Overview

From Madeira to Mexico, the Bahamas and across the East Coast, the 75’ Merritt Wish You Were Here showcases a formidable sportfishing pedigree, consistently raising billfish. Extensively traveled, she presents a distinctive interior with an expansive salon and a generous master stateroom delivering unmatched owner comfort. A large, custom sportfish, she is at home tournament fishing and cruising, offering bluewater capability and fun.

Detailed Description

Salon

Enter a massive salon where a U-shaped leather settee with generous under-seat storage to port anchors the space and invites relaxed gatherings. A large custom Merritt coffee table, crowned with a stone top inlaid with fossilized fish skeletons, lends a uniquely curated touch. To starboard, two leather chairs with a refined center table create a comfortable conversational nook. Rich teak valances frame the windows, complemented by curtains that soften natural light, while an LED TV delivers easy entertainment. Underfoot, new carpet with plush padding is protected by a fitted carpet runner, preserving the deck’s fresh appeal. Practical luxury abounds with an ice machine at the ready and a Marine Electric Door providing effortless access between salon and cockpit.

Galley

Positioned to port, the galley showcases stone countertops framed by a teak searail, concealing a four-burner cooktop beneath the surface and complemented by a Wolf oven. Cold storage is exceptional with a Merritt Custom large stainless-lined refrigerator and a matching Merritt Custom large stainless-lined freezer, joined by a dedicated wine cooler and an ice maker. A convection microwave oven and an exhaust vent streamline preparation, while twin stainless sinks with a garbage disposal enhance clean-up. Thoughtful organization defines the space with pull-out and shelf storage throughout the forward galley and custom secure pot, pan, and dish racks, all set over a teak sole with a pump room access hatch.

Companionway

The companionway showcases refined wall panels and a bound companionway carpet designed for easy access to under-deck storage. Utility meets elegance with stackable laundry appliances and dedicated storage with shelving. This central passageway provides direct access to the crew stateroom and connects seamlessly to the owners and guest staterooms.

Master stateroom

The extra-large master stateroom is positioned forward and appointed with a private ensuite head. A queen berth set athwartships features an upholstered headboard and generous storage beneath, flanked by twin end tables with drawer storage and crowned by twin pilasters that provide additional storage above. A cedar-lined hanging closet complements a teak vanity with integrated drawer storage, while reading lights and an overhead hatch introduce both ambience and natural ventilation. Entertainment is close at hand with a flatscreen TV.

Master stateroom head

A mirrored upper vanity with shelf storage crowns a stone countertop fitted with overmount his-and-hers sinks, while a teak vanity below provides drawers and additional shelf storage. The space is appointed with an electric head, a teak sole, and an oversize stall shower, creating a refined and highly functional retreat.

Vip stateroom

Designed for comfort and privacy, the VIP stateroom features twin berths with storage beneath, separated by a large cedar-lined hanging locker. A full-length standing cedar-lined closet offers generous wardrobe space, while reading lights and electrical outlets are thoughtfully positioned for convenience. LED lighting sets a refined ambiance, and a large access hatch beneath the carpet leads to an additional storage area. Guests enjoy direct access to the ensuite head, with AC control for personalized climate and a TV for onboard entertainment.

VIP stateroom port head

Accessed directly from the VIP stateroom as well as the companionway, this port head blends elegance and utility with a mirrored vanity above and a rich teak vanity below, featuring drawers and shelf storage neatly arranged beneath the overmount sink. A large shower offers generous space for an invigorating rinse, while a dedicated linen closet keeps towels and essentials perfectly organized.

Starboard crew stateroom

The starboard crew stateroom offers twin upper and lower bunks complemented by reading lights at both bunks, creating a comfortable retreat for off-watch rest. The lower bunk incorporates two drawers below for tidy, accessible storage, while an individual A/C control ensures personalized climate comfort. A private entrance to the engine room provides direct, efficient access for seamless service.

Crew day head to starboard

To starboard, the crew day head is thoughtfully appointed with an overmount sink and a fully enclosed stall shower, complemented by an electric head with convenient linen storage above, all set atop a warm teak sole for a refined, durable finish.

