Principal features

Purposefully specified for effortless cruising, the yacht features an electric anchor winch with bow roller and full flybridge and cockpit controls, a hot-and-cold swimming shower at the platform and elegant folding cockpit doors opening from the saloon, a Radio/CD player feeding both cockpit and flybridge speakers, a refrigerator/freezer, a ceramic hob served by an efficient extractor fan, and a microwave oven. Navigation and control are assured by dual-station chartplotter and dual-station autopilot, speed and depth instruments, and a VHF radio with DSC across dual stations, complemented by responsive trim tabs. Construction

Crafted with hand-laid GRP and a lustrous gel coat including stripes, the structure benefits from a vinylester skin coat with powder-bound mat and a stitched multi-axial reinforced single-skin bottom. The hull topsides are balsa-cored, while the deck and superstructure utilise PVC foam cores, and the entire form is stiffened by longitudinal stringers supported by transverse bulkheads and floors for enduring strength and integrity.

Deck

The deck is detailed entirely in stainless steel fittings, including robust stainless steel cleats, and equips a Delta anchor with 40m of galvanised chain. An electric winch and 24v capstan provide both deck and 24v helm controls, working with a stem-head roller and anchor stop into a self-draining chain locker with dedicated fender stowage. Stainless steel pulpit and cockpit rails, stainless steel fendering with rubber insert, and IMCO navigation lights accompany two 24v pantograph wipers with windscreen washers, while an ensign staff and socket, 6 fenders and 4 warps, and a curved safety glass windscreen complete this seamanlike specification.

Bathing platform

Engine room/ mechanical

Engine spaces are comprehensively prepared with soundproofing and aluminium fuel tanks fitted with electric sender units, with fuel filters/water separators serving both engines and generators. Safety and redundancy are extended via manual bilge/automatic flood pumps with high-level alarms and automatic bilge and flood pumps with high-level alarms, alongside generator exhaust silencers and water separators, engine exhaust dry risers with water injection and strainers to all raw water inlets. Control is precise through power steering with hydraulic control steering and a trim tabs hydraulic control unit. Ventilation is safeguarded by air intakes fitted with automatically operated emergency shutdown flaps, DC air distribution fans and DC air extraction fans fitted with butterfly shutdown dampers. An exhaust gas temperature sensor and an engine room fire extinguishing system FM200 complete the specification.

Electrical system

Power is assured by a generator with underwater silent exhaust and an AC dockside connection feeding main DC and AC electrical circuits protected by re-settable circuit breakers, monitored via Cm8 monitoring and a systems monitoring panel and safeguarded by a galvanic isolator. Energy storage comprises 4 batteries for the engine starting 24v circuit and 4 batteries for the domestic power 24v circuit, linked through a battery coupling system with battery switches controlled from a locker in the cockpit and an alternator split-charging system. A battery charger for 24v circuits, a water heater, electrical AC sockets throughout the boat and an electric bow thruster complete this robust electrical architecture.

Underwater gear

Below the waterline, control and efficiency are delivered by a bow thruster—electric 24v—and seawater strainers in nickel-plated bronze, with a full cathodic bonding system to zinc anodes. Performance hardware includes hydraulic trim tabs in stainless steel, propeller shafts in Temet 25, high performance rudders in AB2 bronze, P-brackets in NAB nickel aluminium bronze complete with water lubricated bearing, a self-aligning shaft seal including a spare seal and AB2 bronze propellers.

Systems

Everyday operation is effortless thanks to hydraulic power steering and an electric toilet system with integral macerator 24v. Toilets discharge either overboard or to a black water tank, and the black water tank can discharge to dockside or overboard. Capacities include a 600 litre fresh water tank with electric sending unit and a 2,200 litre aluminium fuel tank with electric sending unit, all pressurised by a 24v water pressure system and served by a hot water tank with immersion heater AC. Washbasins and showers drain to a sump box that automatically discharges overboard, while a 24v bilge pumping system and a manual/automatic fire extinguishing system combined with engines, generators and fans shutdown, together with auxiliary hydraulics for trim tabs 24v, round out the ship’s systems.
