Detailed Description
I. Hull & deck
A hand-finished 14 mm teak main deck sweeps from bow to stern, secured by a high bulwark with flush-mounted LED deck lights and twin rear bulwark side doors providing a boarding gate on each side. At the bow, stainless-steel integral rollers and a chain stopper serve dual anchor chains driven by twin vertical electric anchor winches, Maxwell VWC6000C/HYD, a chromed, dual-direction matched pair fitted with chain wheel C1=3182/016 (1/2" HT) and supplied with two AA560 rope/chain counter remote controls, one band brake, one chain roller stopper tensioner, and one handheld remote. Aft mooring is effortless with two sets of Maxwell VC2200W/D vertical electric capstans, wide drum, single direction, 24 VDC, chromed, each supported by a foot switch with cover, an 80-amp breaker panel, and a reversing solenoid pack, 24 VDC. Ground tackle comprises two 250 lb stainless-steel anchors and two high-tensile galvanized anchor chains—left 300 feet (5/8") and right 300 feet (5/8")—kept pristine by a fresh-water anchor chain wash down. III. Engine propulsion & steering system
Power comes from twin CAT C-32 ACERT engines, 1925 HP each, coupled to ZF2070A marine gearboxes with a 2.467:1 ratio, x 2, seated on Soundown engine mounts to reduce vibration. Raw-water protection includes sea strainers for engines, generators, air conditioning, and water maker, and seacocks on all underwater fittings. IV. Engine room & equipment
The engine room is a well-planned, spacious space with removable Nida-Core deck plates and Pyrotek noise-control sound insulation, sealed forward by a watertight bulkhead up to the entrance door. Fresh-water pressure is assured by a high-volume AC pump with a DC back-up: Headhunter XR-124 12–24 VDC x 1 and Headhunter M5-230 Mach 5 230 VAC x 2. Fuel is carried in FRP tanks with a Headhunter fuel gauge, including one 3434 gal fuel tank x 1. Maintenance is simplified with a Reverso OP-704 24 V oil change pump for engines, generators, and clutches, a heavy-duty engine room door with viewing window, and a Henderson MK5 universal mount manual bilge pump x 1. Fuel transfer is handled by Tuthill FR2410C 24 V 1/4 HP x 2 with Tuthill 901-1 x 2 and an external stainless-steel cover at the engine exhaust. Service utilities include a fresh-water hose for filling engines and generator and an expansion tank in the engine room, with basin LP-7000 x 1, tap Scandvik 10477 Compact Mixer White x 1, and shower drain Rule 98 800 GPH 24 V x 1. Autonomy is extended by a Sea Recovery 1400 GPD water maker (one), complete with pre-filter, oil/water separator, carbon filter, SRC FWF/AW, automatically rinsing with fresh water. V. Electrical system
Command and confidence are anchored by an OctoPlex distributed power control and monitoring system governing all main ship systems, including tank level alarms and monitoring, pump control, bilge status, and full electrical load management. Ship’s power is supplied at 110/220 volts from generator or shore power, with twin Glendinning Cablemaster CM-8 100-amp, 24 V shore power inlets in the transom, each with 120' cable, and a Glendinning radio remote control 04155 set with two transmitters. Energy storage uses 225 amp/hr gel cell sealed batteries: service Lifeline GPL-8DL 255 amp x 4, engine Lifeline GPL-8DL 255 amp x 4, and gensets Lifeline GPL-8DL 255 amp x 2, all enclosed in fiberglass boxes with covers. AC volt duplex receptacles are distributed throughout, including the engine room, with GFI protection for required AC outlets (Vimar 16511.16B 120 V~60 Hz). Power quality is safeguarded by Charles 93-ISOBOST 100‑amp automatic isolation and boosting transformers x 2. VI. Plumbing system
