Detailed Description
Description
Blending contemporary raised pilothouse styling with a gorgeous and very spacious interior, the stunning Lazzara Tranquility IV delivers an unparalleled cruising experience. In 2023 she underwent a massive refit that updated her interior to 2026 standards, and she recently received her UPV certification, enabling worry-free charters and safety features to the highest standards. With a 23-foot beam and 4,000 gallons of fuel, she is capable of straight voyages north or south along the Florida coastline with exceptional comfort, and she is also the perfect vessel for cruising the Bahamas. Accommodations include three staterooms, as well as a private den or study that can comfortably sleep two extra guests for a total of eight in the owner’s party; this additional room was available from the factory as either a study or a fourth stateroom with head and can easily be converted back to a stateroom. Her standout features include a spacious flybridge with Jacuzzi, bar and grill; a raised pilothouse with excellent sight lines; an elegant salon and a spacious aft deck; transom pods with wave runners; and a full-beam, stand-up, walk-around engine room. Tranquility IV also boasts a huge country kitchen–style galley with a large U-shaped dining table, while forward lie the two-stateroom, two-head crew quarters. The décor theme is accentuated by a high-gloss cherry wood treatment found throughout the vessel, and interior updates in 2014 include one hundred percent new padded ceiling panels on both levels, completed by Lazzara Yachts.
Vessel walkthrough
This elegant motor yacht offers the ultimate cruising experience, boasting a three stateroom layout complemented by a private den/study that can comfortably sleep two extra guests, bringing the owner’s party to a total of eight. Unplugged’s features include a spacious flybridge with jacuzzi, bar and grill; a raised pilothouse with excellent sight lines; an elegant salon and a generous aft deck; transom pods with wave runners; and a full-beam, stand-up, walk-around engine room. Tranquility IV has a huge country-kitchen-style galley with a large U-shaped dining table, while forward are the two-stateroom, two-head crew quarters. The decor theme is accentuated by a high-gloss cherrywood treatment found throughout the vessel.
Salon
Entering from the aft deck through a large single glass door integrated into a full-beam glass bulkhead, the grand salon immediately impresses with its generous scale and refined comfort. A large L-shaped white leather sofa anchors the space, complemented by accent pillows and a custom glass coffee table with a pull-out ottoman and bench, while to starboard a smaller matching L-shaped sofa provides additional lounging. At the heart of the room, a built-in entertainment center houses a pop-up 50-inch Pioneer flat-screen LCD TV paired with a Sony Cinema Surround Sound system and a digital audio and video control center, supported by a DVD player, a five-stack CD player, a VCR, and an AM/FM stereo receiver. For intimate gatherings, conversational seating includes four occasional barrel chairs and a granite-topped table, and the yacht’s connectivity is enhanced by DirecTV and satellite reception with nine separate receivers and a KVH system new in 2011. Thoughtful media storage with a 10-inch monitor completes this exquisite and spacious retreat.
Galley
The galley is accessed via a companionway to starboard just forward of the pilothouse, with an on-deck powder room thoughtfully positioned along the way. This inviting country kitchen configuration—one of Lazzara’s most dynamic features—showcases expansive granite countertops and an abundance of storage space, complemented by top-of-the-line appliances that bring all the comforts of home, including a Kitchen Aid Superba 48 side-by-side paneled refrigerator/freezer, a ceramic four-burner cooktop, a trash compactor, a GE Profile Performance microwave/convection oven, and a Bosch dishwasher. Maple Amtico flooring provides a warm, durable foundation, while the large dining area—anchored by a large granite tabletop—welcomes everything from relaxed breakfasts to formal dinners. At the most forward set of cabinets, a twenty-inch Sharp TV is centered and paired with an AM/FM receiver/DVD, ensuring entertainment is always close at hand.
Master stateroom
Located amidship on the lower deck, a wide, open stairway descends to a dramatic foyer serving all guest staterooms as well as the den/study. Concealed behind sleek panels in this foyer are GE stacked washer/dryer units, complemented by a black granite countertop with mirror. Double doors open to the master, where a centered king-size bed, dressed with a designer comforter, coordinating pillows, treatments, and accent pieces, sets a refined tone. Built-in nightstands flank the bed, while his-and-hers armoires frame a full vanity between them, and a spacious walk-in closet with shelves and a personal safe provides generous storage. To starboard, a dresser, chair, and bookcase offer additional utility, and a built-in entertainment center features a 32-inch Sony plasma flat-screen TV, an Aiwa CD/AM/FM stereo along the forward bulkhead, plus a DVD player and DirecTV. Aft, the en-suite his-and-hers head runs athwartship with entrances from either port or starboard and includes a jacuzzi tub/shower.
