Overview

1999 74' Motor Yacht—American pedigree, timeless presence, and enviable performance. Lying in the United States, this 74-footer carries herself with the quiet confidence of a true luxury cruiser: broad-shouldered with an 18-foot beam, beautifully balanced on a Hatteras-designed modified V-hull, and finished in low‑maintenance fiberglass from stem to stern.

Underway, she is all composure and authority. Twin Caterpillar diesel inboards deliver a confident 22-knot cruise and up to 24 knots on demand—swift enough to shorten passages while preserving the serene ride and sound attenuation expected of a yacht of this caliber. Generous tankage—approximately 1,596 gallons of fuel and 345 gallons of fresh water—supports meaningful range for coastal and island-hopping itineraries, underscoring her bluewater capability.

Life on deck is inviting and effortless. Broad side decks and an expansive aft area set the stage for alfresco dining at anchor or cocktail hour under the stars. The main salon welcomes with yacht-class proportions, natural light, and refined finishes—an elegant canvas for relaxed evenings, intimate gatherings, or a quiet morning coffee with a panoramic view. A practical, well-appointed galley keeps hosts and guests connected, balancing culinary ambition with seagoing sensibility.

Below, the private accommodation is crafted for restorative nights at sea. A serene stateroom—thoughtfully arranged for a solo owner or dedicated captain—offers the comfort and privacy of a boutique retreat, complemented by a spacious, finely finished head with separate shower. A discreet crew/captain’s berth enhances owner-operator flexibility without sacrificing valuable guest space elsewhere onboard.

Her design emphasizes strength, reliability, and lasting value: solid fiberglass construction, a sea-kindly hull form, and the trusted pull of twin Caterpillar diesels. Whether carving confidently through a coastal chop or gliding into a quiet harbor at dusk, this yacht rewards discerning owners who seek a refined, capable platform with the soul of a traveler.

Detailed Description

Aft deck

The aft deck is shaded by a hardtop and arranged for easy elegance, with a table and four chairs set amid custom low-height rails that preserve the sweeping views. From the starboard quarter, a graceful set of curved stairs descends to the swim platform, while a generous transom storage compartment keeps gear neatly stowed. The aft salon bulkhead is a wall of glass with double sliding doors, creating a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor living.

Salon

Step into the salon to find an inviting L‑shaped settee to port with a coffee table, balanced by a comfortable club chair to starboard. A custom entertainment center and bar integrates a 40" LCD flat‑panel TV, an AM/FM stereo receiver with CD player, a VCR, a DSS receiver, a master distribution center, and Panasonic phones, all elegantly concealed yet instantly at hand. Just forward, a staircase to starboard leads to the accommodations below while a dining area to port welcomes lingering meals with a view. Abundant natural light pours through the large windows across the entire main deck, enhancing visibility and the sense of space.

Galley

Forward, the galley to port faces a built‑in dinette to starboard, creating a convivial hub for cooking and conversation. An oversized counter with glass dish storage, a custom divider, and tailored lighting defines the transition between galley and salon, while maple flooring adds warmth underfoot. The equipment suite is comprehensive: a double sink, a Whirlpool dishwasher, a KitchenAid refrigerator/freezer with icemaker, a Whirlpool four‑burner electric stove, and a convection/microwave oven, all ready to elevate every meal at sea.

Pilothouse

Continuing forward, the pilothouse is finished in maple paneling and flooring and offers sliding doors to both port and starboard for effortless sidedeck access. Here you will also find stairs and a hatch up to the flybridge as well as a stairwell down to the accommodations, placing command at the center of circulation. The helm environment is professionally specified with AC distribution panels, a DC distribution panel, a DC electronics panel, an AC switching panel, duplex outlets, a phone outlet, a searchlight, Track Vision Sat TV, an autopilot, and a Navtex NCR 300A with paper readout, along with all the requisite console features. Equipment includes a Caterpillar Vision system, Naiad stabilizers, a bow thruster, a Garmin GPS Network, a Roberston AP 300x autopilot with two 3010 and one 3006 displays, a Sea SSB radio and hailer, a Datamarine Link sounder, a Datamarine Link speed log, a wind speed indicator, a Furuno 72‑mile radar, a 941 GPS with remote, a Sea 156 VHF, and ACR spotlight control.

Master stateroom

Below aft, the master stateroom centers on a queen berth flanked by nightstands with drawers and complemented by built‑in dressers to port and starboard. The en‑suite head pampers with a Jacuzzi tub and Corian countertops. Maple paneling, screened portlights, a walk‑in cedar closet, and a built‑in loveseat create a serene retreat. Amenities include AC and DC light fixtures, phone, TV, stereo, VCR, and DDS Sat TV, ensuring comfort and entertainment. Just forward to port, a fifth stateroom doubling as an office provides built‑in cabinets and wiring for fax and computer, along with a desk and chair, a closet, and upper and lower berths.

