Detailed Description
Walkthrough
FIRTH'S CHASM is a fully refitted 77 Convertible with Enclosed Bridge, a proven offshore sportfish that marries tournament-level capability with true motor‑yacht comfort. Built on Hatteras’ solid fiberglass hull with a 22' beam, this renowned platform is celebrated for its seakeeping, generous interior volume, and long‑range cruising ability.
A comprehensive 2024 refit elevates her throughout, including all new soft goods, new flooring and carpet, and all new appliances. A brand‑new full teak cockpit with a fighting chair anchors the fishing program, while a substantial ten‑camera Hikvision security system with night vision, two FLIR night‑vision cameras fore and aft, and a marine Starlink receiver deliver confident situational awareness and offshore connectivity.
The teak cockpit is purpose‑built for serious angling, with expansive deck space, mezzanine seating, in‑deck fish boxes, and dedicated tackle storage. Excellent engine room access keeps service and inspections straightforward, and the layout deftly supports both competitive crews and an owner‑operator.
Step into the salon and the space opens bright and inviting with high‑quality custom woodwork, large windows, and a comfortable seating plan. To starboard, a spacious L‑shaped settee invites relaxation, while the port side carries fine cabinetry and an entertainment center. The salon flows seamlessly forward to the galley and dinette, creating an ideal main‑deck environment for cruising and entertaining.
The galley is fully equipped with all new appliances, including a full‑size Miele refrigerator, new marble countertops, and abundant storage. The forward dinette offers excellent visibility and serves as a convivial gathering spot under way or at anchor. Just forward to starboard, a utility room houses a new Samsung washer and dryer.
Below, FIRTH'S CHASM offers a highly desirable four‑stateroom, four‑head arrangement. Amidships, the full‑beam master features a king berth, ample storage, and a private en‑suite with separate shower. The forward VIP presents a queen berth with private head access. Two additional guest staterooms—one twin and one double—each with en‑suite heads, ensure comfortable accommodations for owners and guests alike.
The enclosed bridge is a standout, doubling as a commanding helm and a climate‑controlled sky lounge. Forward, the helm affords excellent sightlines and houses an all‑new electronics suite with three 22" Garmin displays. Aft, comfortable seating and entertainment amenities— including an overhead‑mounted TV with Starlink connectivity and a full bar to port with sink—make this an ideal venue for hosting while under way.
Crowning it all, the fully equipped sky bridge carries a 22" Garmin display, VHF, bow and stern thruster controls, ABT Trac stabilizer controls with zero‑speed capability, and a large Garmin gauge display—equipment newly installed in 2024.
The 2011 Hatteras 77 Enclosed Bridge remains one of the most sought‑after large convertibles on the market, distinguished by exceptional build quality, performance, and versatility—ideal for owners pursuing long‑range cruising, tournament fishing, and comfortable extended stays aboard.
Equipment
Power comes from MTU 16V 2000 main engines showing 1,876 hours each (port serial # 536107065, starboard serial # 536107064), paired to ZF transmissions and monitored by two MTU displays in the wheelhouse. Comfort and poise at sea are assured by ABT Trac fin stabilizers with zero‑speed capability, while American Hydraulic bow and stern thrusters enhance close‑quarters control. Ship’s power is supplied by two Onan 27.5 kW generators (60 Hz, 120/240 V) with 2,967 hours to port and 2,837 hours to starboard. Navigation and awareness are elevated by three 24" Garmin displays in the wheelhouse and one on the sky bridge (2024), a Garmin open‑scanner radar (2024), two FLIR night‑vision cameras (forward and aft), and an ACR search light.
Running gear and deck equipment include new seven‑blade Nibral propellers (48x80.5), a Maxwell stainless‑steel windlass with new polished stainless‑steel anchor and chain, and a 1,000 lb Nautical Structures davit on the foredeck. The exterior presents with Alexseal “Cloud white” paint and four underwater lights. Systems aboard comprise Cruise Air air conditioning, a VACS America central vacuum system, Bennett trim tabs, an air compressor, Mastervolt battery chargers, a Sea Recovery water maker (AWC 450-1800), a water heater, and LED interior lighting.
The cockpit is outfitted for action with a refrigerator, an ice maker, fish boxes with macerator pumps, a salt‑water washdown, and an ice chipper in the cockpit (needs service), while Glenndenning shore‑power cable management simplifies hookups. The upper decks feature Sea dek decking. Safety and sound are covered by two six‑person Datrex life rafts and JL Audio speakers distributed throughout the exterior. Communications include three ICOM VHF radios in the wheelhouse and one on the skybridge—specifically two ICM 605 and one IC‑M802.
Interior conveniences span a full‑sized Samsung washer and dryer, a trash compactor, and a Fusion microwave. Please note: WILLIAM JET TENDER IS NOT INCLUDED IN SALES PRICE.
Enclosed bridge
The enclosed bridge serves as a refined command center and lounge, featuring two 24" Garmin MFD screens (2024), two ICOM IC‑M604 VHF units, and one ICOM IC‑M802 VHF, all complemented by MTU digital engine displays and a Garmin autopilot (2024). Bow and stern thruster controls fall readily to hand, while a pneumatic sliding door adds a crisp, premium touch.
Comfort is equally prioritized with a full‑sized couch and a full bar, anchored by a 50" Samsung TV for entertainment. The helm is appointed with a Pompanette Platinum Series helm seat, delivering the ergonomic support expected on long passages.
Sky bridge
Above, the sky bridge is all business with three helm seats, one Garmin 8624 MFD 24" screen (2024) and one Garmin 923 MFD 9" screen (2024), MTU controls, and an ICOM VHF for clear communications. Additional seating forward of the helm keeps guests engaged with the action, while a Fusion MS‑RA55 stereo control sets the soundtrack to the horizon.
Salon
The salon invites easy living, with a full sofa to starboard (STBD) opposite a day head to port and convenient bridge stairs also to port. Entertaining is effortless at the portside bar with ice maker, while a 55" TV with Bose surround sound faces the forward starboard (FWD STBD) dinette, and a dedicated wine cooler keeps vintages at the ready.
Galley
Thoughtfully equipped for extended cruising, the galley features a full‑size Miele residential refrigerator, two freezer drawers, a convection microwave, a Frigidaire cooktop, a trash compactor, a dishwasher, and an ice maker—everything at hand for effortless provisioning and gourmet preparation underway.
