Overview

Motor yacht SEQUEL measures 50ft / 15.24m and is a luxury cruising yacht offered for sale, crafted and launched by renowned builder Symbol Yachts. Handed over to a discerning owner in 2000, she hosts up to 4 guests in 2 staterooms, plus sleeping space for 2 more on salon pull-out sofa.

Detailed Description

Overview

SEQUEL is maintained in turnkey condition for ready, on-demand yachting, carrying owners and guests to every destination in Safety, Style, and Comfort. Its highlights form a comprehensive catalog that embraces design, function, layout, performance, reliability, and safety, while a welcoming, comfortable floor plan delivers volumes of space and natural light typically seen in larger yachts. The main deck presents an open salon, galley, and pilothouse that flow together effortlessly. Forward below, the accommodations include a full-beam midship master stateroom with a private ensuite head and shower, and a VIP stateroom with a head and separate shower stall. The spacious flybridge is reached from the pilothouse via a stairway and a stainless-steel and glass latching hatch; up top, the upper helm features two helm chairs and upholstered settee seating protected by a custom full enclosure. For added adventure, SEQUEL carries an Avon center-console twelve-foot tender powered by a 40 hp Yamaha outboard engine. Altogether, SEQUEL is a fabulous family yacht for owner-operators.

Key features

Propulsion is delivered by twin Cummins 6CTA 8.3 M3 450HP marine diesel engines turning through ZF IRM 301A marine gears with electronic helm controls, while bow and stern thrusters and a custom flybridge enclosure elevate maneuverability and all-weather confidence. Electrical autonomy comes from a Northern Lights 16KW generator supported by an inverter system, with a full suite of Furuno and Simrad marine electronics and an Ocean PC running Coastal Explorer navigation software for precise passage-making. Living spaces impress with a full-beam midship Master Stateroom with ensuite head and shower, a VIP stateroom with an island bed and a head with stall shower, and a fully equipped U-shaped galley finished with custom solid surface countertops. On deck, a Nick Jackson power rotation davit services an Avon 12’ tender powered by a 40HP Yamaha outboard, while a Webasto Hydronic Diesel furnace ensures cozy comfort in cooler climates.

Salon

Welcoming and open, the salon flows from the aft cockpit entrance forward to the pilothouse helm area, framed by dual sliding, locking framed glass entry doors fitted with Phantom entry door screens. Large opening port and starboard windows with screens bathe the space in light, while Hunter Douglas Duette Honeycomb Shades with manual adjustment provide effortless control of privacy and glare. Satin-finish teak cabinetry and wall panels are complemented by burl countertops, anchoring a TV entertainment center with a Samsung TV and storage below, supported by a TracVision Sat TV system. Climate comfort is assured by a diesel system zone control with thermostat and a dedicated heat outlet, while a custom leather sleeper sofa and two portside chairs invite relaxed gatherings. Underfoot, carpeted flooring softens the ambiance beneath a custom headliner, with 120VAC outlets thoughtfully positioned for convenience. Illumination comes from LED overhead lighting and LED indirect border rope lighting, and steps to the pilothouse, highlighted by courtesy lighting, complete the seamless transition forward.

Galley

Forward and to port, adjacent to the salon, the feature-rich galley is bathed in natural light from a large opening window in front of the sink with a screen, combining generous storage with expansive meal-prep and serving surfaces to create an inviting social hub. An open design anchored by a wide meal-prep counter and serving bar is elevated by custom solid-surface countertops with accent inlay edges, satin-finish teak cabinetry with ample drawer storage and matching wall panels, and classic teak and holly flooring, all set beneath a custom headliner. Practicality meets polish with dual undercounter sinks served by a GROHE chrome-finished single-lever faucet with pullout sprayer and a Kenmore garbage disposal, while 120VAC GFCI outlets, LED overhead lighting, and LED indirect border lighting ensure convenience and ambiance.

A full suite of premium appliances includes a Sharp Carousel convection microwave oven, a Kenmore refrigerator with freezer, a Gaggeau four-burner electric cooktop paired with a Bosch electric oven, a Frigidaire dishwasher, and a Broan trash compactor. Coffee aficionados will appreciate the Cuisinart coffee burr grinder and automatic brew system, and for entertaining, both a U-line wine cooler and a U-line ice maker positioned to starboard across from the galley are ready to serve. For effortless upkeep and access, a discreet hatch opens directly to the engine room.

