Detailed Description

Description

Sanlorenzo’s Made-to-Measure credo defines this SD112, a yacht whose appeal lies not in generic features but in the bespoke vision expressed throughout. Positioned between the SD92 and the SD122—recently extended to 126 feet—this model sits on a dedicated hull rather than a stretched or shortened mold, a distinction evident in her poise, efficiency, and aesthetic harmony.

Francesco Paszkowski drew a tri-deck profile that is as seaworthy as it is captivating, with a forward main-deck Owner’s suite enjoying a sweeping panoramic outlook. Tanganyika wood, selected by Sanlorenzo’s design team led by Sergio Buttiglieri, sets a warm, contemporary tone that flows through the yacht.

The yacht’s single, architect owner brought a portfolio of ideas that inspired thoughtful refinements to the base layout. In lieu of the SD series’ typical curved afterdeck doors, fully opening sliding doors were moved closer to the salon to expand deck space and create room for a concealed bar and a large television, forming an open-air salon extension beneath a chic planked overhang. Inside, the owner and interior designer Marty Lowe curated pieces from Italy’s finest—Edra, Minotti, and Paola Lenti—set against a luminous palette of whites and Penelope Oggi leathers that celebrate the Tanganyika joinery. There is no fixed dining table; instead, a stylish table can be positioned between two white crosswise couches to transform the space for elegant meals.

Edra’s ingenious couches use wedge-shaped backrests so guests can face forward toward a wall-mounted 65-inch television—creating a comfortable two-row media lounge—or turn aft toward the stern. The wedges can also be set sideways to enjoy the opening terraces on each side, a testament to Sanlorenzo’s adaptable, guest-centric layouts.

The Owner’s suite occupies the forward main deck, entered through a dressing area that evokes a Loro Piana boutique, with stitched suede-clad drawers and refined pull tabs, accented by an Hermès freestanding hat rack. The master head is paneled entirely in soapstone, including the shower, with a matching soapstone vanity. Notable elements include wraparound windows providing a 180-degree view forward and abeam; discreet stainless-steel gates on each side deck behind the stateroom windows for privacy and to alert the crew; a sculptural run of planking behind the forward settee that recalls the curve of a ship’s hull; and a pantograph door to the side deck granting private access to a bow seating area with its own table.

Below, four en-suite guest cabins accommodate with grace: mirror-image queen staterooms aft and a pair of twin cabins with Pullmans forward, a configuration ideal for larger families with children. A curved stairwell in the port entry foyer serves both the lower accommodations and the upper-deck sky lounge, appearing at first as a striking composition of polished stainless steel and glass set against a three-deck bulkhead of soapstone bricks that add tactile depth. In everyday use it reveals another bespoke decision: there are no handrails, an owner-specific choice that Sanlorenzo can readily adjust with handrails on future builds as desired.

The pilothouse is set three steps below the sky lounge and separated by a bulkhead to reduce distractions. The Captain benefits from a proper office to port with desk, files, and a swivel chair, while a settee to starboard encourages relaxed watchkeeping. Navigation is by Simrad in a three-monitor package, and CMC electric zero-speed stabilizers were selected to eliminate hydraulic piping throughout the yacht.

The sky lounge invites lingering with nubby Angiuoni fabrics and a planked-wood overhead that reaffirms the yacht’s nautical soul. A partially covered afterdeck provides an alfresco dining table and easy access to the flybridge. One of the yacht’s signature elements, a graceful faux funnel, offers a handsome, classically styled mount for the electronics. Just forward sits a spa embraced by seating and sun pads, while the open after expanse welcomes chaises and deep lounges for unhurried afternoons.

For those who dine by the horizon, the SD112’s upper-deck aft dining area delivers uninterrupted views in every direction.

Power comes from a pair of 1450 horsepower Caterpillar C32s, detuned from one thousand six hundred horsepower to reduce maximum engine speed from 2350 to 2150 rpm for longevity and relaxed running. Performance remains spirited, with a top speed around seventeen knots and an extended cruising range of two thousand seven hundred fifty nautical miles at eleven knots, inviting passagemaking with confidence.

Construction is superlative, from flawless joinerwork and hand-stitched leathers that speak fluent Italian craftsmanship to metalwork executed with jewel-like precision.

Key features

With a single private owner and architect-designed pedigree, this yacht was built to both EU and US specifications and showcases five en-suite staterooms, including a main-deck master, all executed to the highest specification and finish with timeless design and décor. Comfort is assured by new-generation electric fin zero-speed stabilizers, the salon expands over the water with two fold-down balconies, and a private sundeck with jacuzzi invites secluded relaxation, while a berth is available to complete this compelling opportunity.

Main characteristics

Crafted by Sanlorenzo SpA in Italy, the Sanlorenzo SD 112 is a motor yacht conceived as a tri-deck superyacht with a semi-displacement configuration. Naval architecture is by Sanlorenzo, with exterior styling by Francesco Paszkowski and interiors by Sanlorenzo’s Sergio Buttiglieri design team. Constructed in GRP for both hull and superstructure and finished with teak decks, she measures 34.10 m (111 ft 9 in) overall, with a length at waterline of 29.60 m (97 ft 2 in), a beam of 7.66 m (25 ft 2 in), and a draft of 2.00 m (6 ft 6 in). Her displacement is 170,000 Kgs (380,800 Lbs). Registered under the Marshall Islands flag, she is currently lying in Italy.

Propulsion

This twin-screw diesel propulsion package is powered by two Caterpillar C32 ACERT engines, each rated at 1,450 hp (1,081 kW), with approximately 4,500 hours as of July 2026. Power is transmitted through two ZF 3311 gearboxes with a four-to-one reduction ratio to direct-shaft drives in AQUAMET 17, turning five-blade NiBrAl Class S propellers and working against AISI 316 steel rudders for precise, durable control. The result is an effortless 11-knot cruising speed, a top speed of 17 knots, and an approximate cruising range of 2,750 nautical miles.

