Balandrau is an exceptional luxury motor yacht, commissioned from Fipa Italian Yachts and Maiora as the 31DP model in 2009. The yacht’s communications suite integrates Inmarsat F77 and Inmarsat C alongside Seatel Hellas Sat communications, VOIP and 2.0 Mbps Internet, DSC VHF and DSC SSB, an AVAYA PBX G30, a CISCO LAN network and CISCO WiFi network, and is fully GMDSS certified with UMTS and GSM support for seamless global reach. Engine room

Power and poise define the engine room, where the main engines are two MTU 2000 16V M93 units delivering 2,450 Bhp each, driving two Detra custom-made propellers with five blades for optimal thrust and efficiency. Electrical needs are met by two Onan 40 kW generators complemented by one Onan 22.5 kW unit, all configured to a 220V 50Hz power rating for consistent onboard energy. Comfort is assured by a Condaria air-conditioning system rated at 180,000 BTU, with an air supply that is external, fresh, and filtered to maintain superior interior quality. Precision handling is provided by a BCS bow thruster rated at 85 Bhp working in concert with a BCS stern thruster rated at 45 Bhp, while wet underwater exhausts, custom-built with a by-pass, ensure quiet, efficient discharge. Systems integrity is further enhanced by Hamman sewage treatment and Alpha Laval fuel purification, and overall steadiness both at anchor and underway is secured by Trac Zero Speed stabilizers.

Safety and fire fighting

A comprehensive suite of safety gear underscores total peace of mind, featuring two 12-person A3-area life rafts, thirty-two life jackets, and two life buoys, supported by a satellite EPIRB and a SART for rapid alerting and pinpoint homing, and complemented by one fast rescue boat ready for immediate deployment.

Fire protection is equally robust, anchored by a Salwico fire detection system and a permanent fire-fighting system, with portable extinguishers distributed throughout the yacht, as well as smoke detectors and temperature detectors providing vigilant, continuous monitoring across all key spaces.

Galley

The galley is outfitted with a premium suite of Gaggenau equipment for precise culinary performance. Cold storage is entrusted to Aluminox stainless-steel galley refrigerators built to US Public Authority standards, while a dedicated HACCP system safeguards food handling and ensures impeccable hygiene.
