Overview
ANNA J is a distinguished OCEANCO superyacht, freshly refitted with a 4-meter stern extension, engine rebuilds, and upgraded stabilizers. The extension shapes a flexible aft zone ideal for a beach club or dive center. Her MTU mains show under 25 hours since a W5-Plus rebuild, and she is fully stabilized for serene passages. With completed five-year ABS survey, ANNA J represents outstanding value and scope for interior personalization.
Detailed Description
Overview
An experienced yacht owner acquired ANNA J, relocated her to Holland, and immediately commenced a deep, methodical refit. Mechanical and exterior works, a full paint, and a lengthening have now been completed. The four-meter extension, constructed by Dutch Shipyard Van Noorloos under the watchful eye of Naval Architects Van Dorrestejn Design and Class ABS, gives ANNA J a wonderfully balanced profile and creates an expansive aft area awaiting the new owner’s interpretation—be it a beach club or a dive center—with ample space to dine or dive. From the very tip of her proud and new communication mast to the bottom of her keel, every element has been painted, inspected, repaired, or replaced. The engine room now gleams, bristling with new and freshly serviced machinery, a striking transformation from the day she was purchased. The refit is further distinguished by four new Sea Gyro gyro stabilizers located within the extension to provide comfort at anchor, complemented by Naiad fin stabilizers underway; together they set the tone for the quality of this in-depth refit. Her MTU 16v396 TE 94 main engines received a W5+ overhaul and now have less than 25 hours since the rebuild. There remains room for personalization of the interior; the Galley would benefit from an upgrade and the crew area from a refresh. This pedigree OCEANCO Super Yacht, after the extensive rework, is now beautifully balanced in her profile, and the extension was deliberately designed so ANNA J comes in under 50m and 500GT. Fully stabilized by both fin and gyro for maximum comfort underway and at anchor, and having just completed her five-year ABS survey, she represents Dutch pedigree and arguably the best value on today’s market, with owners ready to listen to sensible offers.
Accommodations
ANNA J’s flexible layout unfolds around a large open plan, with the Owner’s stateroom positioned forward on the main deck and the entrance on the starboard side. This private retreat features a king size bed and a beautifully appointed ensuite with shower and bathroom, including a Jacuzzi and twin his and hers sinks, all finished in stunning marble.
Guest accommodation comprises two spacious VIP cabins with large double beds and an ensuite bathroom with a Jacuzzi; each is richly appointed with fine fabric-covered bulkheads, curtains, and fitted carpets. These two cabins can be combined to create one full beam VIP stateroom. Twin accommodations include two twin cabins, both with ensuite bathrooms, and on the bridge deck there is a sixth guest or staff ensuite double cabin.
For crew, there is one double Captain’s cabin with an ensuite bathroom and four bunk cabins, each with an ensuite bathroom.
Galley and laundry equipment
In the main galley, culinary preparation is supported by two Gaggenau fridges and two Gaggenau freezers, paired with two Miele ovens, one Miele ceramic hob, one Miele electric grill, and one Miele dishwasher, while ventilation and provisioning are streamlined by one Gaggenau air extractor fan and service lift. Dedicated laundry facilities include two professional Miele washing machines, two Miele dryers, one Iron Stirella Pro, and one Miele electronic roll press. On the sundeck, al fresco dining is enhanced by one grill. The main salon pantry is equally well appointed with one Miele dishwasher, one Miele fridge, one Miele freezer, one Gaggenau microwave oven, one Gaggenau coffee maker, one Gaggenau ice maker, and one Gaggenau ceramic hob.
Deck equipment
Effortless deck handling is ensured by a Muir Engineering anchor windlass delivering reliable holding power at anchor, while aft warping is managed by Muir Vertical Capstans VHS 5000 for precise berthing control. Tender and rescue logistics are supported by dedicated davits paired with one Motomar Type B passerelle, streamlining launch, retrieval, and boarding with confidence.
Entertainment equipment
An immersive entertainment suite features a Stereo/Hi‑Fi with seven CD players and six Sony Mini Hi‑Fi systems, all feeding a network of twelve TV sets in the accommodation areas. Global coverage is ensured by a Seatel satellite tracking system for TV, complemented by satellite TV through Echostar and Sky Digibox satellite TV receivers and decoders. For movie nights, nine DVD players are thoughtfully distributed throughout.
Engine room
Power in the engine room is delivered by two MTU 16V396TE94 main engines driving two five-bladed propellers, with electrical needs met by three John Deer 6068TF001 generator sets, each rated at 66 kW at 1,500 rpm and coupled to Northern Light M6414T alternators. For autonomy and control, the yacht features two HEM watermakers producing 8,000 litres per day, HYDROMAT HBT GF 6090 bow thrusters rated at 75 kW, four SEA GYROs, an Alfa Laval fuel treatment system, and three Marine Air MCW144K HMCP20K air-conditioning units. Generator hours SMOH are recorded as port 19, center 11, and starboard 13.
Main engine and generator hours updated July 2024: the starboard main engine shows 4914 hours and was rebuilt at 4890, while the port main engine shows 4918 hours and was rebuilt at 4890. Since W5+, engine hours stand at port 28 and starboard 24. Generator hours since new engine are starboard 18, center 27, and port 48.
Communication and navigational equipment
A comprehensive suite of communication and navigation systems equips the yacht, beginning with radio telephony via one HF SSB radio system, three fixed VHF stations fitted at the main and flybridge steering positions, and eight ICOM VHF portable units. Satellite communications are delivered by one INMARSAT Thrane & Thrane TT3606G, one Mini M and one Fleet 55 by Thrane & Thrane, together with one VSAT for Internet connectivity. Precision control and heading are provided by one C Plath Navipilot V Gyro Navigator, a Riviera magnetic compass, and one G Plath gyro-stabilised compass. Positioning and plotting are handled by one Simrad multisync plotter, one Simrad GN33 chart plotter, and one Furuno GP32. Long- and mid-range target tracking comes from one Furuno ARPA radar with a 92 nm range and one Simrad RA 54 radar with a 64 nm range. For weather and safety information there is one Furuno NX500 NAVTEX, while speed logging and fish finding are managed by the Furuno FCV 663, and wind speed and direction are monitored by two B&G Hydra 2 with depth meter function.
Safety, security and firefighting equipment
Safety is assured with thirty-two life jackets, complemented by two Viking Life Saving sixteen-man units and one Viking Life Saving eight-man unit. The yacht’s firefighting capability is comprehensive, featuring five 45 kg CO2 cylinders, seven 6 kg and seventeen 2 kg dry powder extinguishers within the accommodation, four 5 kg and two 1 kg CO2 extinguishers in the engine room, two 6 kg foam units, and two 1 kg halon units. Security is enhanced by a Panasonic CCTV system.
Updates/refits - July 2024
ANNA J has just completed her five-year ABS Class Survey. The owners will listen to all sensible offers and are highly motivated to achieve a sale before the end of the season. The prolonged refit still requires the galley and crew area to be upgraded, while mechanically every system has been serviced, rebuilt, or replaced. She has been sympathetically extended and fully painted, the heavy lift has been completed, and now is the ideal moment for a new owner to imprint personal style on the interior. ANNA J represents the best value in this class and an outstanding opportunity.