Den / study
Located just off the master stateroom, forward and to starboard, the study is accessed through a single-door entrance and presents a beautifully appointed retreat. A convertible sleeper sofa, new in 2008, anchors the space and is complemented by built-in end tables with lamps, while entertainment is provided by a Samsung 22-inch TV, an Aiwa CD AM/FM stereo, and an integrated PS2 system for video games and DVD playback. For added convenience, a second entrance leads directly from the foyer.
VIP staterooms
Two identical VIP staterooms are positioned to port and starboard forward of the foyer, each a private retreat with its own en-suite bath. Every bath is thoughtfully appointed with a single sink, a toilet, a stall shower, a linen closet, and a granite countertop, while the staterooms are finished with designer comforters, coordinating pillows, treatments, and an accent piece to complete the refined ambiance.
Crew quarters
Positioned forward of the captain’s cabin, the crew quarters deliver practical comfort with upper-and-lower bunks offering storage beneath, a dedicated dresser, and a cedar-lined hanging locker, complemented by a full entertainment system for off-watch relaxation. A GE washer/dryer combo in the common area streamlines daily routines and ensures effortless upkeep.
Captain's cabin
Located forward of the galley and down to port, the captain’s cabin presents a restful retreat featuring a double bed with drawers beneath that can accommodate a couple. Storage is thoughtfully provided by a cedar-lined hanging locker with a full-length mirror and additional dresser drawers, while a full entertainment system enhances time off watch. For convenience, a shared head with a sink, toilet, and stall shower is accessible from either the captain’s cabin or the second crew cabin.
Pilothouse
Ascending five stairs from the companionway to starboard, the pilothouse unfolds with warm bamboo flooring underfoot and an elevated loveseat to starboard that invites relaxed watchkeeping. A large desk provides generous workspace, while to port a dedicated navigation station with chart table and integrated storage keeps passage planning orderly and at the ready. At the heart of the helm are two centered Stidd helm seats, with one featuring electric controls for the captain to fine-tune comfort and command. Practicality is seamlessly built in, with a full-sized, top-loading Whirlpool freezer, a GE refrigerator, and a hot water heater situated beneath the pilothouse to support extended cruising.
Flybridge
Reached via four steps from the pilothouse through a sliding hatchway, the flybridge unfolds as a superb sanctuary for entertaining and relaxation, anchored by three Stidd helm chairs new in 2011 and dressed in light tan indoor/outdoor carpeting, also new in 2011. To starboard, an inviting L-shaped lounge is paired with a Corian tabletop and sun umbrella, while to port an L-shaped bar with Corian countertop serves as the social hub, complemented by three bar stools, a U Line refrigerator with a separate ice maker, and a sink delivering hot and fresh water. Culinary moments come effortlessly with a two-burner Miele electric barbeque grill, and thoughtful covers protect all exterior cushions, chairs, and the console. An integrated auto-rotation 2500 lb. davit with tender-lift controls stands ready beside a 15-foot Novurania hard-bottom, center-console tender powered by a 90 horsepower Yamaha four-stroke outboard, the outboard new in 2007. Comfort and convenience continue with a cold shower, an electric bilge pump panel with cover, an eight-person Zodiac SOLAS-equipped life raft, and an HCR-406 EPIRB, while a full-sized Jacuzzi hot tub with outboard seating turns sunsets into private spa sessions.
At the upper helm, comprehensive electronics ensure command with confidence: a JVC 12-disc CD changer with AM/FM stereo sets the soundtrack; a Garmin 5208 GPS/Plotter new in 2014 partners with a Simrad 48 Mile radar for precise navigation; two ACR/RCL 100 remote spot lights sharpen night operations; a Furuno Ed-2200 Digital Depth Sounder works alongside a separate depth finder; a Simrad AP20 autopilot, a Link Multi Speed & Distance Log, and a Furuno flat-screen monitor for Nobeltec and Weather Channel data keep information at your fingertips; and a Garmin VHF radio new in 2014 supplements the standard VHF. Latham Marine electric controls deliver crisp response, TRAC stabilizer controls—paired with TRAC stabilizers new in 2008—enhance the ride, and Wesmar 50 HP hydraulic bow thruster controls add precision in close quarters. Completing the safety and signaling suite are a 24 volt anchor light and a four-trumpet air horn.
