Overview
Elegantly refit in 2021, the Bimini Palm Beach Edition cuddy‑cabin sportfishing express cruiser impresses. Repowered that year with the efficient 320hp Volvo Penta D4‑320 inboard diesel, it features a Seakeeper gyro, bow thruster, outriggers, and more.
Detailed Description
Main description
Seakeeper-equipped 2009 Bimini 24 Center Console, beautifully reimagined as a completely refit 24′ Bimini cuddy console in the sought-after Palm Beach Edition. Measuring 24.4' overall, this compact sportfisher pairs a single diesel Volvo Penta D4-320 with the proven Bimini/Topaz deep-V heritage for remarkable efficiency and authority offshore. Settle into a 25-knot cruise while sipping only 10 GPH for a confident 300 nm range, and enjoy precise low-speed control from the Vetus bow thruster. At the helm, dual Garmin 8612 multifunction displays integrate seamlessly with Garmin VHF and Garmin autopilot, while Rupp outriggers, a rigid hardtop, robust LED lighting, and Fusion speakers round out a purposeful, premium specification that blends center-console versatility with the comfort of a protected cuddy.
2021 upgrades
In 2021, the boat received a comprehensive suite of upgrades centered on reliability, handling, and modern comfort: a new Volvo Penta D4 320 hp inboard with just 170 hours was paired to a new ZF transmission, while a Seakeeper 1 gyro stabilizer transformed the ride at rest and underway. Precision docking and stationing were enhanced with a new bow-thruster controller and prop, and all service-critical systems were renewed, including washdown, livewell, and bilge pumps; all thru-hulls, strainers, and hoses; and fresh trim-tab cylinders. Below the waterline, the bottom was stripped to bare fiberglass, epoxy coated, and finished with three coats of Petit bottom paint; the shaft and prop were reconditioned, complemented by a new cutlass bearing, a dripless shaft seal, and a back-up seal. Electrical resilience improved with new batteries and dual alternators, along with new running lights, an onboard battery charger, and Volvo Penta EZ Connect for smart engine data access. Entertainment and lighting saw a new Fusion stereo with speakers and six Sea blaze X underwater lights, while the hardtop gained new rocket launchers. At the helm, electronics were elevated with two Garmin 8612 XSV displays, a 2 kW CHIRP transducer, Garmin autopilot, Garmin radar, and a 50-watt Garmin VHF, and comfort on deck was completed with Sea Deck.
Topaz and Bimini Marine
Topaz Boats, founded in 1974 in Maryland, built a reputation for rugged East Coast sportfishing machines. The marque launched with a 28′ center console and soon introduced what became a legendary 24′ hull, offered as center console, express, and cuddy console, all with inboard power and the stout construction demanded by serious anglers. The range ultimately grew to 39 feet, and although production remained limited—roughly 500 boats in total—their quality set a benchmark until the financial downturn of the 1990s drew production to a close. In the early 2000s, Bimini Marine acquired molds for some of Topaz’s finest models, preserving the DNA of this proven platform. The boat offered here stands as one of the best 24′ examples to benefit from that lineage, uniting a time-tested hull with modern propulsion, integrated electronics, and contemporary stabilization to deliver a refined, bluewater-capable ride.