Pilothouse

The pilothouse centers around a commanding helm console crowned by a custom teak ship’s wheel and a Llebroc custom captain’s chair, all set against satin-finished cabinetry, helm console, and wall paneling. Underfoot, teak and holly flooring sets a timeless tone, while a custom headliner and LED lighting elevate the ambience. A large custom upholstered L-shaped cruising settee with storage below is paired with a custom burl hi-low pedestal table with an attached leaf, creating a refined space for passage planning or relaxed conversation. Practicality is woven into every detail, from a starboard sliding, locking deck-access door and a port opening window with screen to two overhead opening hatches with screens and blackout covers. Inside stair access to the flybridge helm is via handsome teak steps with carpeted treads, and abundant 120VAC outlets ensure convenience at hand.

At the helm, an Ocean PC monitor with Coastal Explorer charts anchors a professional-grade navigation suite that includes Furuno radar, a Furuno GP-1850DF chart plotter, and a SIMRAD AP20 autopilot control, complemented by a Link multi-function display, a Link anemometer, an ACR spotlight control, and a Danforth Global Balance compass. Communications are clear and reliable with an ICOM IC-127 VHF radio with remote-mounted MIC, while AIS (Vesper Marine) is fully integrated into the Ocean PC with Coastal Explorer navigation software for enhanced situational awareness. Engine and ship’s systems are intuitively managed with Bennett trim tabs control, Mathers electronic engine controls, Cummins Marine Engine ignition switches with stop, VDO engine instrument gauges, Side Power Electric Bow and Stern thruster controls, three windshield wiper controls, and a MUIR windlass remote control. Tankage and utilities are monitored and operated via a Wema fuel and water level gauge, a TankWatch III holding tank level monitor system, a diesel heat system master control switch with heat outlets, a windshield defroster fan switch, a Northern Lights generator remote control panel with start–stop, and a shore power–generator selector panel. Power management is further refined with a Xantrex inverter remote panel and a Xantrex LinkLITE battery monitor, while engine room blower switches and a panel with bilge pump and sump pump auto–manual switches keep vital systems at the ready. Finishing touches include a horn switch, a TracVision SAT TV remote panel, and a Fusion MS-IP600 stereo and speaker system, with under-helm service access providing thoughtful storage and ease of maintenance.

VIP stateroom

At the bow, the forward VIP stateroom presents an inviting island pedestal bed with two built-in drawers, a custom mattress and bedding, a mirrored headboard, and dedicated headboard reading lights. Satin-finish teak cabinetry with drawer storage, privacy doors, and refined wall panels frames the space, complemented by port and starboard hull-side teak display shelving and a custom headliner. Practical stowage includes a hanging locker, additional cabinet storage, and a full-length dressing mirror. Natural light and fresh air are welcomed by two stainless steel portlights with screens and blackout covers, along with an overhead hatch to the foredeck with its own screen and blackout cover. Entertainment is provided by a Sharp TV with two ceiling-mounted speakers, while a 120VAC outlet and LED lighting add everyday convenience. Climate comfort comes courtesy of a diesel heat system with dedicated zone control, thermostat, and heat outlet, and the suite enjoys private ensuite access to the guest head. The ambiance is completed by plush carpeted flooring.

Guest head

To port between the Master and VIP staterooms lies the guest head, a refined space appointed with a satin-finished teak vanity and privacy doors and wall panels set over classic teak and holly flooring. The teak vanity features an integrated, custom molded solid-surface countertop and sink with a matching faucet set, practical storage below, and mirrored medicine cabinet doors above, all illuminated by LED lighting and complemented by a custom mirrored ceiling feature. Convenience and versatility are assured with access from the foyer or directly from the VIP stateroom, while a towel ring and wall-mounted hook keep essentials close at hand and a 120VAC GFCI-protected outlet stands ready for appliances. The Dometic VacuFlush marine toilet pairs with a large FRP stall shower equipped with a bench seat, bi-fold glass doors, and a teak floor grate above the drain. Within the shower, a stainless steel portlight with screen and privacy curtain brings in natural light, a shower vent fan promotes airflow, and an adjustable-height slide bar with shower head and faucet ensures personalized comfort.

