Overview

Custom-built Seaview 48 is a standout choice for our crewed charter fleet, bareboat charter program, or discerning private ownership. A brand-new 48-foot sailing catamaran available for under $800 is remarkable, and when you factor in craftsmanship that outclasses typical production boats plus extensive personalization—hull colors, upholstery, textiles, countertops, and wood finishes—this becomes a rare opportunity in the luxury yacht and multihull market.

The Seaview 48 catamaran delivers confident performance with refined proportions: 14.7 meters overall, 8.02 meters of beam, and a 1.5-meter draft. An 80-square-meter mainsail paired with a 50-square-meter foresail marries contemporary engineering with classic cruising yacht elegance, offering superb stability and efficient passagemaking suited to Class I navigation zones. With an optional automatic steering system enabling easy single-handed operation and a 48KWH lithium iron phosphate battery bank powering air conditioning for 6–8 hours overnight, this performance catamaran sets a high bar for bluewater comfort and capability.

On the foredeck, a generous trampoline is complemented by a fully enclosed chain locker and concealed windlass for clean lines and peace of mind underway. An optional slide-action sunshade deploys smoothly for cool, breezy protection and retracts to keep the area open with sweeping sea views. For unforgettable evenings, an optional open-air, sea-view projection cinema turns the bow into a private waterside theater. Aft, the cockpit invites relaxation with a plush sofa and dining table, creating a welcoming alfresco hub for a charter yacht or private cruiser.

The galley’s sliding window opens directly to the cockpit, so the chef can stay engaged with guests while prepping meals. An optional hydraulic swim platform transforms the transom into a flexible terrace—raised, it extends the social space; lowered, it becomes an elegant tender lift and diving platform for effortless access to the water.

Above, the flybridge is a versatile sanctuary featuring a barbecue, dining table, and sun lounges—the perfect perch for sunset dinners and lazy afternoons. Optional hardtop solar panels harvest energy to support daily domestic loads, a thoughtful touch for liveaboard and long-range cruising.

Inside, the salon is framed by expansive glazing that floods the space with natural light. Dual sliding glass doors fore and aft encourage effortless flow, inviting you to wander between bow lounge and aft cockpit. The open-plan galley anchors the social scene, while below deck, spacious suites offer comfortable berths, private bathrooms, and abundant storage. Meticulous detailing maximizes volume without compromising elegance, delivering a serene, sophisticated environment worthy of a modern flybridge catamaran built for bluewater adventures.

Detailed Description

Hull Structure

From hull through deck and flybridge, the entire structure is crafted in vacuum‑infused laminate and finished in a flawlessly faired white gelcoat across hull and superstructure. The laminate schedule leverages anti‑osmotic vinylester resin, with multi‑axial composite fabrics consolidated by unsaturated polyester resin for outstanding stiffness and impact resistance, then further strengthened by targeted carbon‑fiber structural reinforcements. A PVC‑foam sandwich throughout topsides and decks reduces weight while elevating rigidity and thermal‑acoustic insulation. Safety is integral, with watertight bulkheads isolating the engine room and forepeak to preserve integrity in demanding conditions. Beneath the waterline, the hull bottom is protected by premium anti‑fouling from a leading international brand, sustaining efficiency and speed between haul‑outs.

Fore Cockpit

Forward, a non‑skid gelcoat deck frames a beautifully appointed fore cockpit accessed directly via one weathertight door from the salon. Concealed beneath are two hidden storage lockers and a 316L stainless‑steel round floor hook, while an openable deck hatch with an anti‑slip finish adds light and natural ventilation. Comfort comes courtesy of two rail seats in FRP to port and starboard and two L‑shaped FRP sofas dressed with two sets of tailored cushions and one set of sunpad modules, served by two FRP tea tables on fixed aluminum pedestals. Ground tackle is first‑class, with a 40 kg stainless‑steel anchor, 90 m of galvanized anchor chain with 10 mm diameter, and 316L stainless‑steel anchor plate, roller, and chain stopper, handled by one manual windlass and one manual winch. Night operations benefit from one 24V search light and one set of sidelights for port and starboard. Safety and utilities are close at hand, including one 220V fire pump feeding one set of DN40 fire hydrant through one dedicated fire‑pump start control box, two universal sockets, one FRP sea strainer, and a 316L stainless‑steel deck drain, with a warm glow from a 24V sofa‑skirting strip light.

The side decks continue the theme with non‑skid gelcoat underfoot and an openable deck hatch with an anti‑slip surface, complemented by 316L stainless‑steel out‑fittings and robust 316L stainless‑steel handrails with white lifelines. Mooring is effortless thanks to eight 12 inch 316L stainless‑steel cleats along the bulwarks, supported by 316L stainless‑steel fuel and water filling points, pumping and venting hardware. Readiness is designed‑in with two life‑ring holders, three stainless‑steel chainplates for the mast, two quick‑closing pull rings for the fuel tanks, four pad eyes for the engine‑room ventilation dampers, and a recessed function box neatly integrated into the bulwark.

Aft, the cockpit mirrors this sense of purpose. The non‑skid gelcoat deck is braced by two stainless‑steel supports, and a stainless‑steel staircase with solid‑teak steps rises fluidly from the aft cockpit to the flybridge. Service is simplified via one openable hatch connecting the galley to the aft cockpit. Seating includes two sofas on FRP bases, three sets of fitted cushions, and an aft‑cockpit sofa with storage beneath, centered around one FRP tea table on a fixed aluminum pedestal. Polished 316L stainless‑steel handrails and backing add security, while two under‑deck storage lockers, one set of CO2 fire extinguishers, and two lockable engine‑room hatches underscore safety. After dark, 24V ceiling lights, 24V emergency ceiling lights, 24V step lights, and a 24V sofa‑skirting strip light create layered illumination. System oversight is intuitive with two sets of manual bilge‑pump operation panels and one emergency charge‑and‑discharge panel.
