General Overview
This exquisite vessel features a design by Blount. The story goes that during a fishing trip, Mr. Blount showcased his new trawler, captivating his friend, Mr. Walter Phipps, who subsequently acquired the design and brought it to life. Mr. Phipps, an engineer at Raytheon, utilized the yacht for a period before it transitioned to NOAA research, focusing on ocean floor minerals.

Current Condition
This yacht boasts four cabins, a galley, a head, and a spacious saloon. While the structure remains robust, it is filled with outdated Raytheon equipment. Some modifications and repairs have been quite unique. Originally crafted for voyages from Massachusetts to Bermuda, she was intended for a 12V71 Detroit engine but currently houses a 6-71. The vessel features a crash-box transmission and an intriguing belt drive system that extends to the stern beneath the engine. With a generous 1200-gallon fuel tank, she is currently located in the Great Lakes, having been brought from saltwater to enjoy the fresh waters.

Upgrades and Features
Any marginal plating has been replaced, ensuring her integrity. She is equipped with modern radar and a transom-mounted transducer, although there remains a significant amount of antiquated electronics that are no longer in use. Initially named Walter Phipps, she later became known as Resolved, and is now called Kathryn Ann.
