Detailed Description

Introduction

Tailored for the North American market, this meticulously conceived yacht glides with assurance through the shallow waters of the Bahamas and Florida, delivering unparalleled comfort and effortless convenience for discerning travelers. Guided by the vision of renowned naval architect Philippe Briand, Vitruvius Yachts brings decades of expertise to every commission; with a portfolio of over 12,000 vessels, Briand’s innovative designs have set industry standards and earned global acclaim, from the record-breaking MARI-CHA IV to the groundbreaking Perini SYBARIS, each creation a testament to excellence and ingenuity.

The Vitruvius Palm Beach advances this legacy with a design crafted for modern exploration enthusiasts, uniting efficiency and luxury as a consummate platform for coastal cruising or true world passage-making. With a length of 46 meters (151’), a beam overall of 8.87 meters (29’), a draft of 1.99 meters (6’6”), and a volume under 500GT, the Vitruvius Palm Beach promises a smooth, composed journey across any waters.

Vitruvius Yachts’ record of delivering high-profile motor yachts from top shipyards—including the Perini GALILEO G, the Feadship NAJIBA and SHINKAI, the 73.3m superyacht GRACE E, and the newly launched 66m Rossinavi ALCHEMY—continues to redefine the boundaries of maritime engineering. The Vitruvius Palm Beach is no exception, with several prominent shipyards currently bidding to bring this vision to life, and, backed by an international team of experts, the project is poised to exceed expectations while offering a customizable experience tailored to individual preferences and tastes.

General specifications

This twin-screw displacement motor yacht unites naval architecture by Philippe Briand Ltd with exterior design by Vitruvius Yachts Ltd, while interior design and shipyard remain TBD. Her hull is constructed in High Strength Steel AH36 with a superstructure in Aluminum 5083 H111/H321. She carries Lloyds Register classification with notation 100A1 SSC YACHT MONO G6 LMC UMS. Accommodations are arranged for an owner and guests—ten persons in five cabins—and for crew—nine persons in five cabins.

Dimensions and performances

At 46.00 m length overall with a 45.44 m waterline length and a maximum beam of 8.70 m, this yacht delivers generous volume and refined balance, drawing just 2.00 m at the 50% load condition. Displacement spans 327 to 335 t lightship, 390 to 400 t at half load, and 420 to 430 t at full load, complemented by an approximate gross tonnage of 480 GRT. Endurance is assured by a 60,000 l fuel capacity, 16,000 l of fresh water, and 16,000 l of black and grey water capacity. Capable of a maximum speed of 15.7 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of 12.0 knots, she offers a range of 4,500 nm at eleven knots, including 16 l/h genset consumption for a 40 kW hotel load on delivery. Performance figures are subject to confirmation with tank testing and CFD studies and may vary with weather conditions.

Propulsion and machinery

Power comes from twin CAT 32 ACERT main engines with a C-rating, driving two fixed-pitch propellers and delivering two times 970 kW of propulsion power. Electrical autonomy is assured by two CAT C4.4 auxiliary generators rated at 100 kW each, providing multi-voltage capability from 110V to 480V at 60 Hz, complemented by a 51 kW emergency generator operating within the same 110V to 480V, 60 Hz range. Precision maneuvering is effortless thanks to an electric, retractable bow thruster rated at 110 kW.

Accommodations

Conceived and meticulously designed for comfortable cruising in shoal-draft waters such as the Bahamas, Florida, and the Chesapeake, she boasts a 6’6” draft at half load while the propellers remain protected. She offers five king staterooms and accommodations for nine crew, complemented by additional walk-in refrigerator/freezer space to support extended cruising.

