Overview
ABOAT TIME is a 2013 Ocean Alexander 90 Skylounge motor yacht, penned by Evan K. Marshall and celebrated for delivering the space, engineering, and quality of a larger vessel. Fastidiously cared for by seasoned owners, she has completed a comprehensive yard period prompted by her January 2026 pre-purchase survey, with every recommendation executed, encompassing running-gear service, antifouling and Prop Speed, TRAC stabilizer and ABT bow/stern thruster service, new engine start batteries, plus substantial electronics and interior refinements. With full service records and turnkey condition, ABOAT TIME is ready for her next owner.
Detailed Description
Overview
ABOAT TIME, hull number 90-009, was delivered in 2013 as one of Evan K. Marshall’s most successful designs for Ocean Alexander—a 90-foot sky lounge motoryacht with the volume, systems, and finish of a much larger vessel. Formerly CLAYPEN, she has enjoyed attentive private ownership from launch, and her current owner has continued that custodianship without compromise. Following a January 2026 pre-purchase survey, she proceeded directly into a comprehensive 2025/2026 yard period that addressed every recommendation and more: shafts were pulled and reconditioned, new shaft seals installed, three coats of fresh antifouling paint applied with Prop Speed on the running gear, the five-year service completed on the TRAC stabilizers and ABT thrusters, new main engine start batteries fitted, and numerous electronics and interior upgrades executed. Those who inspect her will find complete service records and a yacht genuinely ready to go.
Propulsion is by twin MTU 12V 2000 M94 diesel engines, 1,920 hp each, with the two-thousand-hour service completed. For confident handling and exceptional comfort at rest and underway, she is equipped with ABT-TRAC zero-speed stabilizers plus bow and stern thrusters. The full-beam master suite offers his-and-hers heads with a glass-enclosed shower, while the enclosed, air-conditioned sky lounge includes a day head and three Stidd helm chairs. This comprehensive 2025/2026 yard period encompassed running gear, hydraulics, bottom paint, batteries, and electronics, and complete engine, generator, and maintenance records are available.
Accommodations
The layout is the classic Marshall arrangement, crowned by an enclosed sky lounge that brings together the helm, a convivial dinette, a well-appointed wet bar, and a convenient day head. On the main deck, a walnut-paneled salon flows into a welcoming country-kitchen galley, while below, three ensuite staterooms await. The full-beam amidships master features a king island berth, his-and-hers heads divided by a glass-enclosed shower, and heated marble floors. A queen VIP stateroom lies forward and a queen guest stateroom sits to port, each with its own private ensuite head.
Aft, the crew quarters comprise a captain’s cabin and a crew cabin with a Pullman berth, enhanced by an additional crew bunk added in 2024, along with a shared head with shower and a practical kitchenette. Access is through a watertight transom door to keep crew and guest circulation completely separate. For added flexibility, the galley dinette also converts into an additional berth.
Master stateroom
Commanding the full beam amidship, the master stateroom centers on a “floating” king island berth crowned by a custom headboard with refined indirect lighting. His-and-hers ensuite heads are thoughtfully divided by a clear glass shower enclosure clad in marble, with a heated marble floor for spa-like comfort. A new Tecma E-Breeze toilet and bidet, installed in June 2026, elevate convenience and hygiene. Storage is abundant with twin cedar-lined, full-height hanging lockers featuring automatic lighting and a concealed safe. Fixed hull-side windows bathe the space in natural light, while granite and marble tops grace the nightstands and AV cabinetry. For entertainment, a 42-inch TV pairs with a dedicated AV system and subwoofer to create an immersive private cinema.
Vip and guest staterooms
The forward VIP stateroom features a queen island berth, a private ensuite head, and generous under-berth luggage storage, while the port guest stateroom mirrors this arrangement with a queen island berth, a private ensuite head, and twin nightstands. Rich walnut paneling and cedar-lined hanging lockers are carried throughout, and the VIP and port guest ensuite heads are appointed with heated marble floors for indulgent comfort. Each stateroom is equipped with a flat-screen TV and a Blu-ray player.
Galley and salon
At the heart of the yacht, a welcoming country-kitchen galley showcases granite countertops and a marble sole, anchored by a forward dinette that converts into a berth. Professional-grade appliances include a Sub-Zero refrigerator/freezer, Gaggenau oven, GE cooktop, JennAir convection microwave, Fisher & Paykel dishwasher, and a dedicated trash compactor. Flowing aft, the walnut-paneled salon with custom mullions is crowned by a crystal chandelier and complemented by a Sub-Zero wine cooler and freezer drawers, while a 50-inch salon TV pairs with a professional AV rack for cinema-quality entertainment. Electric stainless-steel sliding doors open to the aft deck, and convenience continues with a day head off the sky lounge, while in the lower foyer a washer/dryer, refrigerator, and icemaker stand ready to serve.
Sky lounge and boat deck
A fully enclosed, air-conditioned sky lounge crowns the yacht, appointed with three electric Stidd Admiral helm seats, a generous U-shaped dinette, and a sleek wet bar featuring a Sub-Zero wine cooler, all complemented by a convenient day head and a 42" TV. Aft, the expansive boat deck continues the entertainment theme with a second wet bar, an Electri-Chef electric barbecue, and a 1,750 lb hydraulic davit crane, with full crane service completed in 2025. Fresh exterior teak furniture installed in 2024 and refinished in 2025 pairs with a manual awning to create flexible sun and shade, while the bow and bridge cushions were fully reupholstered in Sunbrella® in May 2026.
