Overview
SAVANNAH presents a singular chance to acquire one of the most acclaimed and visually captivating Spirit of Tradition sailing yachts afloat. Launched in 1996 by Concordia Yachts and drawn by the legendary David Pedrick, this bespoke carbon-composite cruiser-racer is a decorated contender on the regatta scene and a showstopper in any anchorage. Backed by a documented history of competitive brilliance and a brief devoted to crafting the most beautiful yacht conceivable, she delivers the ideal balance of grace and pace. Attractively valued and meticulously cared for, very few yachts of her caliber and pedigree are presently offered for sale.
Detailed Description
Overview and key features
SAVANNAH speaks to the golden age of yachting, reimagined with modern precision. Interiors styled by John Munford showcase finely crafted mahogany joinery inspired by 1930s yacht design, while natural light pours through traditional skylights to illuminate a spacious saloon. Thoughtfully arranged accommodations welcome up to four guests in two beautifully appointed cabins, achieving a perfect alliance of style on the water and comfort at rest.
Equally suited to luxurious cruising and serious racing, SAVANNAH features an efficient and fast cruising hull form built in carbon fibre, Kevlar, and Corecell foam, yielding a lightweight yet remarkably robust structure capable of reaching speeds of over 18 knots downwind. Designed with easy handling in mind for either a full crew or shorthanded sailing, she performs with poise in light airs and heavy breeze. Her clean lines and pedigree exterior are a testament to the expertise of Pedrick Yacht Designs, embodying a true gentleman racer breed and standing proudly as the most successful “Spirit of Tradition” yacht ever built. Onboard comforts include air conditioning, an updated suite of state-of-the-art navigation electronics, and a state-of-the-art, high-end audio system. Engineered to endure for a century or more, she is a legacy in the making.
Machinery
Power is delivered by a single John Deere 6068SFM85 M3 main engine rated at 199 kW, showing just thirty hours since new, paired with a three-blade Gori folding propeller with overdrive to translate output into smooth, efficient thrust.
Generator & auxiliary systems
Power on board is anchored by one Kohler 13.5Kw generator delivering 230VAC in single phase, commissioned in 2021 and currently showing 866 hours, with fuel consumption of 5-6L. Energy storage and conversion are handled by two Mastervolt 3500W Combi inverter/chargers paired with five Mastervolt 180Ah 24V lithium-ion batteries from 2019, complemented by two 12V AGM starter batteries serving the main engine and generator. Hydraulic functionality is supplied by a Lewmar 24VDC electric power pack working in concert with an engine-driven hydraulic PTO.
Tank capacities
Fuel capacity totals 1,150 L (303 US gallons) carried in two integral hull tanks, complemented by a 50 L day tank for effortless day-to-day operations. Fresh water stores reach 1,300 L (343 US gallons) distributed across three integral tanks, while black water is contained in two tanks of 100 L each. Extended autonomy is assured by a Sea Recovery watermaker producing 280 L per hour.
Ancillary equipment
Climate control is delivered by a CruiseAir reversible hot/cold compressor feeding six Frigomar fancoil units, with all fancoils replaced in 2022/23, and supported by Dometic A/C seawater pumps and Calpeda circulation pumps. Hot water is supplied by 2 kW, 100 L boilers. The sanitation system features a Dometic vacuum toilet installation with two units, complemented by a hand pump in the crew heads. Grey water management is handled by a Dometic transfer pump, with galley discharge direct overboard and the heads sump also led straight overboard. Safety and dewatering are reinforced by a belt-driven Jabsco fire/bilge pump.
Safety & security equipment
The yacht’s safety and security suite is comprehensive, beginning with lifesaving gear that includes eighteen lifejackets, two eight-person liferafts, and two handheld MOB search lights to aid rapid location and recovery. Fire protection is equally robust, with a fixed HFC 227 automatic system in the engine room supported by ten mobile CO2 fire extinguishers positioned for quick response. Oversight and alerting are handled by six independent alarm units, while a Blink motion-detecting camera enhances onboard security.
Communication equipment
Communication aboard is anchored by a Simrad RS86 VHF for dependable ship-to-ship and ship-to-shore contact, while cellular connectivity is managed by a Pepwave internet system featuring four APs and dual 4G SIMs (2022). Overall internet access is further supported by a dedicated Pepwave system.
