Detailed Description
Overview
Thoughtfully outfitted for cruising self-sufficiency, this yacht’s electrical system starts with a 30Amp shore-power inlet and matching 30Amp shore-power cord feeding dedicated 110V and 12V breaker panels, with analog voltmeter and ampmeter for precise monitoring. Ship and hotel loads are supported by both 110V and 12V outlets, while robust 12V circuits run the bilge pump with auto/manual control, cabin lights, USCG navigation lights, courtesy lighting, freshwater, macerator and sump pumps, fans, and the LPG solenoid. Renewable power is delivered by two 130Amp solar panels governed by a Victron solar regulator, complemented by a Victron battery charger (2021), an 80Amp alternator, and a dependable bank of four 6V house batteries (2019) to keep every system energized on the hook.
Navigation and communications are equally capable: a B&G Triton T12 chart plotter (2013) networks with a B&G radar dome (2018), B&G Triton wind speed and direction (2013), and B&G Triton speed and depth (2013), while a Raymarine ST-6001 autopilot steers true and a Ritchie magnetic compass provides timeless, fail-safe reference. Clear, reliable comms come via a B&G VHF (2018) and a B&G wireless RAM mic (2018). For entertainment at anchor or underway, the saloon features an Insigna LCD TV and DVD player, joined by a Clarion AM/FM/Bluetooth stereo (2020) with CD player, delivering rich sound through both salon and cockpit speakers.
Mechanical systems inspire confidence with a Yanmar 3JH3E 40Hp diesel engine showing 1082.1 hrs as of September 2023, mated to a transmission (2021) and monitored at the helm by comprehensive gauges for RPMs and hours, temperature, fuel, and voltage. Ground tackle is handled by a Maxwell 800 windlass, 12V, and onboard amenities include a Dometic freshwater marine head (2017), a Princess three-burner stovetop with oven running on propane, a freezer with top and side loading, a top-loading refrigerator, and a 110V Sunbeam microwave—comfort and practicality perfectly balanced.
Sail handling is effortless with Charleston Spar in-mast furling and a Schaffer furling forestay; the rig was tuned and serviced in 2023, with both the mainsail and the 135% genoa cleaned and serviced the same year. Power at the winches is ample thanks to two Harken #44 ST winches and two Harken #32 ST winches, complemented by a winch handle, a rigid vang, adjustable genoa tracks, and a Garhauer traveler—an efficient, confidence-inspiring sailing platform.
Beyond the essentials, the inventory is impressively complete: a three-blade MaxProp, Model: Easy (2023), and a line cutter (2023); weather protection with a dodger, bimini, and helm cover; cockpit cushions (2021) and perch seat cushions (2021) for relaxed passages; a Lewmar folding wheel (2018) at the helm; a double anchor roller, CQR anchor, Bruce anchor, 80' chain, and 150' rode; safety gear including LifeSling 2 and a Horse Shore Buoy; flexible salon living with a small cocktail table and a large dinner table; docklines, fenders, a swim ladder, an outboard engine hoist and mount, and a cockpit shower; a propane bottle for the galley; a Windex at the masthead and a flag halyard; fresh bottom protection with Hydrocoat antifouling paint (2023) and new zincs (2023). Every detail speaks to careful stewardship and a yacht ready to cast off for the next horizon.
