Overview
2001 Malo 41/43
Maloose is an exceptional cruising yacht, ready to set sail on its next adventure. This vessel features a selection of premium sails designed by Carol Hasse in Port Townsend, Washington. The mainsail is equipped with three reefs and a user-friendly single-line reefing system for the first two. Its 120% headsail is ideal for leisurely cruising. Additionally, it includes a North Sail cruising asymmetrical and a rarely used blade sail for the inner forestay. For racing and light winds, a triradial cut 145 gennaker by LG Sails from San Diego is also available. Maloose is outfitted with a riding sail for anchoring, a sturdy windscreen, and an isolated backstay. With 7 Anderson winches (6 two-speed and one single-speed on the mast), managing the sails is effortless.
For power, Maloose is equipped with a 3.5 KW Nexgen generator, a Mastervolt Inverter/Charger (2000W), and two 80-watt solar panels complemented by a 160-watt Bluesky solar boost 2000. The onboard entertainment system features a Kenwood Bluetooth receiver with a Fusion Subwoofer and external cockpit speakers that deliver impressive sound quality. Additional conveniences include a stern anchor, a Raymarine RL80C chart plotter, a Raymarine autopilot, and an Espar interior heater. The yacht is powered by a 120 Amp alternator, along with a spare standard alternator. Maloose is well-prepared for cruising, complete with an array of spare parts such as filters, belts, an autopilot ram, a propeller, blocks, shackles, sheets, and new mooring lines.
The Malo 41/43, hailing from Sweden's esteemed Malo Yachts, exemplifies durability, performance, and comfort for family cruising. Primarily designed in-house with contributions from Mr. Hans Leander, it shares design elements with vessels from Halberg-Rassey. The hull features a traditional design with moderate overhangs and a graceful midsection. The Malo is moderately beamy, boasting a length-to-beam ratio (L/B) of 3.27. With a displacement of 23,100 pounds, it achieves a D/L (displacement-to-length ratio) of 243, categorizing it within the medium displacement range. Its sensible draft of 6 feet, 5 inches strikes an ideal balance between stability and versatility, making it a prime candidate for yacht sales in the current boat location. If you're looking to buy a yacht that combines elegance and functionality, Maloose is a remarkable choice.
