With off-wind pace in the high teens, HAMBURGLAR is a cutting-edge Mark Mills high-performance racing sailing yacht in superb condition, fully outfitted and primed for grand-prix regatta and offshore action.

Construction

A lightweight fiberglass hull and deck with a PVC core are engineered around five ring frames for exceptional strength and rigidity. A carbon fiber keel capped with a lead bulb delivers powerful righting moment, paired with a carbon fiber rudder and stock for precise, direct tiller steering. The hull is finished in crisp white with a blue bootstripe and a black bottom, while the deck is white gelcoat with white nonskid and a gray rubberized traction sole in the cockpit. Carbon fiber stanchions are complemented by Dyneema lifelines for strength with minimal weight.

The rig is all business: a Southern Spars carbon fiber double-spreader mast matched to a carbon fiber boom, with stainless steel rod standing rigging and a mast step borne on a hydraulic tensioning ram for exacting tune. A carbon fiber bowsprit extends the downwind arsenal. Rig dimensions: I 51'7", J 14'7", P 52'3", E 16'9", ISP 57'8". A full racing sail inventory of approximately 15 sails is on hand. Deck hardware features Harken carbon and aluminum self-tailing winches and a coffee grinder positioned behind the helm.

Electrical

A 12-volt DC system is anchored by two Group 24 AGM batteries secured in plastic boxes and managed through a Blue Seas electrical distribution panel. Illumination and visibility are ensured by cabin lights and running lights.

Electronics

In the cockpit, Brooks & Gatehouse multi-function displays deliver critical performance data at a glance, complemented by four large instrument readouts mounted on the mast for clear visibility to the crew. A Horizon VHF radio with DSC provides reliable, compliant communications.

Mechanical

Propulsion comes from a Yanmar 3YM30 three-cylinder diesel engine driving a Kanzaki saildrive and a 2-blade Gori folding propeller, delivering efficient thrust under power and minimal drag while racing.

Miscellaneous equipment

Safety and anchoring needs are covered by a MOM 8A, a Fortress anchor, two fire extinguishers, and a throw rope, while dewatering is handled by both a cockpit bilge pump and a cabin bilge pump.