Lower deck

Access is via a retractable aft gangway to an inviting beach club that features a fresh- or seawater pool, hull-side fold-down bathing platforms to port and starboard, a lounge area, and stairs to the main deck on both port and starboard, complemented by an aft mooring area. A technical storage room is accessible through deck hatches, while the control room and engine room enjoy direct access from the main deck on the port side. In the guest area, four king guest cabins, each with an en-suite bathroom, are served by one central corridor and central stairs leading to the main deck; the two aft cabins convert from twins to king, and a discreet service door connects to the crew area. The crew domain includes service stairs up to the main deck, a laundry, a walk-in fridge/freezer with additional storage space, a crew mess, and one central corridor leading to four double crew cabins, each with an en-suite bathroom.

Main deck

Board via the stern passerelle or the innovative “Transformer” platform from the integral swim platform, or through bulwark gates to port and starboard. The aft beach club unfolds into a resort-style sanctuary with a pool and generous sun pads, while opening bulwarks expand the footprint to create a vast, sea-embraced lounging terrace.

Proceeding forward up steps to port and starboard lies the expansive covered aft deck, where a convertible seating arrangement effortlessly transforms from a ten-guest lounge settee into a ten-person dining area, all serviced by a sophisticated formal bar that elevates open-air entertaining. From here, stairs to port lead to the Skylounge deck, while discreet crew circulation flows down the port side deck into the midships pantry.

A full-beam, full-height, fully glazed four-part sliding door invites you into the main saloon, where a ten-guest convertible lounging and dining area graces the port side and a generous lounge settee anchors starboard. Large, full-height sliding opening glazing along both saloon sides dissolves the boundary between interior and ocean, flooding the space with light and vistas.

Forward to port, the galley and pantry are positioned for effortless service, complete with a crew access door to the side deck passageway. To starboard, a refined lobby includes a well-appointed day head.

Access to the owner’s suite is to starboard through an elegant office and dressing area, revealing a full-beam sanctuary enhanced by a private fold-down balcony to starboard and his-and-her en-suite bathrooms forward.

At the bow, the front garage accommodates a six-meter tender and two jet skis, supported by a SOLAS-compliant sliding beam crane mounted on the garage ceiling. A six-meter-long fold-up shell door to port streamlines the launch of the tender and toys.

Bridge deck

A large, sun-protected aft terrace unfolds with inviting lounge settees and a covered dining table for ten guests, flowing seamlessly through a full-beam, full-height, fully glazed four-part sliding door entrance. Inside, the full-beam upper deck saloon presents a bar to port and lounge settees to starboard, illuminated by large, full-height windows along both port and starboard sides. A pantry, lobby, day head, and service corridor lead to the ship’s office and the captain’s cabin with en-suite bathroom, continuing forward to the wheelhouse. Port-side access guides guests to the foredeck lounge area, while side doors from the wheelhouse to port and starboard open to the foldable side wing stations on the respective passageways. A Portuguese bridge leads to the foredeck guest lounging area featuring seating, sun-pads, and sun awnings, with a mooring pit forward providing access to the garage below.

Sun deck

An expansive aft sunbathing area invites leisurely lounging, while a conveniently placed day head to starboard ensures effortless comfort throughout the day. To port, a well-appointed bar and barbecue area elevates open-air entertaining. Forward, a generously sized, sun-protected lounge centers around a Jacuzzi tub, flanked by sun pads on each side for relaxed repose. Overhead, a robust radar arch carries antennas and aerial equipment, supporting a hard top that provides welcome shade without compromising the yacht’s sleek profile.

Bilge system

Purpose-engineered for clarity and control, the bilge system integrates built-in tanks, a dedicated pump room complemented by practical storage space, and a segregated bow thruster compartment, promoting orderly service access, efficient drainage, and dependable performance.

Optional tenders and toys

Among the optional tenders and toys, the yacht can carry a 6 m Castoldi tender alongside two wave runners and four twelve-man life rafts, with dedicated storage for Seabobs, diving gear, and surfboards to keep every adventure neatly organized. Practical deck features elevate usability and comfort, including one retractable transom gangway and one “Transformer” platform integrated into the swim platform for effortless boarding and water access. For secure holding power, there are two stainless steel HHP anchors, 360 kg each (TBC), while topside functionality is further enhanced by one telescopic forward mast.
