Overview
FIFTY SHADES is now on the market and can be regarded as one of the most exquisitely outfitted Sanlorenzo SL106 motor yachts available. In 2022, the current owner invested over $500,000 to elevate an already superb superyacht into something truly distinctive. Working with interior designer Cullen Moser, who also styled their previous luxury yacht, every fabric and soft furnishing was replaced, introducing a vibrant, artful palette unseen on any other SL106. Custom artwork reinforces this theme throughout the interior. With a coveted on-deck master and four additional guest suites, each with ensuite, FIFTY SHADES is perfectly suited for family cruising or premium charter. A generous tender garage aft houses a 2020 Williams jet tender, a jet ski, and multiple watersports toys, while the hydraulic swim platform ensures effortless access to the sea on this planing-hull, flybridge yacht.
She has just completed her 2,000-hour service on MTU machinery, with extended warranty coverage through November 2025. The MTU 16V2000 engines deliver a confident 20–22-knot cruise and push beyond 29 knots at top speed, highlighting the SL106’s lively performance. Meticulous mechanical care extends throughout the engineering spaces, with extensive refurbishment and replacement of systems and components to keep the yacht in peak condition.
FIFTY SHADES stands among the finest five-stateroom flybridge superyachts on the market and truly rewards an in-person inspection. Whether envisioned as a private luxury yacht for bluewater adventures or a standout charter yacht for Mediterranean cruising, this Sanlorenzo SL106 is a rare yacht for sale that encapsulates modern yachting at its most elegant.
Detailed Description
Fifty shades - Sanlorenzo SL106
FIFTY SHADES is now available and presents as the most beautifully specified and meticulously upgraded Sanlorenzo SL106 of her class. In 2022, the current owner invested over $500,000 to elevate an already finely kept yacht into something truly exceptional, entrusting interior designer Cullen Moser—who also shaped their previous yacht—to reimagine every surface. All upholstery and fabrics were replaced to create a vivid, cohesive palette unique among SL106s, while custom-commissioned artwork echoes this theme throughout the interior. The on-deck master is complemented by four additional guest staterooms, each with its own ensuite, making FIFTY SHADES an ideal platform for large families and a compelling charter prospect. Aft, the garage carries a 2020 Williams jet tender, a jet ski, and an array of watersports toys, while the hydraulic swim platform ensures effortless access to the sea.
Her MTU 16V2000 engines have just completed their 2000-hour service and are covered by an extended warranty until November 2025, delivering a confident 20–22-knot cruise and a top speed exceeding 29 knots. The same precision and care extend to the engineering spaces, where extensive reconditioning and replacements have been carried out across systems and components to preserve her in outstanding mechanical condition. As one of the finest five-stateroom yachts available, FIFTY SHADES rewards an in-person viewing to fully appreciate the craftsmanship, upgrades, and sheer allure that set her apart.

Together, these works deliver a yacht that feels freshly commissioned, with systems renewed, cosmetics uplifted, and reliability purposefully reinforced.
Interior features
The interior invites with a salon terrace served by an electro-hydraulic opening system and an additional set of enlarged hull-side windows—two port and two starboard—bringing the total to eight including the standard glazing, to flood the main deck with natural light. A floating stainless-steel staircase descends to the lower deck, while subtle indirect LED lighting glows behind drapery in the master, VIP, and guest staterooms. Master, VIP, and guest bedframes as well as desktops are elegantly wrapped in leather, and a convertible sliding berth system in a guest cabin allows effortless switching between twin and double layouts. In the VIP and guest staterooms, televisions are mounted discreetly behind mirrored panels with chrome frames that echo the detailing of the vanity niches. There are five overhead rain showers—one in the master and one in each VIP/guest ensuite—and six richly crafted teak-marble walls in lieu of standard lacquer across the master water closet and shower, as well as the VIP and guest showers. A comprehensive interior refresh in 2022 brought upgraded décor, furnishings, fixtures, lighting, and artwork, and an additional safe has been fitted in the captain’s cabin for peace of mind.
