Overview

UNCLE JACK is hull No. 62 from the legendary 37' Rybovich dayboat line, a custom sportfish icon. She has prowled Atlantic waters for years with distinction, and few sisters present as finely. This is a rare chance to acquire a heritage, bluewater gamefishing dayboat from the pioneer of modern sportfishing yachts. Topside paint renewed in 2021. Cockpit brightwork stripped, revarnished, and clear-coated in March 2023. Tournament-ready offshore express elegance.

Detailed Description

Walkthrough

Below decks, UNCLE JACK feels remarkably open, with space used to perfection and every amenity and stowage need anticipated throughout. A classic Rybovich dayboat, she presents a Matterhorn white painted interior elegantly framed by varnished mahogany. Forward, a generous V-berth offers drawers and additional storage beneath. To port, the galley provides abundant lockers both above and below its timeless monel metal countertop, complemented by a top-load refrigerator/freezer, a built-in microwave, and a sink. To starboard, the head is notably spacious and includes a full stand-up shower, a vanity with sink and storage below, mirrored surfaces, and a port light. Up top, the flybridge features bench seats to port and starboard with storage beneath, while the center console and helm pod deliver superb sightlines with electronics within easy reach of the helmsman. Aft, the cockpit is expansive, shaded by a gracious overhang and appointed with a large tuna door, rod holders, and ample room for her signature Rybovich fighting chair. A dedicated cockpit helm station provides full gauges, controls, and electronics, with tackle drawers to starboard, a deep chest freezer to port, and comfortable mezzanine seating.

Galley

Purpose-built for cruising and fishing alike, the portside galley combines timeless materials with practical capacity. Outboard storage cabinets with sliding doors span the countertop, while the ship’s AC/DC distribution service panel—refit in 2004—resides within easy reach. A built-in microwave with additional storage above complements the top-load freezer/refrigerator. The monel metal sink and countertops are durable and elegant, with more storage below the sink. Natural light and ventilation are enhanced by 2 hull port lights, and bright overhead lighting further illuminates the space. Teak and ash flooring adds warmth underfoot. Clever use of space continues with storage beneath the lift-up steps leading below decks and hanging lockers both port and starboard at the forward end of the galley.

V-berth

The forward V-berth is thoughtfully arranged for comfort and stowage. To port, the upper berth includes 3 large drawers and cabinet storage beneath, while to starboard the lower berth offers a dedicated storage cabinet below. Overhead lighting and 2 reading lamps provide ample illumination, and an overhead hatch brings in fresh air and sky views. The teak-and-holly sole sets a classic tone, supported by efficient air conditioning. Hull port lights add natural light, and an access hatch to the anchor locker ensures practical utility underway.

Head

Spacious and bright, the head features a full stand-up shower for true home-style comfort. The aft bulkhead is mirrored to enhance the sense of space, and a vanity with sink provides storage below for toiletries and linens. A medicine cabinet to starboard organizes essentials, while a port light and exhaust blowers manage ventilation.

Deck & hull equipment

On deck, fine craftsmanship meets purposeful features. Honduran mahogany toe rails with stainless chafe strips set a luxurious tone, complemented by a custom Rybovich short bow rail and a handsome teak transom. Spray rails and flush-mount trim tabs enhance performance and dryness under way, while mahogany cap rails underscore the yacht’s pedigree. Dripless shaft logs and underwater lights speak to both reliability and style. The hull gleams in Matterhorn white paint, punctuated by port lights set into the hull sides.

Electronics

Command and control are intuitive and comprehensive. At the helm, a Furuno NavNet 3D GPS/Plotter 12" MFD anchors the suite, paired with Furuno radar and sounder black boxes for precise target and bottom definition. In the cockpit, a Furuno NavNet 3D 8" MFD keeps the crew informed. A Furuno autopilot, Furuno VHF, and Furuno RD30 integrate seamlessly, while a Ritchie compass provides timeless reliability. An Icom VHF M504 adds robust communications redundancy.

Electrical system

Robust and cruise-ready, the electrical system spans 110/220V AC and 12V DC. Ship’s power is supported by a Phazor 6 kW generator showing approximately 1600 hours, with shore power via a 50-amp inlet. Battery health is managed by a dedicated charger and battery On/Off switches with a parallel switch, ensuring confident starts and balanced loads. Underwater lights complete the night-time ambiance.

Engine room

Performance is delivered by two CAT 3116 engines at 350 HP each, installed in 1994 and currently showing 3200 hours. Electronic engine controls and hydraulic steering provide precise response, while Racor 500 fuel filters and an Algae-X fuel conditioning system FPS-500 safeguard fuel quality. A Fireboy fire system enhances safety, and an oil change system simplifies maintenance. Mechanical reliability is furthered by a stainless hot water heater, dripless shaft seals, and a fuel tank management manifold system. Power needs are covered by a Phazor 6 kW generator with approximately 1600 hours, supported by battery selector switches, a dedicated battery box, and a battery charger.

Fishing equipment

Purpose-built for serious anglers, the cockpit carries a Rybovich fighting chair and Rupp double spreader outriggers to expand your spread. Two in-deck live wells keep bait lively, supported by a portside chest freezer and comfortable mezzanine seating to port. The cockpit helm to starboard places the skipper in the action.

Flybridge

The flybridge is a command center refined by Rybovich. A Rybovich helm chair faces a sculpted helm pod with full instrumentation and electronic single-lever controls, framed by bench seats to port and starboard. Hydraulic steering and a Ritchie compass provide classic confidence. Overhead, a custom Rybovich hardtop integrates red and white lighting, while 4 rod holders line the aft bridge rail. A three-sided enclosure with U-zip panel and a full bridge cover protect the area at rest, and a kite reel outlet adds tactical versatility.

Cockpit

Crafted for action and comfort, the cockpit features a teak deck and covering boards renewed in 2006, with 6 flush-mount rod holders and a Rybovich teak fighting chair anchoring the arena. Systems include a cockpit freezer, fresh and saltwater washdowns, and a starboard-side helm with full gauges and controls. An accessory electrical panel sits to starboard of the helm, complemented by a Furuno NavNet 3D 8" display. Two in-deck live bait wells and lazarette access keep operations smooth, while a 50-amp shore cord inlet streamlines power. Practical details abound, including 3 in-deck fittings to dip fuel tanks, 5 tackle storage drawers to starboard, and a robust tuna door. Protection and flexibility come from a drop-down canvas with clear panels and a center roll-up section, a dedicated cockpit cover, and clear wing curtains to port and starboard.

The following items are excluded from the sale: name, tackle, and owners personal effects.
