Overview

A new chapter in blue‑water luxury, this 2026 84‑foot steel motor yacht is a true thoroughbred among expedition yachts, conceived and crafted in Turkey with both hull and interior design by AvA Yachts. Her full‑displacement steel hull and steel decks are purpose‑built for poise and safety on extended passages, while a broad 24‑foot beam translates into impressive interior volume and expansive deck spaces for relaxed, all‑weather living. The aesthetic is refined yet practical, marrying ocean‑going capability with an elegant, contemporary ambiance that elevates every moment at sea.

Quietly capable and reassuringly efficient, twin Volvo Penta inboard diesels deliver an economical 9‑knot cruise and 11‑knot sprint, supported by generous tankage for genuine autonomy, including approximately 6,340 gallons of fuel and 1,532 gallons of fresh water. The deep‑draft, full‑displacement form rewards with confident tracking and a gentle, composed motion, inviting you to stretch horizons and linger in far‑flung anchorages where the finest journeys are measured in time, not miles.

Inside, the AvA Yachts signature shines through with tailored finishes, panoramic sightlines, and a layout designed for effortless flow between social and private spaces. Comfort is thoughtfully addressed with six beautifully appointed heads, while a dedicated crew area with a cabin for two ensures discreet service on passage and at anchor. From protected walk‑around decks to inviting alfresco lounges, every detail whispers seakindly luxury—an invitation to explore the world with grace, confidence, and the enduring strength of steel.

Detailed Description

Kando 85 walkthrough

A true little ship, the Kando 85 presents an imposing profile and a thoughtfully conceived layout, featuring an On-Deck Master, three cabins below, and dedicated crew quarters forward. Boarding is effortless, whether stepping from a floating dock directly onto the swim platform or embarking from a fixed dock via the side deck gates.

Aft, the Aft Deck invites relaxed alfresco dining with built-in seating arranged around a dining table. Inside, the Salon showcases built-in furniture to port and starboard, complemented forward by a free-standing dining table, creating a refined space for entertaining and everyday living.

Proceeding forward along the starboard side, a Day Head precedes the full-beam On-Deck Master Suite, ensuring convenience and privacy. To port, an enclosed Galley offers a well-organized workspace for culinary preparation.

From the Main Lobby, a set of stairs leads forward to the crew area, comprising two Crew Cabins, a Head, and a Crew Mess/Galley. Another staircase serves the principal accommodation deck, revealing a full-beam VIP cabin, a double cabin to starboard, and to port a twin cabin that converts to a double.

On the upper deck, the Wheelhouse centers around a centerline Helm, with built-in seating to port and starboard and a Day Head aft to port. Outdoors, a walk-behind bar with three bar stools sits alongside a davit and ample space for an owner-supplied tender, while a gently sloped stainless ladder provides graceful access down to the Aft Deck.

Boat's characteristics

This yacht features a true displacement hull form for composed seakeeping and efficient passagemaking, an unsinkable hull that maintains buoyancy even in the event of flooding in any compartment, and cabins providing a minimum free height of 2.10 m for generous headroom. Command and safety are further enhanced by four control stations, including two helm bridges with emergency stop buttons for immediate intervention.

Structural materials

The yacht’s hull is crafted from high tensile marine steel AH36, delivering formidable strength and unwavering seakeeping, while the superstructure is executed in aluminum alloy Almg 5083 H321 to balance rigidity with weight efficiency. Overhead, the hardtop employs a sandwich system epoxy composite for optimal stiffness, insulation, and durability. Systems engineering is equally meticulous: the fresh water system is plumbed in polypropylene pipes, the sanitary system in PVC pipes, the fuel system in mild steel pipes, and the sea water cooling system in CuNiFe pipes to resist corrosion in demanding marine conditions. Safety-critical circuits—including the fire extinguishing system, the bilge suction system, and the tank air vent system—are specified in the Mapress System or equivalent to ensure reliability and serviceability. The hydraulic system is executed in seamless steel pipes for high-pressure integrity, and all stainless steel equipment is AISI316L unless otherwise specified, securing long-term resilience against the marine environment.

Engines, propulsion system, speed & range

At her heart, a pair of VOLVO-PENTA D8 MG units deliver dependable thrust, each rated at 360 HP at 2100 RPM in heavy-duty marine configuration. Power is channelled through two gearboxes, Twin Disc or ZF, to a long-shaft propulsion system with fixed-blade propellers turning on AISI316L stainless steel propeller shafts. She reaches a maximum speed of 11 knots at 95% engine load, with an effortless cruising envelope of 7–9 knots at 60% engine load. Provisional fuel consumption and cruise range figures underscore her efficiency: 30 lts/hr @ 8 kts / 6700 nm; 45 lts/hr @ 9 kts / 5000 nm; 63 lts/hr @ 10 kts / 4000 nm; and 142 lts/hr @ 11 kts / 2000 nm.

Maneuvering, steering & mooring