Navigation
Engineered for precise passagemaking, the navigation suite centers on Furuno Radar NavNet, harmonized with the Maxsea and Expedition cartography system and a Time Zero chart plotter for comprehensive situational awareness. GPS positioning and performance data are delivered through B&G H3000 MFDs and processor, with additional B&G H3000 MFDs providing flexible display options, while a ShipModul Miniplexer (NMEA 2000 and 0183) seamlessly bridges the networks. The helmsman benefits from the original magnetic compass in the cockpit, a stable gyro compass, a new 2025 log, B&G wind instruments, and a B&G rudder angle indicator, all under the assured control of a B&G hydraulic autopilot, with clear communications handled by a 2024 B&G VHF/AIS combo unit.
Deck equipment
At the bow, confident ground tackle begins with a Delta anchor partnered with 110 m of chain, all managed by one Lewmar 3000 windlass fitted with a warping capstan; a capstan is integrated with the Lewmar windlass for smooth, controlled handling. The winch suite, regularly maintained by the crew and most recently serviced in March 2025, is comprehensive and powerful, featuring two hydraulic Lewmar 111 custom bronze alloy primaries, one hydraulic Lewmar 66 main halyard winch, two hydraulic Lewmar 77 mainsheet winches, two manual Lewmar 66 running backstay winches, and three manual Lewmar 66 reefing winches.
The rig is engineered for offshore performance and reliability, with an Offshore Spars carbon mast and boom paired to a slab‑reefed mainsail. Navtec rod rigging benefited from testing and inspection of all rod elements in 2021, while Kevlar Maffioli backstays and Maffioli running rigging were renewed in 2021. Headsail handling is assured by RF90 Reckmann under‑deck hydraulic furling.
A versatile North Sails inventory covers every mode: one North Sails cruising mainsail and one North Sails cruising genoa; one North Sails racing mainsail (2021 Race 3Di) and one North Sails racing genoa (2021 Race 3Di); one North Sails Asym A1.5 (Mar 2019), one North Sails Asym A2a, one North Sails Asym A2b (Oct 2016), one North Sails Asym A3.5 (Mar 2019), and one North Sails Asym A5. The mainsail and one hundred percent foretriangle deliver a combined sail area of 2,900 sq ft. All sails are kept serviced and in good condition, with the most recent service completed in Spring 2025.
Boarding is effortless with a passarelle and a side boarding/swim ladder poised for easy access at anchor or alongside.
Audio and visual entertainment
In the saloon, entertainment is centered around a Samsung Smart TV with a 28-inch display, delivering clear, connected viewing.
Office equipment
A dedicated computer and a multifunction copier/printer ensure seamless productivity on board, providing reliable capability for navigation planning, document handling, and day‑to‑day communications while underway or at anchor.
Galley and domestic equipment
Forward of the saloon to port, opposite the double cabin, the well-appointed galley features a small fridge paired with a custom full-size freezer, a four-burner gas stovetop complemented by a gas oven and grill, twin stainless steel sinks for effortless preparation and cleanup, and a Miele washer and dryer to keep life aboard impeccably convenient.
Accommodation
Traditional interior styling showcases rich, dark mahogany throughout. Accommodations welcome up to four guests in two cabins and up to two crew. The saloon, set forward from the owner’s cabin and reached via a dedicated main companionway, offers a portside built-in lounge/sofa seating arrangement and a fireplace; to starboard, a dining area pairs a large built-in banquette that wraps around the dining table with an additional three chairs to comfortably seat six to seven guests. A built-in desk with a banquette-style seat integrates access controls to the navigation computer, instruments, gauges, and B&G systems, while cabinets and storage are thoughtfully placed throughout, and a skylight bathes the space in natural light.
The starboard guest cabin, forward of the saloon, includes a built-in small double with storage drawers beneath, an end table with additional storage, shelving, a hanging locker, and an ensuite.
Aft, the full-beam owner’s cabin is served by a dedicated, private companionway hatch accessed from the aft cockpit. It features a double bed with built-in drawers and storage offset to port, a starboard built-in sofa/lounge area, and a wardrobe to starboard with hanging space above and a set of three drawers below, complemented by an additional dresser with four drawers. The ensuite presents a bathtub, head, and a vanity with sink.
Crew accommodation in the bow forward of the galley comprises one twin crew cabin with ensuite and a dedicated crew companionway hatch for quick and easy access from the foredeck.
Tender and watersport equipment
The yacht carries a Zondiac Yacht Line 4M tender powered by a Yamaha 60 (F60CE) outboard from 2006, ensuring dependable performance for smooth shore transfers and exploration. Complementing the tender, the watersports collection includes a stand-up paddleboard, a wakeboard, water skis, a mast, and fins, providing effortless enjoyment on the water for every guest.
