Overview
1982 33' Twin‑Diesel Motor Yacht
A classic with poise and purpose, this 33-foot 1982 build marries timeless lines with the practical comforts today’s cruisers expect. Currently lying in the United States, she presents as a capable and inviting platform for weekend retreats, relaxed coastal passages, and elegant harbor evenings.
Built on sturdy fiberglass composite with a matching fiberglass deck, the hull delivers a reassuring, quiet ride and low-maintenance ownership. Her footprint feels ideally balanced—large enough for gracious entertaining and extended cruising, yet nimble and manageable for couples or solo skippers.
Power comes from twin Yanmar diesels, celebrated worldwide for reliability, efficiency, and smooth operation. Twin-screw confidence makes close-quarters handling intuitive, while the engines’ frugal burn rewards longer itineraries and unhurried days on the water. The result is a yacht that’s as economical to run as she is satisfying to helm.
On deck, the generous cockpit/aft deck invites multiple moods—morning coffee at anchor, an al fresco lunch, or sunset toasts—framed by safe, practical side decks and confident footing under way. The low-profile superstructure and classic sheer give her a clean, enduring profile that never goes out of style.
Step inside to a bright, welcoming salon enhanced by large windows and warm wood accents that honor her vintage. The layout is thoughtfully arranged for easy living, with a comfortable seating area for conversation or dining, a well-proportioned galley with ample storage and workspace, and restful accommodations for overnighting. A private head provides the comfort and discretion needed for extended weekends or spontaneous getaways, keeping life aboard effortless and refined.
This 33-footer speaks to owners who cherish authenticity, sensible design, and the quiet assurance of diesel power. She is equally at home as a chic weekender, a coastal cruiser with honest seakeeping, or a tasteful liveaboard with a small footprint and big-yacht sensibility. Combining enduring craftsmanship with modern dependability, she offers the rare satisfaction of owning a classic that still feels wonderfully current.
If your vision includes unhurried passages, warm company, and a yacht that makes every harbor feel like home, this 1982 33' twin‑diesel is ready to begin the next chapter.

Detailed Description
Detail
Tramuntana is a salty, sturdy cruising sloop with the kind of honest craftsmanship that stops dockside conversations. Forward, a graceful teak bowsprit carries dual anchor roller chocks, while teak hatches, handrails, caprails, coamings, cockpit seats, and classic cockpit grates lend a warm, seakindly presence. Her hull is guarded by a generous rub rail with stainless-steel rubbing strakes, and the details are properly seamanlike: bronze rudder hinges, water and fuel fillers, chain pipe, hawse pipes, cleats, and well-executed thru-hull fittings.
Lovingly upgraded by long-time owners, she is the compact world-cruiser so many sailors wait for—carefully refit, intelligently improved, and spared no expense. She is the ideal size for a cruising couple or a confident singlehander, yet offers ample berths for guests; at sea she delivers the reassuring feel of a bigger yacht while remaining docile and easily managed by one. With her rich exterior woodwork, she’s a genuine head-turner—truly a must-see.
Her upgrades speak to thoughtful ownership: a Yanmar 2GM20F 20 hp diesel offers excellent fuel economy, low hours, and annual service by List Marine, Sausalito. A recent haul-out received two coats of Trinidad Pro bottom paint, and Prop-Speed was applied to the feathering propeller. The tender is a Sam L. Morse “Cherub,” a beautiful lapstrake-design fiberglass sailing/rowing dinghy with a gunnel guard that stows on deck under the boom in solid teak chocks. Safety gear includes a 2017 Revere Offshore Commander four-person liferaft (service due) complemented by all-new fire extinguishers. Ground tackle is robust, with 50" of 5/16" HT anchor chain in excellent condition plus 200" of 5/8" nylon three-strand and a 35# Rocna anchor—there is far more aboard than can be captured here.
Tramuntana’s electronics package is equally seagoing and complete, including GPS, Radar, VHF, TriData with Wind, Autopilot, Solar, and a Depthfinder. She is a wonderful boat ready for new adventures, offered at $39,500. Start your cruising adventure today. Exclusively offered by Ishkeesh Marine Services—discover this and other great boats with us.