Hull and deck equipment
The yacht’s carbon fiber–infused composite hull, engineered with an Airex PVC foam sandwich above the waterline, is finished in Alexseal White T9130 in lieu of gelcoat and punctuated by sleek frameless windows. Teak enriches the aft deck, side decks, bridge deck, and the swim platform, where a fold-down swim ladder provides effortless access to the water. Safe movement around the vessel is ensured by high bulwarks with side boarding gates, complemented by stainless-steel transom gates and a watertight transom door that leads directly to the crew quarters and engine room. At the bow, a Maxwell VWC 4000 hydraulic windlass with chain counter manages a 350-pound stainless plow anchor and 300 feet of 1/2-inch chain, while aft, twin Maxwell VC 2500 electric warping winches partner with an aft deck docking station for precise, confident handling. Nighttime ambiance and visibility are elevated by four underwater lights and POCO full‑spectrum courtesy lighting installed in 2024. Practical refinements include new tender chocks added in 2026 and a recessed starboard boarding ladder for discreet, secure embarkation.
Machinery and electrical
Propulsion is delivered by twin MTU 12V 2000 M94 diesels, 1,920 hp each, showing 2,408 hours port and 2,399 hours starboard as of April 2026. The MTU 2,000-hour major service was completed in September 2023, and the Vulkan couplings were replaced in January 2024. In April 2026 new hand-priming pumps, Racors, and fuel filters were fitted, followed by four new Odyssey AGM start batteries in May 2026. In March 2026 the shafts were removed, straightened, and reconditioned with new seals, while the props were balanced and treated with Mussel Buster protection and Prop Speed. Auxiliary power comes from two Kohler 55EOZD generators showing 2,611 hours port and 2,628 hours starboard as of May 2026; the port generator’s turbocharger, heat exchanger, and rear main seal were serviced in 2025, and new generator batteries were installed in October 2025.
Stabilization is via ABT-TRAC zero-speed stabilizers that received a complete 5-year/2,000-hour service in March 2026, complemented by bow and stern thrusters whose 5-year/2,000-hour and central hydraulics services were also completed in March 2026. The bottom was refreshed with three coats of Seahawk CuKote antifouling paint in March 2026. Electrical management is handled by an Octoplex NMEA 2000 digital switching system with vessel monitoring and load shedding. Climate control is assured by chilled-water air conditioning with three 144,000 BTU chillers, with the Chiller 1 control board and raw water impeller replaced in April 2026, plus a dedicated engine room AC. Freshwater independence is delivered by a Sea Recovery 1,400 GPD watermaker with freshwater flush and remote operation, while a Headhunter MSD waste treatment system and a Gulfcoast fuel polishing system enhance onboard autonomy. An ElectroSea CLEARLINE electrochlorination system benefits from a new cylinder housing installed in February 2026. Shore connectivity includes dual 100A service with a 115' Cablemaster and Isoboost, and safety is reinforced by Fireboy suppression with engine shutdown. An extensive spare parts inventory is included.
Electronics and navigation
At the helm and in the salon, Garmin touchscreen GPS/MFDs installed in 2025 anchor a seamlessly integrated suite, joined by an Airmar WS-200WX weather station, Garmin GC14 engine room cameras, and autopilot control integrated with the Garmin MFD (May 2026). Long-range awareness comes from a Furuno six-kilowatt open-array radar, while Class B AIS and a digital sounder deliver precise traffic and depth data. A Simrad autopilot works alongside ICOM VHF radios and Maretron NMEA 2000 monitoring displays to provide confident command and real-time vessel intelligence. For connectivity and entertainment, a five-camera remote viewing system (2025), KVH satellite TV, and Starlink with WiFi mesh (2024) keep you informed and online, and a Control4 AV system updated to the current version (June 2026) orchestrates media throughout the yacht. Completing the package, an ACR remote searchlight and a Kahlenberg triple horn stand ready for clear signaling and night operations.
Recent service and upgrade summary
Comprehensive, itemized service records for the main engines, generators, and all vessel systems from 2023 through June 2026 are available for review, underscoring a proactive maintenance program that includes the MTU 2,000-hour service completed in September 2023, a Vulkan coupling replacement in January 2024, and a full spring 2026 yard period at Rybovich addressing running gear, hydraulics, stabilizers, thrusters, bottom paint, batteries, and electronics.
Exclusions
The owner's personal gear, a Spotfree water conditioner, two shore plug Y adapters, and the tender are excluded from the sale; however, all of these items remain negotiable.
Broker remarks
There is no shortage of ninety-footers on the market, yet few present with a January 2026 AMS survey, a fresh haul-out, and a comprehensive paid invoice trail covering every system on board. ABOAT TIME’s owner deferred nothing: the survey findings went straight to the yard, and the stabilizers, thrusters, running gear, and generators all carry recent major services. With three true ensuite staterooms, separated crew quarters, and a proper enclosed sky lounge, she stands as the most cruise-ready Ocean Alexander 90 available. She shows beautifully, runs impeccably, and the records substantiate it all. Inspect with confidence.
