Overview
This 2019 Lagoon 450F catamaran is so comprehensively outfitted that you can step aboard and set off to circumnavigate with confidence. There are tens of thousands invested in spares—parts, hatches, and pumps—along with tools, toys, plush bedding, and complete flatware, plus electric scooters and paddleboards, and more besides. A robust, extra-tall guardrail boosts safety and is just one of the many enhancements that elevate this yacht. A true bluewater multihull and turnkey cruising catamaran, it suits liveaboard comfort, offshore sailing, and premium charter alike.
Detailed Description
Technical data
A profile defined by precision and performance: length overall is 13.96 m (45'10"), with an expansive beam of 7.87 m (25'1"). Mast clearance is 23.05 m (75'8"), and, for all installed electronics, one should assume 77’. Draft is 1.3 m (4'3"), while displacement (ECC) stands at 15.1 t. Power under sail is generous, with an upwind sail area of 130 m2 (1399 sqft); the optional square‑top mainsail measures 81 m2 (872 sqft), the furling genoa is 51 m2 (549 sqft) with new UV protection fitted in April 2022, the Code 0 by DOYLE is 90 m2 (969 sqft), and the WINGAKER kite reaches 190 m2 (2045 sqft). Fresh water capacity totals 3 x 175 ltr (3 x 46 US gal) and fuel capacity is 2 x 520 ltr (2 x 137 US gal). Propulsion comes from the upgraded twin engines at 2 x 57 Hp (optional extra), currently showing just under 2000 hrs. Naval architecture is by Van Peteghem‑Lauriot Prevost, with interiors by Nauta Design. EC Certification is A:12, B:14, C:20, D:30. Standing headroom is 2.06 m in the saloon and 2.04 m in the cabins and bathrooms. Electrical systems are 230V / 50 Hz and 12V DC, with an additional 110V / 60 Hz system installed in December 2022. Structural peace of mind comes with a Lagoon bulkhead reinforcement completed in October 2021.
Lagoon options at delivery
From day one, this yacht arrived exquisitely specified with the essential equipment and the upgraded comfort configuration. That package brought indirect lighting in the companionways, saloon, and cabins; the B&G Zeus 3 navigation system core; a FUSION RA70 stereo; a porthole in the galley; additional fresh water tanks; extra batteries augmenting the main bank; helm seat cushions and pulpit seats; a fridge; aft portholes in the cabins; battery controllers and additional chargers; deck and transom lights; a galley seawater pump; a dual‑mode deck wash for fresh or seawater; flag halyards on the spreaders; stainless davits for the dinghy; a fresh water dock inlet; and teak floors in the bathrooms. Special leather upholstery elevates the saloon, with all cushions trimmed in leather and additional stools (ottomans) for the navigation table and the starboard‑hull desk. Performance rigging for Code 0 and spinnaker includes a factory bowsprit and all deck hardware for blocks and lead guides so Code 0 and spinnaker sheets and guys run cleanly, plus stanchion brackets for the Code 0 furler lines. The square‑top mainsail option enlarges sail area and boosts speed, while a lazy bag with cover simplifies handling. Life at anchor and underway is eased by a cockpit drinks fridge, a full cushion set for cockpit, cabin‑top sun loungers, and forward seating, and a comprehensive upgrade to all‑electric winches—2 x Harken 60, 2 x Harken 50, and 1 x Harken 40—together with an electric dinghy winch for effortless short‑handed operation. The cockpit clears (side enclosures) transform the space into a weather‑safe retreat; combined with custom flybridge sides they create a protected environment ideal for crossings and night sailing when conditions deteriorate. An Onan 11 kVA generator delivers 230V across the boat and is indispensable for air conditioning and water‑making. Practical touches abound, from USB sockets in all cabins and an outboard engine bracket on the transom to an inverter for the main battery bank that supplies 230V away from the dock and when the generator is off (complementing the solar/electrical system). The Dessalator DUAL watermaker produces 100 ltr/hr on either 12V DC or 230V AC; on 230V the generator should be running, while solar power allows operation from the batteries without an engine. Ground tackle and control are refined with a remote windlass control and