VIP stateroom

Amidships below, the VIP stateroom features a queen bed with an upholstered headboard and storage beneath, adjacent nightstands with drawers, and a dresser, all within refined maple paneling. Screened portlights, a cedar‑lined closet, AC and DC light fixtures, duplex outlets, a telephone outlet, an intercom to the master stateroom, a TV, a VCR, and a stereo complete the comforts. Private access leads to the guest head, fitted with a Corian countertop and integral sinks, tile flooring, a shower/tub/Jacuzzi with a bi‑fold door, and a practical storage cabinet.

Guest stateroom forward

All the way forward, the third guest stateroom offers a queen bed with storage beneath, a nightstand, dressers, a cedar‑lined closet, stereo speakers and phone, and the privacy of its own head.

Guest stateroom port

Forward to port, the fourth guest stateroom is arranged with upper and lower berths, storage beneath, and a cedar‑lined closet. The guest head lies to starboard with a stall shower, a countertop with an integral sink, and a storage cabinet below.

Fly bridge

The flybridge presents a custom radar arch and a molded fiberglass hardtop, with useful storage beneath the console. Stainless grab rails, a tinted acrylic windshield, and a well‑organized console frame the helm, where Stidd helmsman and companion seats face U‑shaped bridge seating for guests. A custom bar serves the space with an icemaker, refrigerator, sink, stereo, and lighting controls. Aft of the flybridge lounge, dedicated stowage accommodates a 13' Boston Whaler Dauntless and a Marquipt davit.

Deck equipment

Purposeful deck equipment enhances cruising ease, beginning with a large swim platform with a boarding ladder and a Marquipt 1500 lb full‑rotation davit for reliable tender handling. Ground tackle is attended to by an anchor with line, a deck hawse pipe, and a fiberglass bow pulpit fitted with a stainless steel anchor chute and roller. At the dock, water inlets with a pressure‑regulating valve make shoreside connections simple and safe.

Electrical system

Robust ship’s power is delivered by 110/220‑volt AC at 50 amps, complemented by two 240‑volt 50‑amp transformer‑connected retractable shore cords and two 20 kW Onan generators. House supply comes from 12‑volt marine batteries with an automatic charger and two banks of heavy‑duty 24‑volt batteries. Battery control panels with fuses and isolation switches, DC distribution panels with magnetic circuit breakers and a battery condition meter, and an AC switching panel with voltmeter, ammeter, and frequency meter provide clear oversight. Generator start/stop controls with interlock selector breakers, a systems monitor with visual and audible alarms for engines and gears, bilge water, fire extinguisher discharge, and AC power loss, plus a TV monitor system for the engine room and back deck, round out a confidently engineered electrical suite.

Engine /mechanical equipment

Engineering is specified for endurance and peace of mind, beginning with Caterpillar engine gauges overseeing twin freshwater‑cooled Caterpillar main engines breathing through exhaust silencers. Control and maneuvering are enhanced by a Naiad 37 hp bow thruster driven off the port engine and Naiad stabilizers. Reliability is supported by a DC bilge blower, engine block heaters, a fire control system with automatic and remote manual controls, and seawater strainers, with hour meter and water‑lift muffler for precise service tracking. Comfort at anchor comes from a Sea Recovery 1200 gpd water maker and a pressurized freshwater system with a 40‑gallon electric heater, while a sewage holding tank is plumbed for dockside discharge. Practical touches include two AC ventilation fans, remote start, a fuel tank selector manifold, an oil change system for mains and generators, duplex fuel filters with water separators, and fuel priming pumps.

Upgrades

Thoughtful upgrades elevate the yacht’s finish and function: the carpet was replaced in the winter of 2014, as was the wallpaper on the stairway to the master stateroom, with the stairway wallpaper to the forward staterooms also renewed that winter. All wheelhouse woodwork was refinished in the summer of 2014, and the flooring in the wheelhouse and galley was replaced that summer as well. Wallpaper in the crew quarter head and in the day head was updated in the winter of 2014. In August 2015, new Stidd chairs were installed on the flybridge. The galley received a new dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator in 2013, while the flybridge gained a new refrigerator and icemaker in 2014; the flybridge plexi windscreen was replaced in 2011. All exterior windows were re‑caulked in 2013, and new bow cushions arrived the same year. The flybridge lower helm was recovered in 2014, and new dinette cushions were fitted in the galley in 2014. A walk‑through engine room layout improves serviceability. Climate comfort was advanced with a new compressor and air handler in the bow stateroom in 2013 and a new compressor in the galley in 2014. Throughout, a maple wood interior ties the aesthetic together with timeless warmth.
