Built for bluewater, long-range cruising, she delivers the comfort, economy, and dependability prized by passagemakers, underscored by a sweeping 2025 electronics renewal, multiple mechanical enhancements, and refined interior refreshes. Offered in turnkey form and performing as designed, ADAIR stands poised to set off on her next voyage with assurance.
Detailed Description
Construction
Molded from high‑grade female tooling, the hull and superstructure set a benchmark for strength and finish. The hull construction features USA‑made Cook® gelcoat, with Knytex in combination with mat and Airex® above the waterline, and solid fiberglass lamination below the waterline utilizing blister‑resistant vinylester resins in the first laminates. Aramid fiber/FRP reinforcement fortifies the stem and stern bottom areas. The superstructure is engineered with Knytex® and mat in combination with Divinycell® cores and surface mats to reduce print‑through. Teak graces the aft and side decks, while the boat and foredecks feature a GripTex® non‑skid finish, and the bulwark is detailed with molded plank lines and a gel coat finish. Polyurethane‑formulated marine sealants are applied at the hull‑to‑deck and boat deck joints and at exterior fittings. Structural integrity is further enhanced by marine‑grade plywood bulkheads paired with molded fiberglass hat‑section stringers, while the interior is crafted in custom teak with custom teak wide‑plank flooring and teak veneers throughout.
Saloon
Upon entering ADAIR through double welded aluminum weathertight doors from the fully covered aft deck, you are greeted by the sophistication and class of a gorgeous custom teak saloon and galley that commands attention at first sight. The ambiance is defined by rich custom teak interior woodwork and custom 4-inch teak plank flooring with spruce inlays, creating a warm, timeless canvas for effortless living and entertaining. An L-shaped settee upholstered in new Ultraleather in 2025 offers generous under-seat storage and pairs with an expandable free-standing hi-lo table to starboard for adaptable dining and lounging. A TV lift with television keeps entertainment elegantly concealed until desired, while two Ekornes Stressless reclining chairs in navy Ultraleather, new in 2025, invite indulgent relaxation. Phantom Screens encourage natural ventilation and a fresh, breezy atmosphere, complemented by custom window treatments throughout, with additional custom window treatments for the doors and all portlights fitted new in 2025.
Galley
The open-faced galley is forward of the saloon to starboard and is a chef’s delight, offering abundant storage, generous counter space, and a separate entrance via a welded aluminum Dutch door that makes provisioning the galley and pantry effortless. Single-level countertops, extended by six inches with a custom addition and enhanced by a purposeful bump-out for entertaining, provide an expansive work surface, while a custom marble countertop lends a refined finish. Two leather barstools aft of the countertop invite easy conversation and casual dining. Premium equipment includes a KitchenAid refrigerator/freezer, a GE convection/microwave oven, a BlueStar 24-inch propane range and oven with a stainless-steel finish, and a convenient trash compactor, while a custom hideaway screen fitted to the galley door promotes airflow without compromising comfort.
Accommodations
The master stateroom is positioned forward to harness natural ventilation at anchor, where four large stainless-steel opening portlights and two overhead hatches with privacy screens invite fresh breezes and soft daylight. As expected aboard a Kadey-Krogen, storage is exceptional, with six large drawers beneath the queen-size island berth topped by a memory foam mattress, while a hydraulic lift system provides effortless access to the under-berth area. Two hanging lockers accompany an aft six-drawer dresser crowned by a new 48-inch Samsung television, and the ambiance is elevated by custom wall coverings, a security safe, LED dimmable lighting, and oscillating electric fans.
Aft to port, the ensuite head features an oversized stall shower measuring six inches larger than a standard 58EB configuration, complete with a glass door and molded seat. Mirrored medicine cabinets, a granite-topped vanity, a freshwater toilet, linen storage, and opening stainless-steel ports above the vanity and within the shower ensure both practicality and polish.
The starboard guest stateroom lies aft of the guest head and offers a queen berth with foam mattresses, a hanging locker, and a private entrance to the guest head. LED reading lights, dimmable LED lighting, oscillating electric fans, and a new Samsung television create a serene and inviting retreat.
