Overview

STELLA FIERA is the inaugural Benetti Classic 115, the trailblazing motor yacht that launched one of the shipyard’s most iconic superyacht series. Unveiled in 1998 and celebrated as the “Star of the Genoa Yacht Show,” she carries the full pedigree of Stefano Righini’s sculpted exterior and Zuretti’s enduringly elegant interior.

At 247 GT with a generous 7.20-metre beam, this tri-deck luxury yacht delivers impressive interior volume for her length. She has enjoyed diligent, ongoing investment throughout her life, with major refit work in 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018 and, most extensively, in 2022. These programs encompassed machinery overhauls, hydraulic systems, guest spaces, exterior refinishing and soft furnishings, leaving a displacement superyacht that presents today in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition.

Twin Caterpillar engines provide a comfortable 12-knot cruising speed, a top speed of around 16 knots and an approximate 3,200-nautical-mile range at cruise for confident bluewater passages. Comfort both underway and at anchor is enhanced by Mitsubishi GOT 1000 stabilizers, while close-quarters handling is refined by a hydraulic Koopnautic bow thruster.

Among the standout upgrades is a large hydraulic swim platform that simplifies access to the sea and doubles as stowage for a tender or jet ski. Additional enhancements include an Opacmare hydraulic passerelle, upgraded windlasses, a renewed bow thruster system and extensive hydraulic hose replacement, all completed in 2022 for turn-key reliability.

Inside, Zuretti’s timeless style endures, with warm woods, considered lighting and a traditional yet highly practical layout. The main salon combines a spacious lounge with a formal dining area, while the galley was completely reimagined and enlarged to professional standards, equipped with Siemens, Wolf, Miele, Gaggenau and Liebherr appliances to support extended cruising and charter-style service.

Accommodation is for 10 guests in five cabins. The owner’s suite sits privately on the upper deck with sweeping views, while a full-beam VIP forward on the main deck is an exceptional feature for a yacht of this size. The lower deck adds a second full-beam VIP and two twin cabins. Crew quarters for seven across four cabins ensure efficient, discreet operation and the smooth service expected of a premium luxury motor yacht.

Outdoor living is a defining strength. The sundeck hosts a jacuzzi, generous open space for sunbathing or socialising and light fitness equipment. The upper deck aft serves as a versatile entertainment venue, ideal for al fresco cinema or events, while the main deck aft offers a sheltered setting for dining and lounging.

Overall, STELLA FIERA distinguishes herself through pedigree, condition and the thoroughness of her modernisation. Few classic Benetti superyachts of her generation have been so comprehensively upgraded, and fewer still can claim the prestige of being hull number one of the Classic 115 line—a timeless Italian tri-deck motor yacht crafted for elegant cruising and refined yacht-life enjoyment.

Detailed Description

Main characteristics

Built by Benetti and delivered in 1998 with substantial updates in 2022, this 36.54 m (119’9’’) yacht carries a generous 7.20 m (23’7’’) beam and a 2.11 m (6’11’’) draft, presenting balanced proportions for blue-water cruising. She is ABS classified and flies the Cook Islands flag, with a gross tonnage of 247 GT and a net tonnage of 190 T. The exterior lines are by Stefano Righini, the naval architecture by Benetti, and the serene, sophisticated interiors by Zuretti Interiors. Underway, she offers approximately 12 kn cruising and 16 kn maximum speed, with a transoceanic range of 3,200 nm at 12 kts. Endurance is assured by a fuel capacity of 35,600 L (9,405 USG), complemented by 6,700 L (1,770 USG) of fresh water and 1,500 L of black water capacity including grey water.

Machinery

Power comes from twin CAT 3412 DITA engines rated at 1,350 hp each, with approximately 2,200 engine hours, burning diesel through ZF BW 256 gearboxes with a 4:133 reduction ratio. Roll is tamed by CMC stabilizers. Ship’s power is supplied by two 55 kW Kohler generators and one 27 kW Kohler unit, ensuring resilient redundancy. The electrical backbone includes batteries configured as one bank for radio, one bank for emergency lights, one bank for service, and two Decca 24 V/50 Amp battery chargers. Climate control is robust at 240,000 BTU. Precision handling is delivered by a hydraulic Koopnautic 70 hp bow thruster, complemented by twin five-blade propellers. Fresh water autonomy is enhanced by Sea Recovery Coral C10.600 water makers producing 10,600 L/day. Fuel polishing is handled by three sets of Racor filters. Safety-critical systems include two Gianneschi fire/bilge pumps rated at 175 L/min (2006), and hot water is assured by two boilers of 100 liters/3 kW each.