Exterior features
On deck, a disappearing stern shower and a stainless-steel column shower on the flybridge complement the alfresco living, while the flybridge’s cantilevered louvered hardtop opens to dial in the perfect balance of sun and shade. Both the bow and aft tables rise and lower electrically, with a pop-up TV on the flybridge for open-air cinema, and a teak flybridge deck underfoot. In 2022, an aft flybridge awning and a bow seating area awning were added, each a sail-cover sunshade system with removable stainless-steel stanchions. The bow seating area also benefits from a manual hi-low table that converts to a sunbed using the included cushion filler panel. A pair of electric hi-low tables on the aft deck can be combined into one generous dining surface, and a custom teak cabinet on the flybridge was crafted to house accessories with style. Six SEA VISION LED underwater lights, installed in May 2022, underscore her silhouette after dark, while custom furniture new in 2022 and a dedicated launching and recovery system for a jet ski or wave runner in the garage complete a remarkably versatile outdoor package.
Engine room & mechanical
Beneath the surface, redundant and upgraded systems safeguard performance and serviceability. The generators breathe through double Racor filters, while thru-hulls are fitted with ball valves—retaining gate valves specifically for the engine cooling exhausts. An engine oil change system with a manual pump is installed, later enhanced by an electric pump as noted among the options, and the dryer vents overboard rather than recirculating. Freshwater independence is assured by a Sea Recovery watermaker rated at 1,800 gallons per day, and further reinforced by a PARKER Aqua Whisper PRO watermaker installed in 2022 producing 75 gph, with purity perfected by a Spot Zero ZTC II unit added in 2022. Reliability is further supported by additional grey water and black water pumps installed in bypass, and safety is underwritten by an FM200 fire suppression system approved by the USCG.
Air conditioning system
Designed for the tropics, the chilled-water air conditioning plant employs twin chillers delivering 240,000 BTU, with upgraded insulation on the chilled-water piping and all condensate draining overboard. Chiller plant coils were replaced in April 2022, chiller isolation valves in April 2023, and the forward chiller condenser in April 2022. Raw water pump number 1 was replaced in October 2022 and pump number 2 rebuilt the same month. Inlet circulation water valves were renewed in August 2023, and all air handler fans were cleaned in May 2023, preserving quiet, efficient cooling throughout.
Electrical system
Power is expertly managed by a 127/220 V electrical architecture with two shore-power connections at 220 V AC, 100 A, three-phase, 60 Hz. Ship’s supply is anchored by two 55 kW generators—one of which underwent a complete overhaul in July 2023 and was zeroed—while a fail-safe galvanic isolator protects during dry dock. A 12 V/25 A charger supports generator batteries, and aft Glendinning Cablemasters provide twin CM8 units each with a 30 m (98') cable. GFCI protection is distributed in the technical room, bathrooms, galley, and exterior, with waterproof housings in the engine room and lazarette, and isolation transformers were specified prior to the seamless-conversion upgrade. Double-gang 110 V 60 Hz USA/EU sockets add versatility, and a dedicated 24 V master switch at the pilothouse powers the navigation electronics.
Options & upgrades
Her electrical backbone is modernized by an ASEA frequency converter delivering seamless transfer between 220 V/110 V and 50 Hz/60 Hz, allowing removal of isolation transformers while maintaining pristine power. In the engine room, the oil-change system is upgraded with an electric pump in lieu of a manual unit (dirty oil storage tank excluded). Manoeuvrability is exceptional thanks to ABT hydraulic bow and stern thrusters, while security is heightened by a five-camera CCTV IP system—two fixed cameras in the cockpit and three in the engine room—complete with DVR, a dedicated monitor, crew mess TV monitoring, an additional full-function touchscreen in the crew mess, and remote cellular alerting. Satellite and communications are ready with KVH HD7 SAT TV and predisposition for KVH SAT Phone, V7, or V3. Navigation is elevated by the Raymarine DIAMOND package in place of the standard SILVER suite, and low-light confidence comes from a FLIR thermal camera for night vision. Entertainment is refined by an upgraded audio/visual package with iPad-based lighting control for exterior spaces, the main deck, and pilothouse, while retaining tactile button switches for intuitive redundancy.
Appliances
Everyday luxury is underpinned by professional-grade appliances, including a Miele PW6065 washing machine and a Miele PT7136 dryer, a Sub-Zero 24" wine cooler, and an ICB 424G/O Kenyon electric BBQ stationed on the flybridge for effortless open-air dining. In the crew dinette, two Frigonautica C160C stainless-steel freezers provide generous cold storage that keeps provisioning crisp and organized for extended cruising.
