Detailed Description
Full specification
Crafted by Azimut Benetti Spa – Benetti Division with naval architecture from the same prestigious house, and a concept and exterior by Stefano Righini, this 2011 build pairs Italian pedigree with refined interior design by Carlo Galeazzi for owner and guest spaces and bespoke Benetti styling for the crew areas. At 28.50 m in length (93’ 6”), with a 7.03 m beam (23’ 1”) and a 1.90 m draft (6’ 3”), the yacht offers four cabins for eight guests sleeping and welcomes twelve guests cruising, while three crew are accommodated across two cabins. The overall aesthetic and engineering harmonize Benetti’s hallmark craftsmanship with thoughtful livability.
Performance is assured by two MTU 8V2000 M72 main engines delivering 720 kW at 2250 rpm, paired with two Reintjes WAF 344 gearboxes and Benetti Design propellers, supported by two Kohler generators of 40 kW each at 230 VAC/50 Hz. An Idromar MC3J water maker produces 180 l per hour (47,55 US gallons), while a hydraulic bow thruster rated at 30 kW (40 Hp) and stabilizers for both navigation and zero speed at anchor elevate comfort and control. She reaches a maximum speed of 14.0 knots at half-load displacement, cruises at 13.0 knots at eighty-five percent of maximum power at half load, and offers a range of 1,500 nautical miles at an economical 10 knots with one diesel generator running.
Classification and compliance are equally robust, with a CE mark (module F) certified by Registro Italiano Navale (R.I.Na.), and optional conformity to R.I.Na. Rules for Classification of Pleasure Yachts C HULL • MACH Y as well as an MCA Compliance Certificate issued by R.I.Na. The hull and superstructure are entirely in GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic), employing single-skin and sandwich construction according to zone, while the superstructure features a cored sandwich structure. Above the keel, double-bottom tanks are integral to the hull for the water tank, fuel tanks, and sanitary tank, underscoring a construction that balances strength, weight, and serviceability.
Climate control is entrusted to a Heinen & Hopman system engineered for demanding conditions. In summer, the system is designed for outside air at 35° C (95° F) with 90% relative humidity and inside air maintained at 22° C (72° F) with 55% relative humidity, with maximum seawater temperature at 32° C (90° F). In winter, the system addresses outside air at 0° C (32° F) while preserving an interior of 22° C (72° F), with maximum seawater temperature specified at 10° C (90° F).
The outfitting reflects serious seamanship. Lofrans windlasses (three 230 V) and foot-operated Lofrans capstans (230 V, three-phase, 50 Hz) work in concert with high holding power galvanised-steel anchors at 98 kg each, with HHP credentials clearly stated. Two galvanised-steel stud-link chains to DIN 766 for U2 grade, each of 12,5 mm diameter and one hundred ten metres in length, provide dependable ground tackle. A hydraulic, retractable, telescopic gangway with three stages streamlines boarding, while the aft garage houses a 4.5 m tender alongside space for water toys.
The electrical system is designed and installed to CE requirements, combining a 230 VAC/three-phase/50 Hz backbone with a 24 VDC network, with an optional 60 Hz configuration available. Navigation and communication equipment in the wheelhouse include a Simrad Nobeltec radar, a gyro compass, a rudder angle indicator, and a Riviera White Star BW 3 magnetic compass with a 130 mm diameter. A Wind Multi NMEA log/wind system, Navicontrol Mod AP3003 autopilot, BCS rudder tiller, and a take-over system are complemented by GPS, a PC-based chart system running Nobeltec Admiral 10 Max-Pro software, and ARPA functionality. Time and weather are tracked via the Barigo 120 clock, barometer, and thermometer set, while communications are handled by a Sailor 4801 DSC (D Class) VHF, Telular SX 5E GSM/GPRS phone, and an RX-TDA30 PABX.
Entertainment is seamlessly integrated throughout. The yacht is fitted with a Naval Nargentus antenna for aerial TV and AM/FM radio reception and the “BEST” Integrated Entertainment System. In the main saloon, a Denon sintoamplifier mod. 2809 partners with a Client BEST HD interface, a 42” LCD TV, in-ceiling speakers, an integrated Philips Pronto remote control, and a Denon iPod docking station, while the dining area enjoys a CPA 60 stereo amplifier feeding two speakers with independent volume control. Exterior areas on the main deck benefit from four marine speakers, and the sun deck features a waterproof amplified car stereo by SONY driving four marine speakers. The owner’s suite mirrors the saloon’s premium specification with a Denon sintoamplifier mod. 2809, Client BEST HD, a 42” LCD TV, in-ceiling speakers, an integrated Philips Pronto remote, and a Denon iPod docking station. The VIP cabin and guest cabins each feature a Teac System DR-H300 with DVD player and iPod input, a 19” LCD TV, in-ceiling speakers, and an integrated Philips Pronto remote. The captain’s cabin and crew cabin are similarly equipped with the Teac System DR-H300 and in-ceiling speakers, while the galley/crew mess adds a 19” LCD TV to the Teac DR-H300 system and in-ceiling speakers. Even the wheelhouse enjoys entertainment via a Teac System DR-H300 with DVD player and iPod input and in-ceiling speakers, ensuring immersive audio-visual comfort throughout.
Domestic appliances are specified for efficient, real-world cruising. A washing machine serves the laundry needs, and a drying machine is positioned in the main saloon. The galley is comprehensively appointed with a 75 cm cooking top, an exhaust hood, a 90 cm oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, a garbage macerator, a fridge, and a freezer, while the external sun deck bar adds a minifridge and an ice maker to keep refreshments perfectly chilled. This carefully curated suite of systems and finishes underscores a yacht designed to cruise with authority, entertain with ease, and pamper guests in unmistakable Benetti style.