Master stateroom

Midship, the Master Stateroom is a showcase of luxurious comfort, centered on an island pedestal bed with built‑in drawers beneath and complemented by bedside nightstands with drawer storage and a well‑designed portside bureau offering six storage drawers, for a total of nine. Rich satin‑finish teak cabinetry frames the space, paired with custom burl countertops, a privacy door and wall panels secured by magnetic door catches, and carpet flooring underfoot. A custom mattress and bedding are set against a mirrored headboard with dedicated reading lights, while a custom teak ceiling feature with indirect lighting, a custom headliner, and LED lighting create a warm, refined ambiance. Wardrobe needs are met by multiple hanging lockers—three in total—supported by wall‑mounted garment hooks, and the port side bureau is finished with a mirror above, joined by a full‑length dressing mirror for effortless preparation. Entertainment and power are equally well considered, with a SONY TV, two ceiling‑mounted sound system speakers, and 120VAC outlets. Climate comfort is assured by a diesel heat system with zone control via thermostat and dedicated heat outlets. Natural light and ventilation are provided by a stainless steel portlight with screen and blackout cover, and the suite is completed by a private ensuite head with stall shower.

Master head

The master head presents teak and holly flooring beneath a satin-finish teak vanity whose custom solid-surface countertop and integrated sink with faucet set sit beneath mirrored medicine cabinet doors, all framed by matching privacy door and wall panels. Entry is available from the foyer or the VIP stateroom, and comforts include a Dometic VacuFlush marine toilet, a dedicated heat outlet, and LED lighting accented by a custom mirrored ceiling feature. The large FRP stall shower is enclosed with bi-fold glass doors and features a bench seat, a stainless steel portlight with screen and privacy curtain, an adjustable-height slide bar with shower head and faucet, a shower vent fan, and a teak floor grate above the drain. Practical touches such as a towel ring, wall-mounted hooks, and a 120VAC GFCI-protected outlet complete this beautifully crafted space.

Flybridge

Accessed conveniently from the pilothouse through a stainless steel and glass hatch, the enclosed flybridge is a commanding retreat designed for comfort and control. At the heart of the space, dual adjustable upholstered helm chairs face a custom FRP navigation console crowned by a custom-engraved stainless steel spoked ship’s wheel. A truly redundant navigation suite is anchored by an Argonaut marine-grade monitor with Coastal Explorer chart plotting, Furuno radar, a Link multi-function display, SIMRAD AP20 autopilot control, an azimuth compass, and an ICOM IC-127 VHF radio with remote-mount mic, complemented by ACR spotlight control and a horn switch. Precision handling comes via Mathers electronic engine controls, Cummins Marine engine start-stop, VDO engine instrument gauges, Bennett trim tabs control, and Side Power electric bow and stern thruster controls, while a windlass remote control stands ready at a moment’s notice. Comfort is assured with a diesel heat fan switch and a diesel heat remote switch feeding two heat outlets, and entertainment is delivered through a Fusion stereo remote paired with two Bose speakers. Five beverage holders, 120VAC outlets, and a panel with high-water bilge alarm indicators add thoughtful utility. Generous port and starboard upholstered L-settees with storage below create plenty of seating for guests to relax underway, all set on FRP nonskid decking with molded-in drain channels for secure footing and quick runoff.

Bridge deck

Aft, between the port and starboard flybridge cruising settees, a dual-zipper sealed sliding panel opens to the expansive bridge deck, a versatile zone for tender and toy storage, barbecuing, and refreshing open-air lounging with sweeping vistas across the waterscape. Here rests an Avon 12' RIB center-console tender powered by a 40HP Yamaha outboard, launched with ease by a Nick Jackson 1,500 lb power-rotation davit, while a dedicated kayak cradle secures additional toys. A Dickinson rail-mounted barbecue with canvas cover stands ready for effortless alfresco grilling, and the space is finished with FRP non-skid decking with molded-in drain channels, complemented by deck drains for rapid runoff. An FRP radar arch crowns the area, and an FRP deck storage box provides tidy stowage, ensuring the deck remains uncluttered and ready for adventure.

Electrical equipment

Power aboard is engineered for versatility and confidence, beginning with shore power inlets for 240V/50A service and complemented by forward, port and starboard 250V/50A inlets just outside the pilothouse, while a 50-foot 250/125V/50A shore power cord streamlines dockside connections. Underway or at anchor, a Northern Lights 16kW generator with sound shield delivers quiet, dependable AC power with 2318 hours as of July 1, 2026, and a Xantrex Freedom SW 3012 inverter/charger ensures seamless continuity. All AC/DC functions are centralized at a single common power distribution panel located at the top of the accommodations deck stairway beside the pilothouse.

