Detailed Description
Description
The 2005 Horizon 82 Enclosed Bridge, BABE, is a preserved gem whose care is evident the moment you step aboard, from her high-gloss wood interior to her timeless hull design. Trades are welcomed, with in-house financing available. She runs with confidence on a proven, stabilized platform, delivering an effortless 18-knot cruise and approximately 400-mile range.
Her CAT C30 engines have been professionally rebuilt, complemented by ABT TRAC stabilizer fins, hydraulic bow and stern thrusters, and a Yacht Controller for precise, stress-free handling. Significant topside paint work completed in 2022–2023 enhances her crisp presentation, while new interior soft goods in 2021 and new carpets in 2023 elevate onboard comfort. Climate control benefits from new chillers installed in 2022/2023, and extended autonomy comes courtesy of twin 27.5 kW Onan generators and a Sea Recovery 1800 GPD watermaker. Deck operations are simplified by a 2,000 lb davit.
The enclosed-bridge skylounge includes a convenient dayhead, and the three-stateroom, three-head layout is designed for gracious cruising. A massive salon with a drop-down bed expands sleeping flexibility, and upgraded large smart TVs in both the salon and skylounge enhance entertainment. Outdoor living shines with a gas grill and TV in the aft cockpit, rounding out a yacht that blends meticulous care, substantive upgrades, and enduring Horizon craftsmanship.
Salon
The salon is gracefully appointed with two large leather sofas complemented by two coffee tables, while a formal dining table with leaf and four chairs provides an elegant setting for intimate meals. A custom ceiling elevates the ambiance, and entertainment is seamlessly integrated with a 55" Smart TV with lift. Underfoot, new carpet (2023) adds a fresh, refined touch, with three lamps casting warm illumination. A dedicated cabinet for stemware comes complete with champagne, wine, and drinking glasses, ensuring every occasion is impeccably served.
Galley
The galley is equipped for gourmet cruising with a GE microwave, GE oven, and GE gas stove, complemented by a Kenmore trash compactor for effortless cleanup. Cold storage is exceptional, with four Sub Zero refrigerators and two Sub Zero freezers ensuring ample provisions are always at hand. An instant hot water feature streamlines meal preparation and beverages, while a dedicated warming drawer keeps courses perfectly timed and ready to serve.
Skylounge
Command the voyage from two Stidd helm seats, guided by an HP touchscreen computer and supported by a Lexmark printer, while guests unwind on an elevated L-shaped leather sofa with a table, accented by throw pillows. Situational awareness is elevated by two Furuno radars, one new in 2012, all visualized on three flat-screen Samsung monitors (2012) and driven by Noble Tec Odyssey (2012) with a dedicated computer (2012).
Performance and environmental data flow from the Garmin GWS10 wind instrument (2012), while course-keeping is entrusted to a Simrad AP50 autopilot (2012) with a secondary AP26 and the IS15. Handling precision is enhanced by ABT Trac stabilizer controls, a hydraulic bow and stern thruster system, and Hynautic trim tabs. Communications are delivered by two VHF Icom IC-MC04 units (2012) paired with new long-range antennas (2012), together with a Seatel Wavecall 3000 satellite system and a telephone system.
