Conceived as a true explorer, this yacht was commissioned by an exceptionally seasoned yachtsman who had already taken his first yacht, Indigo—a 103' CBI Navi—around the world twice: once by the southern route rounding Cape Horn, and once by the northern route via the Northwest Passage across the top of Canada. Completed as a full naval architecture and engineering package in 2007 at a cost of nearly $1,000,000, the project was tendered to multiple shipyards. The financial headwinds of 2008 paused construction, but the documentation remains comprehensive and build-ready today, requiring only modest updates to reflect current classification and technology standards. Although envisioned some years ago, the concept has aged effortlessly. The seaworthy, classed and MCA-compliant design features a flared bow for dryness, efficient twin screws, and an integrated swim platform giving effortless access to the tender garage. Purposed for frequent worldwide and transatlantic passages, she marries range with comfort, offering a spacious interior for up to 14 persons. Arranged over three decks, accommodations include an owner’s cabin with a double berth, two guest cabins each with two single berths, and a VIP cabin with a double berth. For the captain and crew there are, respectively, a double berth and two single berths.