Accommodation

Thoughtfully arranged for private cruising or charter, the yacht provides one owner’s cabin on the upper deck, two VIP cabins and two twin cabins for guests, and crew quarters across four cabins accommodating seven crew, delivering both privacy and professional service capability.

Galley & laundry equipment

The professional galley is equipped for refined culinary service, featuring one Siemens stove with five induction plates paired to a Wolf oven with extractor hood, a Miele commercial Dishwasher 7856, and a Gaggenau wine cellar for perfect bottle stewardship. Cold storage is abundant with three Liebherr refrigerators and one Liebherr refrigerator/freezer, while laundry is handled efficiently by one Miele washing machine and one Miele dryer.

Communications, navigation & entertainment equipment

Connectivity and command are comprehensive, with a Smart Pilot SPX-SOL, SSB Furuno FS1562, and VHF Furuno FM8500 forming a robust communications suite. Navigation is anchored by a Furuno FR7112 daylight-view radar and three Raymarine E165 units that display 4K HD radar, chartplotter with Navionics charts, HD fish finder, and Sea Talk repeaters for depth, wind, GPS, and autopilot data. Two i70r units further display Sea Talk instrumentation, while a Kahlenberg horn with Auto Control, Sanshin searchlight, and Kobelt throttle controls enhance safety and precision. For close-quarters handling, there is one remote wing control at port and starboard for docking and maneuvering.

Tenders & watersports equipment

The yacht’s playful spirit is matched by her inventory: one Northstar 3.7 m tender for swift ship-to-shore runs, one Jetski Yamaha FB1800 (2021) for adrenaline on demand, two Seabobs for underwater exploration, and a selection of inflatable platforms, water ski and more to complete the watersports repertoire.

Deck equipment

Deck operations are effortless with an Opacmare hydraulic gangway, two aft deck warping capstans, and two electrical MUIRR VRC 8000 anchor windlasses rated at 5,500 W each (2006), all working in concert with two 230 kg anchors to ensure secure holding and smooth handling.

Safety & security equipment

Safety is comprehensive, beginning with LG CCTV coverage of the engine room, two sides of the aft main deck, two sides of the sun deck, and the garage. Fire protection includes two 5 kg CO2 extinguishers, fourteen 2 kg dry powder extinguishers, seven 4.5 kg dry powder extinguishers, and one 6 kg dry powder extinguisher, supported by smoke alarms and flares. Life-saving appliances include two new 25-man SOLAS A PACK Viking 25DK life rafts, two EPIRBs (Kannad 406 and ACR), and two SART, delivering layered resilience at sea.

Refit history

In 2013, comfort on deck was elevated with a new Jacuzzi on the sundeck, while the galley and crew mess were completely stripped, redesigned, fabricated, and furnished to modernize service for the five luxury cabins; all fridges, deep freezers, oven, cooker, and appliances were renewed. By 2014, both 55 kW Kohler generators were renewed. In 2016, the rudder control panel was replaced together with all cables, fuses, and electronic control boards. The main engines underwent a comprehensive overhaul: valves, cylinder liners, injectors, and fuel pumps were removed and overhauled, and coolers were replaced; a new Kohler synchrony system was added to the domestic power system, automating generator start and switching. In 2018, the stern platform’s hydraulic power, pistons, and control system were replaced. The hydraulic gangway (Opacmare) was dismantled and serviced outside the yacht: the box was cleaned, sensors, hydraulic pipes, and pistons replaced, then realigned and reassembled; the A/C system was overhauled and chiller compressors replaced. The 2022 program renewed both generators, replaced the electric motors of both windlasses, re-caulked the sundeck teak, and fully rebuilt the bow thruster system with new thruster shafts, valve blocks, bearings, seals, and all hydraulic hoses. All hydraulic hoses for the gangway and garage door systems were also renewed. Interior refresh included new woven carpets with new ornament throughout all cabins and the salon, five A/C fan coils replaced, and complete new upholstery for all sofas, chairs, beds, and walls. Aft and sundeck areas were repainted, and the cap handrails were newly varnished to a deep gloss.