chain counter at the flybridge, plus a remote at the winch, giving precise chain‑out information. All bathrooms feature electric toilets for added comfort, and an additional stainless freezer expands cold storage. Climate is mastered by air conditioning and heating throughout, via 4 separate Cruisair reverse‑cycle units so each cabin can be independently cooled or heated; every unit offers a dehumidify mode that is invaluable aboard. Ventilation is further enhanced by 12V variable‑speed fans in all cabins and the saloon. Galley comforts include a dishwasher, a microwave oven operating on 230V, and a washing machine—originally a Candy washer/dryer, replaced in October 2021 by a higher‑capacity Haier washing machine. Sleep quality benefits from slats under all beds to improve air circulation, while thoughtful storage replaces the small sofa in the starboard hull with custom cabinetry of cupboards and drawers. Communications and situational awareness are thoroughly equipped: a second VHF handset at the flybridge, an AIS transceiver with antenna splitter that sends and receives AIS B and displays on both chartplotters, a B&G 4G radar with output to both plotters, a B&G autopilot remote and Wi‑Fi module, and a second B&G 12" chartplotter in the saloon. Soundtracks carry beautifully with BOSE speakers in the saloon, including a subwoofer discreetly tucked beneath the saloon couch; additional speakers in the cockpit and on the flybridge allow music throughout the boat, zoned into two areas via the stereo or from either chartplotter. For confident exploration in shoal waters, a forward‑looking sonar displays forward depth and obstacles right on the plotters. The package is completed by a full anchor, mooring, and fender set (with further non‑Lagoon upgrades detailed elsewhere), a teak floor in the cockpit, and the engine upgrade to 57 Hp.
Non-lagoon extras at delivery
Beyond the factory list, the first owner fitted thoughtful upgrades from day one. A masthead electronic TV antenna, with amplifier/splitter, feeds both the master cabin and saloon. The master cabin enjoys a flatscreen TV on a wall bracket with an additional sound bar. Communications were refined with a B&G V90 VHF in place of the factory V50; the V90’s central unit drives identical handsets at the navigation table and on the flybridge, and it incorporates an AIS receiver that can be selected on the chartplotters should the dedicated AIS transceiver ever be unavailable. The tender solution is premium: a HIGHFIELD CL380 Console dinghy with a 30 Hp 4‑stroke Yamaha outboard, complete with hydraulic steering, electric start, and trim—the largest size that fits a Lagoon 450F. For long‑term hull protection, ablative paint was set aside in favor of a COPPERCOAT system: five coats applied to form a copper sheath below the waterline, sanded and patched multiple times to extend life; spare COPPERCOAT patch remains aboard. The primary anchor is a MANTUS M1 at 48 kg (105 lb) renowned for rapid setting and holding in diverse seabeds; the original 25 kg Delta anchor is retained as a secondary with 10 m of 12 mm chain and 50 m of 1" line, and an aft anchor was also acquired. Shade and protection on deck were elevated with a hardtop bimini with sides and a sunshade, supplied and installed by DEDICATED MARINE INC. A 230V cockpit outlet, positioned above the starboard cockpit counter, has proved ideal for outdoor cooking, complemented by a SOVEREIGN ALPHA MARINE gas BBQ mounted on the port aft rail. That BBQ, from Australia’s famed SOVEREIGN, connects to a small LPG bottle before use and is installed on support studs welded to the rail and braced to the solar arch legs, creating a rugged mount out of the direct cockpit area so smoke is carried away—perfect for lively BBQ gatherings. Redundancy and range are enhanced by an additional VHF antenna at the masthead, allowing the AIS to run on a separate antenna or via the splitter, while also providing a backup. Safety at sea is backed by a VIKING life raft: originally an 8‑person unit, replaced in December 2020 with a VIKING 6‑person hard‑case model. Rounding out the communications suite is a STANDARD HORIZON portable VHF that is waterproof, floats, and serves as a dependable backup—ideal for crew going ashore when phone service is absent.

