Detailed Description
Overview
A picture is worth a thousand words, but this one will leave you speechless. Eighteen months of research and design culminate in the flagship center console, the Scout 345XSF. This forward-seating sportfish, in a category of its own, showcases our Scout Stepped Hull Technology and layers in amenities typically reserved for luxury sportfishers. Step aboard and discover the difference that makes this boat a true Scout—and yes, it is as fast as it looks.
Safety and utility are engineered into every inch: dual swim platforms with a center walk‑through pair with hydraulic steering featuring power assist, an Armstrong dive swim ladder, and a transom door. Fishing readiness comes standard with a 60‑gallon transom fish box/storage, 10‑inch pull‑up stern and bow cleats, two 8‑inch spring‑line cleats, six stainless‑steel flush‑mount gunwale rod holders, and four horizontal under‑gunwale rod storage racks. An aft under‑deck systems station with storage keeps service points tidy, while 30 Amp shore power with a 50' cord and a 50 Amp battery charger deliver dependable energy management. Thoughtful stowage abounds, including port aft side transom storage and port and starboard aft floor fish boxes. Washdowns are effortless with raw and fresh water access fed by a 30‑gallon tank. Comfort meets function at the transom with an aft‑facing stern seat whose underside conceals a baitwell and tackle drawers, complemented by cup holders and armrests. At the helm, dual adjustable Airmar custom chairs with folding lean bolsters, armrests, and a glove box provide fatigue‑free support, while beneath them, underside tackle storage drawers sit alongside a four‑bank battery compartment.
The command center is refined and intuitive. A Kenwood stereo system with an iPod plug or USB flash drive powers four JL Audio 7.7 component speakers through a JL Audio 450 Watt amp, filling the cockpit with clean, robust sound. Overhead, a powder‑coated, patented T‑Top hardtop with a glass enclosure anchors the profile, aided by an electric center top vent that ushers in breeze on demand. A switch panel with lighted switches, a console glove box with a 12V plug, a precision compass, and both courtesy and navigation lights enhance confidence at the helm, while molded‑in forward and aft spreader lights turn night into day when duty calls.
Inside the inner console berth, day trips melt into overnighters with ease. A microwave, a stainless‑steel sink set in a Corian vanity with mirror, and an ice chest topped by a Corian counter elevate casual galley moments. Freshen up in a proper marine head with electric overboard discharge and a 10‑gallon holding tank. Natural light filters through port and starboard windows, overhead lights set the mood, and a double berth with a fold‑up table makes the space as versatile as it is inviting.
On deck, form and function are in perfect balance. A starboard console storage closet neatly organizes the brush, gaff, lines, line hooks, and more. 360‑degree bolster cushions trace the cockpit, while a recessed, powder‑coated coaming rail provides secure, comfortable bracing. The stepped hull delivers the efficiency, lift, and poise that define the 345XSF’s ride. Forward, a console double sun‑deck lounge with cushions, armrests, and underside storage invites relaxation; just ahead, forward bow seating with underside storage and a cooler keeps guests comfortable and gear close at hand. Anchoring is effortless with a Lewmar windlass, anchor, chain, and rode, complete with bow foot controls and redundant helm controls. Additional bow under‑deck storage rounds out a layout conceived for serious sportfishing and refined day boating alike.