Located between the master stateroom and the starboard guest stateroom, the guest head presents a separate stall shower with a glass door, molded seat, and opening portlight, complemented by a granite-topped vanity, freshwater toilet, mirrored medicine cabinet, and a large storage locker opposite the vanity. Opposite the guest head in the companionway sits a Maytag washer and dryer, a thoughtfully convenient placement for everyday living.
Also below deck to port, an open office creates the ultimate remote-work environment, highlighted by a dedicated oversized desk area designed for computers, printers, and multiple monitors, with abundant drawers, cabinets, and bookshelves for organization. Two large oversized portlights bathe the space in natural light, while oscillating electric fans and a large leather office chair complete this productive, comfortable haven.
Pilothouse
The raised pilothouse serves as the operations and command center for ADAIR, anchored by an extensive Furuno electronics suite installed in 2025. A custom black headliner and red/white dimmable LED overhead lighting set a purposeful ambiance over two LleBroc helm chairs with cupholders, an L-shaped settee, and a pedestal-mounted expandable table that together provide generous workspace and an inviting setting for planning or entertaining. For convenience underway, a day head features a stainless-steel sink, granite countertops, an exhaust fan with timer, and a freshwater toilet. A large watch berth with new upholstery from 2025, complemented by shelving, lighting, and a privacy curtain new in 2024, keeps off-watch crew close at hand during passagemaking. Welded aluminum Dutch doors to port and starboard grant effortless access to all decks, while excellent sightlines ensure outstanding visibility for captain and guests.
Pilothouse and flybridge electronics
Comprehensively reviewed and upgraded in 2025, the electronics suites in the pilothouse and on the flybridge are anchored by a new Furuno system and an enhanced, vessel-wide CCTV network for confident navigation and docking in all conditions.
In the pilothouse, control begins with a Yacht Controller handheld remote docking system working in concert with two Furuno TZTouch2 black-box multifunction displays integrated into the updated Furuno Marine Network (new 2025) and Bahamas electronic charts updated in 2025. Additional assets comprise a Class A AIS transponder with display A, a Furuno SiriusXM satellite weather receiver, and a one-million-candlepower CD remote-controlled searchlight (12/24V). Connectivity and security are thoroughly modern, featuring Starlink (new 2025), a complete WiFi System with Peplink router and cellular amplifier (new 2025), and a Siren Marine Siren Pro-2 vessel monitoring and tracking system (new 2025).
On the flybridge, helm operations are powered by two Furuno TZTouch 3 16-inch multifunction touchscreen displays (new 2025) supported by two Furuno remote control units for NavNet TZtouch. Communications mirror the pilothouse with an Icom M604A 25-watt VHF with 25-watt hailer and rear microphone and a CommandMic, while a dual hailer horn provides forward- and aft-facing coverage. The navigation suite is rounded out by a Furuno NavPilot 711C color display and two Furuno FI-70 4.1-inch color LCD instrument displays, ensuring seamless redundancy and clarity between stations.
Entertainment equipment
Designed for immersive onboard living, the salon centers on an A/V receiver with preamplifier and a 7-channel amplifier, driving a dual-woofer, back-to-back bipolar subwoofer delivering 900 watts peak and 300 watts RMS. Sound carries seamlessly through a Fusion MS-FR4021 four-inch outdoor speaker on the aft deck and two Paradigm AMS-100R 7.7-inch speakers within the salon, while visual entertainment is anchored by a Samsung 43-inch TV (new 2025).
In the pilothouse, a Fusion MS-UD750 stereo powers Fusion six-inch two-way full-range in-ceiling speakers and a Fusion six-inch high-performance round speaker on the flybridge. A SiriusXM SXV3000 tuner, controlled from the pilothouse, supplies subscription content throughout the salon and the vessel’s audio system.
The master stateroom features a Samsung 48-inch TV (new 2025), and the guest stateroom is equipped with a Samsung 24-inch TV (new 2025).
Mechanical and engine room
Power comes from twin Tier III John Deere® 4045AFM85 160 hp engines turning at 2,300 rpm through ZF Marine® 2.91:1 ratio gears, currently showing 1,050 hours.
