Overview

Built by Sanlorenzo Yachts and delivered in 2006, M/Y KOKO has spent much of her life cruising the Caribbean under the diligent care of her Captain and crew. Her accommodation plan offers four staterooms for eight guests plus a dedicated crew cabin for two, while a modern, elegant interior exudes a relaxed, contemporary calm. Power comes from twin MTU 10V2000 M92 diesel engines supported by two Kohler 20 kW generators, and the exterior invites open-air living with a spacious sun deck perfectly suited to alfresco dining and leisurely lounging. Thoughtful design touches, including ample storage, panoramic windows, and generous interior and exterior volumes, underscore her effortless comfort underway and at anchor.

Mechanical equipment

Performance is delivered by twin MTU 10V 2000 M92 main engines rated at 1350 hp, showing 1423 hours to port and 1428 hours to starboard, with 1000-hour service completed in July 2022. Power is transmitted through ZF gearboxes with cardan shafts and V-drives, complemented by ZF 2050 V reversing gears. Ship’s power is provided by Kohler 20 kW – 20 EFOZD generators, with hours at 4264 (port) and 4402 (starboard) and 250-hour service performed in December 2022. Ground tackle and handling are assured by a Lofrans 2500 W 24 V windlass and Lofrans capstan winches at 1200 W 24 V. The vessel features a hydraulic steering pump system, and hydraulic pump systems serving both the passarelle and trim tabs. Climate control is robust, via a Chiller Organizer 2 air-conditioning plant rated at 90,000 BTU, comprising three chiller units with individual air handlers and a total of twelve individual air handlers distributed throughout the yacht.

Deck equipment

Tender handling is effortless thanks to a Besenzoni davit with a 600 kg capacity, providing confident, quiet lifting for toys and gear while preserving the clean, open character of the exterior decks.

Electrical

The yacht’s electrical backbone is organized around a B&B electrical board, with a PLC-operated system by Sea Energy managing both 220 V and 24 V distribution for reliable, intelligent power control underway and at the dock.

Galley and laundry equipment

The galley is comprehensively appointed with a Miele dishwasher, a Miele fridge/freezer, and a Miele oven/microwave, combining culinary capability with refined design. Practicality continues below decks with a Samsung washing machine and Samsung dryer in the dedicated laundry, ensuring effortless turnarounds between voyages.

From the wheelhouse, command is precise and intuitive with a Garmin GPSMAP 8215 display paired to a Simrad GO12 XSE display, Simrad AP 44 autohelm, Simrad IS42, a Simrad RS20 VHF DSC radio, and an ACR emergency VHF SR203. Augmenting situational awareness and autonomy, the yacht is equipped with a Simrad forward-looking sonar depthsounder, a Garmin GMR18HD radar, and an Idromar Mini Compact Junior watermaker with 3 membranes, while emergency readiness is enhanced by Gianneschi fire pumps along with both a 220 V water pump and a 24 V water pump.

Entertainment equipment

Onboard entertainment is immersive and effortless, with 4 x 35-inch Samsung TVs serving each living space, a Plex server whose hard drive is filled with new and classic movies, and a refined sound system that includes a Sonos sound system for rich, multi-zone audio throughout.

Tender

Rounding out the package, shore power interfaces seamlessly with an agile Highfield console DL420 tender powered by a 60 HP High Thrust Yamaha showing 130 hours, while Atlas 50/60 Hz 380/400 V transformers ensure smooth electrical compatibility wherever you roam.

Recent maintenance and upgrades

Meticulous recent care includes full servicing of the main engines and generators; removal and rebuild of the bow thruster; the davit serviced; a comprehensive air-conditioning rebuild with a new air handler installed in the wheelhouse; new carpeting and underlay throughout the vessel; a new oven in the galley; a rebuilt windlass; the hull bottom sanded and antifouled; propellers checked; PropSpeed finish applied to the running gear; trim tab hydraulics and indicators rebuilt; new zincs; new automatic blinds in the main salon; a full polish and wax of the house and hull; and teak cap rails refinished with Semco.
