Overview
KARIBU is a standout 2011 Ferretti Custom Line 97 that artfully marries enduring Italian design with a broad suite of contemporary upgrades, presenting a truly turnkey luxury motor yacht. Fastidiously maintained and consistently refreshed, she received a comprehensive interior refit in 2024, complemented by significant mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic enhancements carried through 2026.
Accommodating up to 12 guests in five beautifully finished staterooms, KARIBU showcases a coveted on-deck, full-beam owner’s suite with a private lounge, walk-in wardrobe, vanity, and a lavish ensuite adorned with granite countertops and mosaic tilework. Below, two queen guest staterooms and two twin cabins with Pullman berths each enjoy private ensuites, while separate crew quarters comprise a captain’s cabin, two crew cabins, and a dedicated crew lounge for optimal service.
The refined interior highlights rich oak joinery, hardwood flooring, and new carpeting installed during the 2024 refit. A spacious salon provides generous seating, a formal dining arrangement for eight, upgraded Samsung entertainment with surround sound, wine refrigeration, and elevated finishes throughout. The galley has likewise been modernized with premium Miele and Bosch appliances, including a new induction hob, hood extraction, and an under-counter refrigerator/freezer.
Outdoor areas are conceived for effortless entertaining and relaxation. The expansive flybridge of this planing flybridge superyacht features a hardtop with retractable canopy, an oversized wet bar, American-style BBQ, refrigeration, ice maker, granite-topped tables, and plush lounge seating. The teak aft deck invites alfresco dining for eight, while a hydraulic beach club garage houses a Williams 435 Jet Tender and custom storage for water toys. Additional highlights include full teak decks, foredeck sunpads, a Besenzoni hydraulic passerelle and davit, NEMO side-boarding doors, and freshly polished hull and topsides completed in 2026.
Powered by twin 2,000 HP MTU 16V 2000 M93 engines, twin 55kW Kohler generators, and low-hour Seakeeper 9 and Seakeeper 18 gyrostabilizers, KARIBU delivers impressive performance and serene comfort underway. Extensive recent upgrades include four new Dometic variable-speed A/C chillers, rebuilt ASEA power converters, new engine and house batteries with chargers, new watermaker membranes, new blackwater and greywater pumps, serviced ABT bow thruster, serviced Besenzoni systems, Starlink connectivity, updated electronics, and numerous additional mechanical improvements. With an exemplary maintenance pedigree, sumptuous accommodations, and a rare breadth of new equipment, KARIBU stands out as an exceptional opportunity to acquire one of the most meticulously updated Ferretti Custom Line 97 motor yachts on the market today.
Detailed Description
Recent upgrades
Freshly polished hull and topsides set the tone for a comprehensive program of enhancements. In 2026, a new blackwater and greywater pump was fitted. The 2025 works included new watermaker membranes and manifold, new engine batteries with a battery charger, and new house batteries with a battery charger. The Besenzoni passerelle and Dafit were serviced in January 2025, and a new garage door and new rudder manifolds were installed that year as well. A complete interior refit in 2024 transformed the living spaces, supported by two ASEA POWER AC36VII power converters for US electric power specs rebuilt in 2024, and an ABT bow thruster serviced in 2024. Comfort and finish received further attention with all new exterior cushions and all new interior carpeting installed in 2024, together with an all new anchor rode chain. For superior stability, Seakeeper 9 and Seakeeper 18 gyro stabilizers with low hours were installed in 2023.
Galley upgrades elevate onboard culinary capability with a new Miele hood vent, a new Bosch induction cooktop, and a new Summit drawer‑style under‑counter fridge/freezer, all installed in 2024.
AV upgrades modernize entertainment and connectivity with a new salon and master TV installed in 2024, complemented by a Starlink antenna added the same year.
Air conditioning is comprehensively renewed by a four‑unit Dometic VARCX48E chiller system installed in 2024, featuring variable‑speed chillers with integrated load management. The system was serviced in 2026 and benefits from a new raw‑water AC pump and a new chilled‑water loop pump, while the Dometic Breathe System ensures clean, conditioned air throughout the boat.