Electronics and navigational equipment
A comprehensive suite of electronics elevates confidence and control, beginning with TRAC digital stabilizers installed new in 2008, Westmar 50HP hydraulic bow thruster controls, and an ISIS computer system that monitors all major ship’s functions, updated with new screens in 2009. Entertainment and communications are equally well served by KVH SAT TV with nine receivers new in 2011, a Panasonic hybrid phone system, and a KVH Trace SAT phone and fax. Navigation and situational awareness are delivered by a 96-mile Simrad radar with ARPA function, a Northstar 6001 GPS plotter, a Simrad plotter with Noble Tech software new in 2009, a Simrad 10 full function slave monitor new in 2009, and a Simrad Laser Plot sensor mouse, complemented by a Furuno NX 500 Nav Tec weather receiver, a Furuno depth indicator, and a Furuno LCD depth sounder. Seamless shipwide communication and control are ensured by a Shipmate RS 8300 VHF, an ICOM M 71C SSB radio, and a Robertson AP20 autopilot, while comprehensive alarms safeguard engines, reduction gear, bilges, generators, and fire; a loud hailer and an EPIRB round out the safety suite.
Engine room
Spanning the full beam, this stand-up engine room centers on twin MTU DDC 12V2000 engines, served by dual Racor fuel filters for the mains with vacuum gauges and single Racor filters for the generators, complemented by a dedicated fuel priming system and an oil-change system for both engines and generators. Safety is assured by a Sea-Fire FM-200 fire suppression system, while a robust exhaust and ventilation system maintains optimal conditions. Shore power management is streamlined by two Glendinning cable masters, and professional-grade serviceability comes from a proper workbench, compressed air and fresh water service, a Craftsman toolbox with tools, and durable DynaPlate aluminum decking underfoot. Comfort and reliability are enhanced by TRAC digital stabilizers installed new in 2008 and a fuel polisher/spinner installed new in 2008, while a Sea Recovery Aqua Whisper watermaker delivers 1,500 gpd with 320 hours of use. Engine management is straightforward with an electrical and mechanical stop/start panel featuring full manual gauge packages, and freshwater delivery is ensured by two AC fresh-water pumps from Headhunter. A prop puller, PTOs on both mains for the thruster and anchor windlass, and engine-driven bilge pumps off either main engine add true working-yacht capability. Everyday convenience and monitoring are bolstered by four 110-volt electrical outlets, a closed-circuit TV monitoring camera, overhead fishing-rod retainers, and emergency engine-room access aft and outboard of the port engine.
Fore deck
Polished stainless steel bow rails trace the fore deck above secure bulwarks, while freeing ports at the forward quarters and amidships ensure confident drainage and a drier ride. A fresh water washdown and convenient dockside fresh water hookup streamline upkeep, and soft, continuous lighting runs along all sides of the decks and the bow for elegant visibility. A classic ship’s bell with rope adds a timeless nautical touch. Forward, an exceptionally large stowage area within the bow locker integrates built-in bow seating and a generous sun pad, neatly accommodating shore cords, fenders, lines, cleaning supplies, a spare anchor, and bow cushions. The entire area benefits from extensive Awlgrip paintwork completed in 2000 and again in 2014.
Sportdeck
A broad teak swim platform sets the tone for effortless days on the water, served by port and starboard teak stairwells for easy boarding. Hoop rails and mooring cleats secure the tender, while a centrally located watertight transom door provides direct entry to the lazarette and engine room. Flanking this door to port and starboard, two hydraulically activated pods accommodate two SeaDoo GS wave runners, poised for swift deployment. Thoughtful storage lies beneath the swim platform, reached via opening stairs at the entrance to the lazarette and offering convenient access to the rudder assemblies. Just outboard of the port SeaDoo, a Brownies Dive Compressor showing only four hours of use is neatly installed, complete with storage racks for four tanks.
Aft deck
Boarding is effortless via side gates to port and starboard, complemented by Marquipt Tide Ride stairs that meet the dock with poise. Underfoot, rich teak decking sets a luxurious tone, centered around a large oval varnished teak table accompanied by four wicker chairs for relaxed alfresco dining. Overhead, stereo speakers integrated into the hardtop provide a refined soundtrack, while a refrigerator and ice maker combination keeps refreshments chilled. After a swim, a fresh-water hot and cold shower with washdown offers welcome convenience. A stainless ladder with teak steps leads to the flybridge, and for precise close-quarters maneuvering, full engine and bow thruster control stations are fitted to port and starboard, discreetly concealed within the pilasters.
