Sanlorenzo’s SL86 luxury motor yacht is crafted to celebrate space and flood the interiors with natural light. A sculpted midships sheer opens the profile to enlarge the side glazing, so guests can savor sweeping views even while seated in the salon. This 27-meter flybridge yacht, created in partnership with Officina Italiana Design, brings innovations that set the pace for the brand’s planing yacht line. Forward, the bow becomes an alfresco living zone with sofas, a table, broad sunpads, and a discreet removable shade. Above, the extended flybridge evolves into a generous sun and social deck, made possible by a transom tender garage and a hydraulic lift swim platform—ideal for a performance cruiser with superyacht refinement.

Detailed Description

Electrical system

Aft, a Glendinning Cablemaster with one CM8 unit manages the 100 A shore power connection with effortless precision, streamlining hook‑up and retrieval for seamless arrivals and departures.

Engine room equipment

Confidence at sea begins in the machinery space, where a hot water circulation pump delivers instant comfort throughout the yacht, a watermaker rated at 900 gal/day extends true autonomy far from shore, and a frequency converter harmonizes power for global flexibility without compromise.

Thrusters and stabilizers

Zero Speed fin electric stabilizers elevate comfort both at anchor and underway, keeping the yacht composed in a variety of sea states, while a hydraulic stern thruster delivers confident lateral authority for precise, unhurried maneuvering in tight quarters.

Alarm and security

A vigilant CCTV system oversees critical spaces with one fixed camera in the Engine Room and one fixed camera in the cockpit, while a remote cellular warning system keeps you informed wherever you cruise. At the country‑kitchen helm station, one additional MTU engine monitor adds reassuring redundancy and oversight.

Maneuvering controls

A third fixed MTU control station on the aft cockpit brings precise throttle and gear control to where it matters most, empowering confident stern‑to approaches and effortless docking.

Satellite and communication system

The Simrad Atmosphere integrated package anchors the yacht’s navigation and communications suite, further strengthened by a second NSO for expanded capability, intuitive operation, and reassuring redundancy at sea.

Audio video

The audio‑video specification outlined below is not discountable, reflecting a carefully curated experience. In the dining area, upgraded sonorization includes a receiver‑amplifier replacement and an additional remote, delivering richer sound and effortless control at the table.

Complements for the exterior

The main deck presents a low‑profile stance, crowned by a hard top with an electrically louvered opening roof and a striking bi‑color superstructure. On the flybridge, a sleek column shower complements a teak deck, while the standard swim platform gains an electro‑hydraulic lift system. Nighttime allure comes from four underwater lights rated at 7000 lumen, and natural light floods the interior through a dark fixed skylight in the superstructure—an enlarged version with external dimensions of 600 x 1150 mm tailored to the country‑kitchen layout. The bow dinette is elegantly finished with a teak floor for barefoot luxury.

Exterior decor

On the flybridge, Paola Lenti furniture transforms open‑air living with three Cove sunbeds, two Cove sofas, two Cove platforms, two Strappo tables, three Side Frame side tables, two Nido armchairs, and one Otto table, complemented by decorative pillows, an additional cushion by the staircase, and additional Paola Lenti fabric—distinctly different from the standard furniture and including three additional Mirto chairs in the cockpit. A custom‑made bar cabinet on the flybridge in teak and Corian elevates service and style, joined by three additional SSSS Magis stools. The cockpit features a bespoke fixed table whose top slides fore‑and‑aft, crafted in varnished teak with a beveled edge and set on a satin stainless‑steel base. The hard top is painted in the signature style of SL 96 and 106, and the yacht is pre‑wired for a backlit boat name. Practical enhancements include two additional spring cleats on the sides—one to port and one to starboard—and hatch handles upgraded versus the standard socket for winch. Shade is assured by a bow sun awning with stainless‑steel poles and a flybridge sun awning with stainless‑steel poles, while the flybridge dashboard is finished in white. A manual hi‑lo bow table adapts to every moment, and a Jacuzzi on the flybridge crowns the experience with pure indulgence.

Complements for the interior

Private comfort is elevated with a head shower in the Owner’s bathroom, while two additional electric blackout roller blinds in the Owner and VIP cabins ensure deep, restorative sleep. The decorative curtains in the Owner’s bathroom and the salon are motorized—five in total, except for the salon aft curtain—replacing the standard manual movement. Crew circulation is refined by an additional door in the crew corridor, lighting in the salon is tuned via a dimmer, and both the master and VIP cabins feature televisions discreetly concealed behind mirrors.

Interior decor

Refinement resonates throughout with leather upholstery applied across the yacht: the Owner’s ceiling, vanity, chaise longue, and aft wall; the beds; the guest and crew staircase walls; the salon cabinet top; and the lower foyer wall—distinctly different from the standard wood or lacquer finishes. Warmth and texture continue with spruce wood selected for walls, doors, cabinets, and wardrobes, diverging from the standard wood finishing, while Bticino Axolute back‑painted switches and plugs elevate every touchpoint beyond the standard fittings. Bathrooms are appointed in Austral Brown marble for the floors and the washbasin tops with integrated top, with one wall in the Owner’s shower and the lower portion of one wall in the day bathroom also finished in this stone, replacing the standard lacquer. An additional rug in the salon in Super Tuft Desmo 4312 enriches the lounge, and the Owner, VIP, and guest cabins are carpeted in Super Tuft Desmo 4312 as a step up from the standard carpet. Tactile precision continues with Olivari Arc handles in lieu of the standard hardware, and dining is centered around an Acerbis table, different from the standard table. Horizontal stainless‑steel strips articulate the furniture in the salon, dining area, and the Owner, guest, and VIP cabins, while a wood floor unifies the lower lobby, salon, and kitchen in place of standard carpet or vinyl, and a wood dining ceiling replaces the standard lacquer. An additional Flos Kelvin table lamp graces the salon, the portside aft lower doors are finished in Rimex Bronze Mirror Stainless instead of standard wood or lacquer, and the forward dining wall is enriched with backlit Lithos Carrara Rigel‑pattern marble panels framed in stainless steel. Versatility meets rest with sliding beds in the guest cabins, and the pilothouse gains two tables with an additional filler, different from the standard table, featuring Silestone tops and stainless‑steel bases.
