Originally launched by Feadship in 1990, EMERALD has undergone a remarkable transformation since her acquisition by the current owners in 2021. Tailored to meet the desires of her European owners, EMERALD has been reimagined as a luxurious floating residence. From the beginning of this ambitious project, the owners had a distinct vision for enhancing EMERALD, which was expertly realized with the assistance of Balk Shipyard in the Netherlands. Upon her arrival at Balk Shipyard in October 2021, EMERALD measured 48.6 meters in length after a prior extension. She was further elongated to achieve a total length of 50.4 meters. Collaborating with British design firm Design Unlimited, the owners completely redefined the yacht's interior, embracing a modern yet timeless aesthetic. The revamped main deck now features a forward-facing master suite alongside a VIP suite, while four additional guest cabins are located on the lower deck. The main saloon has been transformed into an open-plan space, with a subtle partition distinguishing the lounge from the dining area. The galley on the main deck has also been reconfigured and upgraded with state-of-the-art commercial equipment. The bridge deck saloon and cockpit have been expanded, with a single new crane replacing the two original cranes, facilitating the effortless handling of the yacht's array of water toys. Once the equipment is cleared, this area can serve as a delightful outdoor lounge and relaxation zone. The newly extended sundeck now boasts a spacious spa bath at the front, a cozy seating area, sun loungers, and a wet bar, creating an idyllic environment for soaking up the sun. On the lower deck, the space previously occupied by the original VIP cabin has been transformed into a top-tier crew mess, laundry facilities, cold storage, and an additional engineer's cabin, with all crew quarters receiving a complete refurbishment. As part of the extensive rebuild, the yacht's mast and superstructure archway were redesigned to complement the modernized superyacht and its new equipment. Much of EMERALD's onboard technology has been upgraded, featuring brand-new navigation systems, advanced AV/IT communication systems, and two zero-speed Quantum extendable stabilizers, among other enhancements. The engines and generators, which were new in 2015, have been meticulously serviced and maintained. With a striking new paint finish in Orion Green for the hull and Aquila White for the superstructure, EMERALD is poised for years of luxurious adventures ahead.
