Standard options

Crafted with unwavering attention to strength and finish, the construction features hand-laid GRP with a gelcoat finish including stripes, a vinylester skin coat with powderbound mat, and a stitched multi-axial reinforced single-skin bottom. The hull’s topsides are balsa-cored for rigidity and weight savings, while the deck and superstructure are cored in PVC foam. Structural integrity is assured by longitudinal stringers supported by transverse bulkheads and floors that stiffen the hull throughout.

On deck, every fitting is stainless steel, from the pair of bow cleats and fairleads to the pair of midships cleats with chafing bars and the pair of stern cleats and fairleads, complemented by pulpit and cockpit rails. A vinylester skin coat with rubber insert enhances durability, while a stainless steel bow roller with anchor stop and a stainless steel bow plate frame the ground tackle. Engine room & mechanical

In the engine room compartment and ancillaries, reliability is engineered in with separate fuel filters fitted with water alarms, an automatic fire extinguisher, and automatic bilge pumps in each watertight compartment. Additional security comes from automatic flood pumps in the forward bilge and engine room, two extractor fans that keep air turnover brisk, and a manual bilge pump as a final layer of redundancy.

The electrical system is equally robust, centered on Kohler generators and a 100 amp shore power cord fed through a galvanic isolator. A comprehensive 24 V and 12 V DC electrical architecture is supported by six 24 V engine batteries, eight 24 V domestic batteries, and four 12 V generator batteries, all managed by an alternator split-charging system with remote battery switches in the cockpit. Battery charters ensure optimal charge maintenance, and comfort is sustained by two water heaters.

Underwater gear is specified for performance and durability: five-blade nibral bronze propellers swing on stainless steel Temet 25 shafts with dripless shaft logs, while bronze P-brackets, high-performance bronze rudders and struts, and seawater strainers for the main engines and generators underscore reliability. All underwater fittings are protected by seacocks and a full cathodic bonding system to zinc anodes. Maneuverability comes courtesy of hydraulic bow and stern thrusters and hydraulic trim tabs.

Vital onboard systems include a hydraulic power steering engine drive pump and Tecma toilets with discharge selectable either overboard or to a black-water tank. The black waste water tank can discharge dockside or overboard via a macerator pump, while sinks, showers, and air-conditioning drip pans drain to a grey-waste sump with overboard discharge. Freshwater service is assured by a tank with an electric sending unit, a 24 V DC freshwater pressure system, and a hot-water circulating pump feeding a 52 gal hot-water heater. Climate is mastered by a chilled-water air-conditioning system.

Updates & highlights

Thoughtful upgrades underscore diligent ownership: a Managerm waste treatment system was added in 2019, followed in 2020 by Garmin chartplotters at both the upper and lower helms and a replacement of the air-conditioning chiller. Major machinery care continued with a CAT engine three-thousand-hour service completed in March 2024, while the hoses and fittings serving the hydraulic swim platform and passarelle were renewed in August 2023. During a yard period at Bradford Marine in Ft. Lauderdale in March 2024, the bottom received fresh paint, PropSpeed was applied, underwater lights were repaired, and comprehensive service was performed on the swim platform and hydraulic reservoir, trim tabs, and the bow and stern thrusters, among other items. Many other updates and upgrades have been completed since the current owner’s acquisition in 2019.
