Recent updates and services

With meticulous care and significant investment, the yacht has benefited from a comprehensive program of mechanical, electrical, comfort, and cosmetic enhancements. At the heart of the vessel, the port and starboard main engines received new raw-water pumps, new fuel injectors with updated ECUs, and a full 2,000-hour service. Exhaust blankets were renewed on both mains, the bellows O-rings on the inboard and outboard sides of the starboard main were replaced, and the inboard port main gained a new exhaust elbow and bellows while the outboard port main received a new exhaust bellows. Both engine dampers were resealed, the starboard main’s alternator drive seal was replaced, the port main was fitted with seven new fuel injector lines, and the starboard main received a new high-pressure fuel pump. Coolant and filters were renewed on both mains, while oil plus oil, fuel, and crankcase filters were changed at 300-hour intervals from 2014 through 2021. Saltwater intake hoses were replaced on both mains, both propeller shafts were renewed together with shaft log seals and shaft bearings, both propellers were reconditioned and later replaced, air filters on both mains were changed annually, and the starboard main received a new starter.

Both generators benefited from new saltwater pumps and stainless-steel exhaust tubes, with a new exhaust elbow fitted on the port generator and a new circulation pump and starter installed on the starboard generator. Coolant was replaced on both units, air filters were renewed annually from 2014 to 2021, and crankcase filters were changed both at 200-hour intervals and yearly over the same period. Oil, plus oil and fuel filters, zincs, and raw-water impellers were serviced at 200-hour intervals from 2014 through 2021. Raycor filters were replaced on both generators, and the fuel tank inspection plate was carefully resealed.

The DC electrical system saw all batteries replaced in 2014, 2017, and 2020, complemented by new 12-volt and 24-volt battery chargers and a new voltage-sensing relay. On the AC side, a new 100-foot power cord was fitted and converted to a US-style end, a new 110-volt power inverter was installed, and the hot-water tank heating elements were replaced. The ASEA power converter was comprehensively refreshed with four new modules along with new control PC, auxiliary power PC, and start PC boards.

Fresh-water reliability was enhanced with a new hot-water recirculation pump and new check valves for the hot-water tanks. Climate control was elevated by replacing all three chiller units, fitting a new saltwater pump, renewing all saltwater hoses, and installing new saltwater manifolds for the chillers. A dedicated recirculation cleaning system was added for saltwater cooling, the chilled-water circulation pump was rebuilt, and a new saltwater pump control board was installed. Three new frequency drives were fitted for the chillers, the PC control board for the helm air handler and the VIP stateroom was replaced, the Lower Saloon air handler received a new fan, and the through-hull valve serving the chiller saltwater cooling circuit was replaced.

Electronics and navigation were modernized with the addition of a personal computer and Nobeltech navigation software. The radar and chart plotter were upgraded with Furuno units, the autopilot was updated to a Simrad AP70, the VHF radio to a Simrad RS90, and the AIS to a Furuno FA50. The IS15 depth sounder received a new transducer, the IS15 transceiver was replaced, and an additional transducer was added for Furuno depth. Three dashboard glass monitors were renewed, XM radio was added, the CCTV DVR was replaced, and the KVH TV antenna system was updated. Entertainment was expanded with seven new Direct TV receivers, and the remote control for the garage door and swim platform was replaced.

Galley and bar conveniences were refreshed with new forward and after drink cooler units and a new ice maker. Interior ambiance was uplifted by new rope lighting in the master stateroom and both the upper and lower saloons, an investment of $24,000 in new blinds throughout the vessel, a new trash disposal unit, and a new range hood. Exterior refinements include a new sunroof actuating motor, new engine-room air-intake de-misters, and renewed spa pump, filter, and heater, together with new drivers, LED deck, and roof lights. Comfort on deck is enhanced by all-new cushion foam, all-new cushions, and all-new cushion covers, complemented by new awning canvas. Both port and starboard windlasses were reconditioned, deck switches for the after winches were replaced, and the passerelle received a new PC control board and new hydraulic hoses.

All teak decking on the main deck, cockpit steps, and bathing platform was replaced to present a crisp, uniform finish underfoot. Below the waterline, annual bottom paint and zincs were carried out from 2014 through 2020. In 2018, all bottom paint was removed and an epoxy barrier coat was applied before fresh paint and new zincs were fitted. Underwater lights were upgraded to LED, the boot stripe was repainted, and the stern thruster mounting was removed and recaulked, ensuring enduring performance and a refined, turnkey presentation.

Superstructure
