Grape Escape represents a fresh innovation for Jet Tern Marine, being the inaugural Selene 55 that merges the euro stern design of the Selene 59 with the layout of the Selene 53. The Kiwi owner desired the aesthetics of the larger model while appreciating the dimensions of the smaller one. This unique combination was a project Jet Tern Marine embraced with enthusiasm.

This design evolution also included the addition of a new transom door leading to the lazarette, which now accommodates a washing machine, deep freeze, and even a couple of bicycles. Furthermore, the cockpit roof has been extended, ensuring that the entire cockpit area is comfortably sheltered.