Purposeful long‑range cruising inspired a series of bespoke enhancements. The solar and electrical system was engineered in Gibraltar, with a stainless‑steel solar arch fabricated locally and professionally drawn diagrams documenting every addition to the electrical architecture. Safety and seakeeping were elevated by a comprehensive railing and lifeline extension: while the standard two lifelines on 600 mm stanchions match the class, this yacht now features a higher, more secure system designed and built by Pritchards’ Marine in Gibraltar. The original lifelines at 300 and 600 mm were retained, and a solid 35 mm top rail at 900 mm was added; new stanchions and bow pulpits were constructed and braced to withstand lateral loads, and the side “gates” were rebuilt so the top rail opens cleanly. The solid top rail ties into the factory solid rail structures at the aft end of each hull. Shelter and watchkeeping comfort advanced with an extension of the flybridge enclosure: the factory clears protected the forward and side sections, but the rear shade cloth offered no wind or rain protection and the sides did not reach the flybridge floor or shield the access. Working again with Pritchards’ Marine, custom extensions and additions now allow the flybridge to be fully enclosed. For offshore passages or when away from the boat, a Pritchards’ Marine‑designed dinghy cover protects the tender while hoisted on the davits. Handling big sails became effortless thanks to flexible compartments in the starboard bow locker: the large Code 0 and Wingaker are each stowed in a two‑section suspended soft compartment, simplifying deployment and recovery compared to wrestling individual sail bags; the integrated bag can be partially unhooked to maintain locker access. Finally, the stainless structure of the bimini was extended with handrails above the winches to aid boarding the flybridge and trimming, a longitudinal handrail along the ceiling to ease movement, a protective rail on the roof to prevent the boom from contacting the solar panels, and a horizontal bar connecting the short rail to starboard of the helm with the bimini structure.
Custom projects done in november 2022
The 2022 refit centered on autonomy, reliability, and comfort. A new battery architecture replaced and expanded the original 1300 Ah gel configuration: the house bank is now 1200 Ah of Relion lithium batteries in the port engine bay, while beneath the owner’s bed an AGM Lifeline bank totals 840 Ah. Both banks can be charged via solar, via the engines, or from each other through a Cyrix TCi. Oversight is effortless with a Cerbo GX Touch integrated into the lithium bank and solar arch array through a Victron Lynx Shunt, delivering clear visual power management and enabling remote monitoring. On deck, a new black trampoline replaces the stock white mesh that tends to sag, making forward‑deck work easier, and a new crossbeam—replacing one with prior cosmetic damage—was installed along with all associated attachments and fasteners to preclude any future deterioration of beam or hull. To welcome standard US appliances without dual‑hertz support, a 110V / 60 Hz electrical system was added, with 110V outlets fitted in both the galley and the aft cockpit. Hygiene and serviceability received upgrades with selectable fresh‑flush in all heads to keep the black‑water system pristine, testing of the solar array with replacement of 1 underperforming panel to secure off‑grid living, and the installation of 4 Aqualuma Series 6 underwater lights to turn night anchorages into a spectacle. The port aft cabin received a new toilet to resolve recurring macerator issues and general wear, and the port forward head benefited from a new macerator pump and joker valve to harmonize maintenance cycles. Climate performance improved with a new condensing pump for the starboard air‑conditioning unit, boosting efficiency. For watchkeeping confidence on overnight passages, the original Halo 4G radar was replaced with a Halo+ system. Finally, multiple running lines were renewed—where lines were not Dyneema or showed wear, they were replaced with Dyneema‑core rope throughout.
