Overview
The Bree is an 86-foot Merritt enclosed flybridge sportfishing yacht that artfully unites the grace of a luxury motor yacht with the muscle of a world-class tournament battlewagon. Its fully enclosed bridge creates a serene refuge for owners and guests, allowing panoramic views and effortless conversation while remaining sheltered from sun, wind, and spray. In rough water, the ride stays remarkably calm and composed thanks to a Seakeeper gyrostabilizer, while efficient Caterpillar C32A power and a generous 3,300-gallon fuel capacity deliver impressive range without undue fuel burn. Built to chase blue marlin and sailfish on the grand stage, this custom sportfish is outfitted with next-generation electronics and high-performance gear, including Omni sonar, to sharpen the edge in any billfish arena.
The owners’ unwavering commitment to excellence shows in every corner, with fastidious care and exacting standards evident throughout. A thoughtful five-stateroom, five-head arrangement maximizes comfort and privacy, highlighted by a refined primary suite with a dual-sink head. The salon is anchored by an island-style bar that invites entertaining and easy meal prep, complemented by premium appliances, refined fixtures, and an oversized pantry for extended passages. Six Sub-Zero refrigeration units handle provisions with ease, while the cockpit adds two expansive freezers plus additional fridge/freezer combinations for serious offshore campaigns. Signature Merritt craftsmanship elevates the interior with rich joinery and a striking custom spiral staircase that sweeps up to the flybridge. At the helm, the bridge evokes a sleek command center, bristling with state-of-the-art systems and featuring two oversized companion seats beside the captain’s chair for supreme comfort underway; a drop-down TV adds another layer of onboard enjoyment. This convertible sportfish is equally at home as a bluewater cruiser or a dedicated offshore fishing machine.
The Bree is the fourth Merritt commissioned by these owners, and their pursuit of perfection resonates in every detail, from performance and systems to finish and fit. Rarely does a tournament-ready enclosed flybridge sportfisher of this pedigree and condition come to market—an exceptional opportunity to acquire one of the most impeccably maintained custom sportfishing yachts in the fleet.