Tankage

Engineered for long-range independence, the yacht carries a commanding fuel capacity of 25,000 l (6,604 USG), complemented by generous fresh water reserves of 2,000 l (528 USG). Waste management is equally robust, with a dedicated black and grey water tank offering 4,000 l (1,056 USG) of capacity to keep operations clean and efficient on extended voyages.

Accommodation

Five en-suite staterooms welcome up to twelve guests, comprising a master suite with a double bed on the main deck, two VIP double staterooms, and two twin guest cabins, each with an additional Pullman bed. Convenience is assured with seven guest bathrooms, including day-heads on the main deck and upper deck. The crew quarters accommodate seven persons in four cabins, supported by three crew bathrooms and a dedicated crew mess. Comfort throughout is enhanced by an independent AC controls system in every area, while interiors are finished in satin Tanganyika wood and leather panels, complemented by fine stones.

Sundeck

Expansive teak sunbeds set the tone for open-air relaxation, while a bubbling Jacuzzi promises indulgent downtime beneath the sky. A neatly integrated wet bar with fridge, ice maker, and sink keeps refreshments effortless. Above, a sleek mast supports the antenna and digital data indicator, with Sat TV KWHM9 and an empty radome M0 enhancing the platform for entertainment and future upgrades. Long-range awareness comes via a SIMRAD radar with a 72-mile antenna, complemented by VHF and GPS, and a commanding search light that confidently illuminates the night.

Second control station on sundeck

From the second control station on the sundeck, take command via two CAT electronic engine displays paired with two CAT electronic engine controls, complemented by a SIMRAD 17" monitor and SIMRAD OP40 keyboard. Dedicated navigation data is delivered through the SIMRAD Wind station, while clear communications are supported by the SIMRAD RS82 VHDF. Precision handling comes from the SIMRAD AP70 Autopilot with integrated tridata monitor and the responsive SIMRAD QS80 Autopilot joystick. For confident maneuvering after dusk, the JABSCO search light control is at your fingertips, and fine low-speed control is assured with the bow thrusters CMC control.

Upperdeck

The upperdeck’s main wheelhouse is appointed with a dedicated work desk and a comfortable settee to starboard, placing the captain at the heart of an advanced navigation and control suite that includes two CAT electronic engine displays paired with two CAT electronic engine controls, a FURUNO Navtex NX-700, a SAILOR 6222 DSC VHF, and three nineteen-inch monitors commanded by a SIMRAD OP40 control keyboard. Precision handling is assured by a SIMRAD AP70 autopilot with integrated tridata monitor complemented by a SIMRAD QS80 autopilot joystick, two SIMRAD wind stations, a SIMRAD AR78 gyro compass, and a compass, while safety and situational awareness are elevated by a TVCC control station, a smoke detector main control panel, and a touch screen shipping control monitor. Seamless communication flows through the intercom panel, and fine control over vessel dynamics comes via a CMC electric bow thruster [380V] control panel together with a CMC touchscreen fins stabilizer control panel. Completing the environment are meteo stations for up-to-the-minute weather insight, a car stereo for onboard ambience, and a KALLENBERG M-511 horn control station for authoritative signalling.

Upper deck cockpit

Safety and sophistication converge in the upper deck cockpit, where two liferafts and an EPIRB are discreetly positioned for peace of mind, and data monitors keep essential information readily at hand. External stairs from the main cockpit lead smoothly to the sun deck, where an exterior dining table invites open-air gatherings accompanied by a comfortable sofa and two armchairs, all elegantly sheltered beneath a generous sun awning.

Upperdeck and bowdeck

On the upperdeck, a convenient day bathroom serves this versatile space, where a TV with electric hi/lo movement, dedicated storage, a hallway with dumb-waiter and fridge, an office table with chairs, and curtains create a refined and functional environment. Moving forward to the bowdeck, the specification includes two anchor windlasses with capstans, a table and settees, a manual rescue crane, additional storage, a chain locker, and Sunbrella for durable protection in the elements.

Galley

A beautifully appointed galley showcases refined BOFFI furniture and a comprehensive suite of GAGGENAU appliances, including a fridge and freezer, an oven, a hob with matching hood, a microwave oven, and a dishwasher. Practicality meets polish with two stainless-steel sinks complemented by an Insinkerator, while discreet stairs to the crew area ensure effortless service and seamless operations.

Fuel quality and transfer are expertly handled by an ALFA LAVAL fuel separator system and a transfer suite comprising one 380V pump and one 24V unit. Ride comfort and poise are governed through the CMC stabilizer fins main panel, and the black- and grey-water circuits are served by 380V pumps with two in bypass, complemented by a HAMMAN grey- and black-water purification system. Onboard climate is maintained by a CONDARIA AC system delivering 240,000 BTU, with domestic hot water supplied by a dedicated water heater. Autonomy at anchor is further extended by an IDROMAR watermaker producing 230 l/h, and shore-power handling is streamlined by the GLENDINNING cablemaster.

Main deck

The main deck is designed for effortless entertaining and relaxation, centered around a 65-inch TV that sets the tone for immersive downtime. A versatile lounge and dining area transitions seamlessly from casual gatherings to refined meals, while a well-appointed bar elevates service and sociability. A conveniently located day bathroom adds practical comfort for guests without interrupting the flow of life on board.

The aft deck invites relaxed gatherings with a coffee table complemented by a plush settee and four armchairs beneath a refined teak ceiling. Entertaining is effortless with a fridge, an icemaker, and dedicated bar storage, while practical seamanship needs are met by two mooring winches with capstans.
