2022-2023 refit history

During 2022–2023 a comprehensive refit elevated Seven You’s capability, safety, and comfort. Major machinery and handling systems saw meticulous attention, including overhauls of the anchor windlass, passerelle, sundeck crane, bow and stern thrusters, generators, and main engines, alongside a full steering‑system service and extra works executed for engines and generators. Structural and deck enhancements included reinforcement of the swimming platform with improved jetski manoeuvring, reinforcement of stainless‑steel handrails, sandblasting of the hull followed by antiskid paint application, and fresh paint for the crane and bar. Practical upgrades on the foredeck added a fabricated step leading to the sun pads, new chain‑locker hatches, a newly laid 2 sqm teak section on the bow, and replacement teak on the stairs to the swimming platform. Propulsion and exhaust lines were renewed with shaft line and propellers repaired and calibrated, and the exhaust line repaired with new covers, while sacrificial zincs were replaced for optimal protection. The navigation suite was modernized with new Raymarine Axiom 9" and 12" displays, Navionics charts, a transducer, a 24‑mile radar antenna, two Raymarine P70RS autopilots, VHF HM390C‑BB DSC, and Raymarine AIS 700, complemented by navigation works fac 814. On the systems side, the refit brought black‑water system works, a Maretron installation for enhanced monitoring, new batteries, renewed engine‑room extractors, and climate‑control upgrades featuring new air‑conditioning chillers, replacement fan coils, and comprehensive cleaning of all AC circuits and piping prior to installing the new chillers. The watermaker underwent a full overhaul, eight underwater lights were added for dramatic nocturnal ambiance, and a shore water treatment system was installed for reliable dockside operation. The original swimming ladder was removed and replaced with a sleek carbon fiber swimming ladder, while general boat supplies and materials supported the project end‑to‑end, and yard services—Travelift and esplanade—ensured precise handling throughout.