Cockpit

Designed for both serious sportfishing and refined relaxation, the cockpit showcases mezzanine seating set against a varnished teak bulkhead, with engine room access close at hand. Storage and cold capacity are abundant with two refrigerated drink boxes and two stainless-lined freezers, while a stainless bridge ladder with teak steps provides secure movement between decks. Purpose-built angling amenities include port and starboard live baitwells, port and starboard under gunnel storage lockers, a Merritt transom tuna door, Merritt transom corner hawse pipes, a rocket launcher with an offset stanchion, dredge rod holders on the tower legs, and two Frigibar ice machines to keep the day’s catch perfectly chilled. Practical details elevate every outing, from port and starboard shore power inlets and teak coaming to overhead and indirect lighting, canvas and clear Eisenglas cockpit wings, a cockpit cover, and a cockpit fly cover with stainless poles, all complemented by an air compressor quick disconnect for added versatility.

Flybridge

Accessed via a portside ladder, the flybridge is anchored by a centerline helm with a teak pod and console featuring single-lever controls that have been carefully stripped and refinished. The teak cap rail has been redone, and the forward seats are accented by teak seat rails, while three Merritt helm chairs with teak backs and armrests provide refined command seating. A five-rod holder array spans the aft bridge rail, and an electronics electrical panel is positioned to port of the helm. Entertainment and communication are seamlessly integrated through an audio system, a VHF remote speaker set into the hardtop, and overhead lights within the hardtop. Forward of the helm, generous seating with a table creates a welcoming gathering area, complemented by storage below and large access to the space beneath the helm; an L-shaped seating area adds further comfort with additional storage beneath and convenient access to brow storage. A refrigerated drink box keeps refreshments perfectly chilled, while safety is elevated with a bilge pump and a high-water alarm providing audible and visual warnings. Protection is ensured by a new three-sided enclosure fitted in fall 2025, and the bridge is fully tournament-ready with teaser reels.

Electronics

Command and control are centered around four monitors with a KEP monitor controller, orchestrating a seamless helm that unites the Furuno TZ Touch navigation system with a Garmin black box navigation system. Long-range awareness is delivered by a Furuno 72-mile radar, while subsurface intelligence comes from the Furuno CH8 omni sonar and Furuno CHIRP echosounder. Confident passage-making is enhanced by the Simrad AP50 autopilot system and the FLIR M364C night vision system. Redundant charting power includes two Garmin GPSMAP 8700 black box navigation systems complemented by a Garmin GPSMAP8612 12-inch tower MFD. Clear communication is ensured by two Icom M510 black box VHF radios, always-on connectivity is provided by the Starlink HP antenna system, and entertainment is elevated by a Fusion stereo flybridge and cockpit system with JL Audio speakers and amplifiers.

Deck and hull

Finished in Matterhorn white along the topsides and hull, the profile is refined by a teak toe rail with a half-round eyebrow and a rich teak transom, while the bow gear features an anchor windlass with a stainless chute leading to a stainless anchor with rode and chain. Offshore prowess is elevated by a full tuna tower capped with a molded hardtop, complemented by Rupp hydraulic four-spreader riggers and a Rupp center rigger. Underway, poise and stability are assured by three SeaKeeper 9 units.

Pump room, forward of engine room

Positioned forward of the engine room, the pump room is meticulously organized and outfitted with a Spot Zero Watermaker, AC and DC lighting, AC Raw Water pumps, a dedicated fire system, an air compressor, and the Headhunter Mach V house water pump, all arranged for optimal access, safety, and dependable operation.

Engine room

The meticulously organized engine room showcases twin MTU 16V2000 M90 engines delivering commanding propulsion, partnered by twin Kilo Pak 40 kW generators for robust, redundant shipboard power. Serviceability is elevated by an oil change system, remote mounted fuel and oil filters, port and starboard fuel prime pumps, and dual Racor 1000s for each engine complemented by a single Racor 1000 for each generator. Electrical resilience includes battery chargers, battery on/off switches, and both AC and DC lighting, while onboard utilities are supported by an air compressor and a single Mach V freshwater pump with a backup 24 V pump in-line. Climate control is assured by a chilled water A/C system and a thermostat-controlled blower system, and monitoring is precise with the MTU Manual gauge package. Underway confidence comes from dripless shaft seals with spares and a fully integrated fire system for safety.