Layout and accommodations
Five cabins sleep twelve guests in a thoughtfully arranged configuration: an on-deck, full-beam master suite with couch seating, a vanity, granite countertops, a mosaic shower, and a walk-in closet; two guest cabins with queen beds and en suite heads with showers; and two guest cabins with twin berths, each with a Pullman and an en suite head with shower.
Salon
Step into the salon where hardwood floors provide a warm foundation and oak-grain wood flows throughout, complemented by new carpets for added comfort and refinement. Entertainment is anchored by an LG TV with immersive surround sound, while hospitality is effortlessly supported by two wine coolers, a freezer, an ice maker, and staging tables for elegant service. A conveniently located day head completes this sophisticated gathering space.
Galley
The galley is outfitted with Miele appliances, pairing an oven/microwave with a precision cooktop and a spacious double-door refrigerator. Gleaming stainless steel countertops and backsplashes ensure durability and easy upkeep, while custom cabinetry and dedicated pantry doors provide abundant, organized storage with a refined finish.
Exterior and deck
Teak decks flow seamlessly throughout, setting the stage for alfresco living under a flybridge hardtop with a retractable canopy, where U-shaped exterior seating with granite tables is complemented by exterior upholstered cushions, bridge shields, and custom canvas shades. Entertain with ease at the wet-bar with three barstools and an outdoor kitchen featuring an American style oversize BBQ, refrigeration, ice maker, and sink, while additional built-in refrigeration includes a Frigidbar on the flybridge, an icemaker on the flybridge, and an Isotherm fridge on the aft deck. Forward and above, foredeck and bridge sunpads invite relaxation, and aft, a teak dining table offers seating for eight alongside adjustable rear-facing seating and a third control station aft for confident close-quarters handling.
A full-beam, spacious garage opens via an aft-opening “beach club” teak-laid garage door, revealing custom cradles for water-toys and housing a Williams Projet 435 dinghy and a POP3 Aquabanas Pool. Practicality and precision meet with NEMO port and starboard lateral doors and a hydraulic Besenzoni pasarelle and davit, while twin Bruce-type anchors, a swim ladder, two self-inflating life rafts, and a comprehensive fire system underscore safety and seamanship at every turn.
Engine room and mechanics
The engine room showcases two MTU M93 16V 2000HP engines complemented by two 55 kW Kohler generators, all supported by Dometic VARCX48E units delivering Tropical BTU air conditioning and an ASEA A-36VII frequency converter for seamless power management. Long-range autonomy is enhanced by a Seafari Horizon watermaker rated at 900 GPD, while onboard comforts are assured by two hot water heaters, MasterVolt battery chargers, and a washer/dryer.
Hydraulics, stabilizers, and bow thruster systems include a Seakeeper 9 with 197 hours and a Seakeeper 18 with 205 hours for exceptional roll reduction, two Lofrans windlasses and two Lofrans capstans for dependable ground tackle handling, and precise maneuvering via an ABT bow thruster. Deck and tender operations are aided by a Besenzoni Dafit and a Besenzoni Pasarelle, garage access is managed by a PressMair garage door controller, and the running gear benefits from Prop Speed on the shaft and props.
Electronics and navigation
Command the voyage with two Furuno Navnet 3D MFDBB units partnered with two Furuno radar antennas and a Furuno AIS, delivering seamless situational awareness and precision. An Airmar 1 kW transducer, together with GPS, radar, and chartplotter functionality, provides accurate readings and clear guidance, while the Naviop monitoring system keeps onboard systems continuously supervised. Confident handling comes from the Furuno autopilot and tridata, complemented by a depth sounder, compass and log-speedometer, and a VHF radio for reliable communications. After dark, a FLIR night vision camera, a CCTV full camera monitoring system, and a powerful searchlight extend visibility and safety. Entertainment is elevated by Samsung televisions and surround sound throughout.
Crew
Designed to support professionalism and comfort at sea, the dedicated crew domain includes a welcoming crew mess lounge with new AV and TVs for effortless downtime and briefings. Accommodations are thoughtfully arranged with two cabins featuring twin bunks, complemented by a separate captain’s quarters for privacy and command readiness, while two heads ensure efficient service and convenience for the entire team.
