Detailed Description
Manufacturer provided description
The Prestige experience begins at 42 feet with the Prestige 420. Spacious and bright, enjoyable and high‑performance, the 420 embodies the brand’s core values and delivers remarkable quality of life aboard. Bold, elegant lines by Garroni are instantly recognizable. A V‑Drive propulsion system centralizes mass for ideal balance, yielding confident, quiet, and superbly efficient cruising. Power choices let you tailor performance to your style, with twin 380 hp or twin 425 hp installations. Dockside and at speed, the integrated joystick working in concert with a variable bow thruster brings fingertip handling and precise control. Inside, ingenuity meets refinement: thoughtful layouts, high‑end finishes, and carefully selected materials create a harmonious, welcoming atmosphere worthy of a much larger yacht.

Standard equipment
Upholstery and woodwork set a refined tone: exterior upholstery Glacier pairs with interior upholstery Marlin Weiss, while the interior woodwork is finished in Walnut for warmth and depth.
On deck, a stainless steel stemhead fitting with anchor roller teams with an anchor stop and an electric windlass with wired remote in the anchor locker (12V). The anchor locker includes dedicated space for fender storage, and line handling is simplified by six stainless steel cleats, complemented by stainless steel handrails and rail. A large storage compartment with dual access from the cockpit and the bathing platform adds practical versatility.
The bathing platform is designed for easy water access, featuring a hot‑and‑cold shower and a stainless steel bathing ladder.
In the cockpit, an L‑shaped seating area enjoys immediate access to the flybridge via a stainless steel ladder, while a gas‑strut‑assisted hatch opens to the engine room. A transom safety gate adds peace of mind, two marine stereo speakers bring soundtrack to sea breezes, and overhead LED lighting bathes the space in a welcoming glow.
The flybridge offers a helm console with engine throttles, compass, and a storage compartment, a dedicated helm seat, stainless steel guard rails, a Perspex windscreen, a comfortable seating area with table, a sunpad with adjustable backrests, and two marine stereo speakers.
At the interior helm station, the helm console includes engine throttles, full engine instrumentation, a compass, and cup holders, matched to a helm seat with a pivoting backrest. Windscreen wipers with washers and an intermittent setting, a windscreen demister, USB plugs, and a horn round out this confident command post.
The saloon is an inviting haven with U‑shaped sofa seating, a varnished table on a stainless steel base, a second sofa, side‑window pleated blinds, and handrails wrapped in hand‑stitched Foglizzo leather. Fortezza flooring runs seamlessly through the main deck. Entertainment is provided by a radio/CD/MP3 with Bluetooth feeding two stereo speakers.
The galley is thoughtfully appointed with a stainless steel sink, a mixing tap, a two‑burner gas cooktop, a dual‑voltage fridge (113 L / 30 US gal) and a dual‑voltage freezer (17 L / 4 US gal), a waste bin, ample storage drawers and cupboards, and a wrap‑around configuration with a cockpit bar, all set on Fortezza flooring.
In the master stateroom, a double bed (200 cm x 165 cm / 6’6’’ x 5’5’’) is accompanied by two reading lamps, bedside tables with storage, a large closet with shelving, a storage cabinet, and a vanity desk with mirror. Panoramic side windows with blinds, sheers, and opening ports flood the space with light. Comfort touches include a removable carpet set and both AC and USB plugs. The en suite bathroom features a solid countertop and washbasin, a soap dispenser and toothbrush holder, a separate shower compartment, freshwater electric toilets, an AC plug, and an opening port.
The VIP stateroom mirrors the sense of calm with a double bed (200 cm x 165 cm / 6’6’’ x 5’5’’), two reading lamps, a large closet with shelving, panoramic side windows with blinds, sheers, and opening ports, an opening deck hatch with shade and insect screen, a removable carpet set, and AC and USB plugs.
Propulsion is entrusted to a twin‑engine V‑Drive system with electronic engine controls and throttles at each helm, bronze seawater strainers, and a forced‑air ventilation system for the engine room.
The electrical system comprises a 12V engine battery bank (200 A/h), a 12V house battery bank (230 A/h), a battery bank crossover switch at the helm, centralized distribution and breaker boxes for AC and DC systems, an AC shore‑power system, a 40 A / 12 V battery charger, LED interior and exterior lighting, and AC plugs in each cabin as well as in the galley and saloon.
Fuel is carried in two aluminum tanks with interconnection valves (1170 L / 309 US gal), with fuel fills to port and starboard and remote shut‑off valves located in the aft cabin.
The water system includes freshwater tanks (330 L / 87 US gal plus an optional 95 L / 25 US gal), a hot‑water heater (40 L / 11 US gal), a freshwater pressure pump, a grey‑water sump pump with automatic discharge, a holding tank (120 L / 32 US gal) with vent filters, overboard discharge pumps for the holding tanks with macerator function and deck pump‑out, two automatic bilge pumps with high‑water alarm, and a manual bilge pump.
Safety and build integrity are paramount, with fire extinguishers in the engine room featuring a manual pull handle (Novec 1230). Construction is in hand‑laid GRP for both hull and deck, the latter with counter molding, protected by an isophthalic gelcoat and an osmosis barrier.
Additional standard equipment includes the User and Owner’s manuals, a Captain’s briefcase with a complete set of manuals, and an eco cleaning kit. North American specifications elevate comfort with chilled‑water air conditioning incorporating reverse‑cycle heating (32,000 BTU), a generator with underwater silent exhaust (7.5 kW), an AGM Gel batteries bank upgrade, a galvanic isolator, and a cathodic bonding system with dedicated anodes.
