Detailed Description

Overview

The flagship of the Cutwater fleet of fast, efficient family cruisers elevates onboard livability, luxury and convenience with inspired thinking and a wealth of thoughtful details. A generous 10-foot beam grants stretch-out comfort on deck and below, while our trademark Stepped Keel hull places the engine lower than conventional forms allow, enhancing stability and delivering extra headroom throughout the living spaces. The result is an elegant express cruiser that moves with confidence and grace, yet remains remarkably easy to own and operate.

Aft, the cockpit reveals an ingenious convertible seating plan: side bench seats fold outward from each hull side to seat four adults without sacrificing deck space, and the transom’s double seat adjusts to face forward or aft to suit the moment. A clever opening panel in the cabin bulkhead lets you reverse the aft dinette seat to welcome two additional guests for al fresco conversation. On the foredeck, two flush hatches lift to reveal a pair of cushioned observation seats, each with a foot-well that doubles as fender stowage, and the bow platform incorporates a telescoping five-step ladder for effortless access to and from the beach or the water. An expanse of opening windows bathes the main-deck salon in light. Here, a four-place dinette converts to a double berth and is anchored by a beautifully finished custom maple pedestal table with integrated beverage holders and a secure grab rail. The European‑style galley counter runs the full length of the port side with abundant counter space, under‑counter refrigeration, a double stainless‑steel sink and an electric cooktop, and it opens to a contoured aft‑facing lounge. Opposite, the fully instrumented helm features a handsome double‑stitched ultraleather console and a double‑wide helm seat. Beneath the raised dinette, a private guest cabin offers gear stowage, a reading lamp, two hullside portlights and a 6' 8" double berth. Forward, the stateroom presents an island double berth, a large hanging locker and multiple storage compartments, plus four hullside portlights and an opening skylight hatch set in a 6' 8" overhead. The adjacent head includes a vanity with vessel sink, an electric‑flush toilet and a separate shower enclosure with a curved sliding door.

Deck and exterior appointments are equally comprehensive. An anchor pulpit leads the way for a 22 lb stainless anchor served by 50 ft of high‑test chain and 200 ft of rode, all protected by a stainless bow rail. Opening hatches, a hard top and Plas Deck teak decking set the tone, while an aft cockpit sun shade, a secure cockpit door and an extended swim platform with stainless ladder heighten comfort and safety. A factory‑installed combination rear seat integrates a grill and a live‑well, and anglers will further appreciate downrigger plugs and pads, rocket‑launcher holders, rod holders and the dedicated live well. An H2O dinghy davit system is included (not installed). Safety gear is aboard and ready, including an EPIRB V4 beacon, life jackets, flares and a first aid kit. Below the waterline, the optional Midnight Blue hull is accented by a painted boot stripe; the bottom was refinished in June 2020 with Pettit epoxy primer and paint. Running hardware includes a 1.7" shaft with rope cutter, a bronze rudder and a 4‑bladed propeller.

Performance and systems are engineered for confident, economical cruising. Power comes from an efficient 435 hp Volvo D6 diesel inboard with 250 hours, professionally serviced in June 2020 and protected by a 5‑year transferable warranty. A low‑speed module, an oil‑changing system and a fuel polishing system simplify operation and care. Bow and stern thrusters with a wireless remote, plus trim tabs with sensors, make close‑quarters maneuvers precise and docking easy. Climate control is assured by a reverse‑cycle air‑conditioning system with heat delivering 12,000 and 16,000 BTU. Electrical autonomy comes from an Onan/Cummins 5 kW diesel generator with sound shield showing 100 hours, serviced June 2020, upgraded AGM batteries and a Kyocera 140 solar panel with control panel. Lighting is all LED, including Lumitec downlights throughout the cabin, salon, cockpit and head selectable in red, white or blue, blue accent lighting in the aft cockpit and underwater Lumitec lights for a dramatic night presence. Plas Deck decking extends throughout the cabin and cockpit for a unified, low‑maintenance aesthetic.

The helm is comprehensively equipped for confident navigation: two Garmin 7612 multifunction monitors, radar with a 4 kW dome, GPS, a depth sounder/fish finder, a Garmin autopilot with remote, Garmin AIS 600, Garmin GXM 52 XM Weather with antenna and a Garmin GC10 reverse‑image camera mounted on the aft section of the hard top. Two iPhone/iPad mounts with USB charging keep devices secure and powered. The portside galley’s abundant counter space, under‑counter refrigeration, electric stovetop, microwave and double stainless sink make meal preparation effortless, while the raised dinette seats four and converts quickly to a double berth beneath a custom maple pedestal table. The mid‑cabin tucked below the dinette adds practical storage, a comfortable double berth and portlights with reading lamps. The forward stateroom’s island berth, large hanging locker and organized storage keep voyages tidy, and the head’s electric macerating toilet with deck pump‑out, vanity with sink and separate shower with door bring home‑level comfort aboard.

Entertainment and communication are first‑class: a Fusion stereo/CD head unit feeds two Fusion MS‑DA51600 five‑channel amplifiers, six Fusion Signature Series 6.5" marine speakers with blue LED back‑lighting and two Fusion Signature Series 10" sub‑woofers with blue LED back‑lighting. TracVision ensures satellite entertainment, and two TVs are neatly wired into the sound system. With its refined Stepped Keel ride, comprehensive specification and thoughtful innovation throughout, this Cutwater 30 delivers the rare balance of performance, economy and comfort—bringing distant anchorages effortlessly within express‑cruiser reach while maximizing value in every nautical mile.