The 12VDC system is sourced through the house battery bank and is complemented by a West Marine 12V MMC control battery, a house bank of two West Marine 12V AGM batteries, an inverter bank of six GC2B marine batteries rated at 6V and 235 AH each, two West Marine 12V engine start batteries, and a dedicated 12V generator battery. Intelligent protection and charging come via Guest 2023A battery isolation switches, a Siemens ISO transformer, a Victron Centaur 12V/50A battery charger, and a ProMarine ProNautic 24-30P battery charger. Daily comforts and safety are further supported by a Torrid MV-20 hot water heater, 120VAC GFCI-protected outlets, three Rule bilge pumps, Aqua Signal 41 series navigation lights, and an AFI 12VDC air horn.

Mechanical equipment

The yacht’s propulsion is provided by twin Cummins 6CTA 8.3 M3 (6CT8.3M3) 450 HP marine diesel engines, matched to ZF IRM 301A-2 transmissions with a 2.55:1 ratio and governed by Mathers electronic engine controls. Hours as of July 1, 2026 are Port 2207 and Starboard 2210. Fuel is polished through Racor 1000FG main engine filters and a Racor 500FG generator filter, while an oil change pump system simplifies maintenance. Power is delivered via PYI dripless shaft logs to three-blade propellers on AISI 2 1/2" drive shafts, with precise handling assisted by a Hynautic steering system, Bennett trim tabs, and Side-Power electric bow and stern thrusters. Ground tackle is managed by a Muir VWC 2500 windlass, deck care is supported by foredeck and aft cockpit fresh and saltwater washdown systems, bilge security is enhanced by a Bosworth manual bilge pump, and machinery space ventilation is provided by an Atwood 1743 12VDC engine-room blower system. Waste management is handled by a Sealand macerator pump for holding tank discharge. For all-season comfort, a Webasto DWB 2020.63 hydronic diesel furnace system with an Everhot tank is installed; additionally, a Webasto hydronic diesel heating circuit is plumbed into the engine heat exchanger, providing heat in cold winter months to the engines while the furnace is in operation and enabling the engines, when running, to warm the yacht’s interior spaces.

Foredeck | side deck

Accessed along wide, full-length side decks, this area serves as a confident working space for anchoring and a serene open-air haven for relaxation. Secure movement is assured by stainless steel bow rails with a welded mid-rail and matching side-deck rails fitted with a vinyl-covered lifeline running mid-height through each stanchion, complemented by robust stainless steel cleats. Underfoot, FRP nonskid decking with molded-in drain channels teams with dedicated deck drains to keep the surface dry and sure-footed. At the stem, a stainless steel anchor roller system presents an Ultra 27 kg 60 lb anchor on a 350-foot chain, powered by a Muir VWC 2500 windlass, with storage compartments on either side of the anchoring system and a foredeck storage locker plus chain-locker access conveniently positioned next to the anchor. A deck hatch brings light and air to the VIP stateroom below. Forward operations are supported by three windshield wipers and a mesh windshield cover, while a searchlight stands ready for night maneuvers. Custom stainless steel collapsible fender racks—two in total—accommodate six fenders to keep the yacht prepared for any berth.

Transom and aft cockpit

Here, where your fun on the water begins, a molded-in swim step with ladder invites effortless boarding, secured by two stainless steel staples and complemented by an FRP transom gate. Underfoot, FRP nonskid decking with molded-in drain channels and dedicated deck drains keeps the cockpit dry and surefooted, while a deck hatch opens to the lazarette and provides straightforward access to the engine room. Both freshwater and raw water deck wash services simplify cleanups after a day underway. Line handling is seamless with two stainless steel transom mooring cleats, two stainless steel cockpit mooring cleats with chaff guards, and two stainless steel cockpit line hawseholes, all positioned for efficient docking. A transom horizontal stainless steel handrail and two aft deck stainless steel safety grab rails offer confident handholds, and thoughtfully placed deck courtesy lighting sets the perfect evening ambiance.

Maintenance | Upgrades

In 2023, the yacht received a new flybridge enclosure, enhancing protection and comfort at the upper helm. In 2024, the port and starboard Cummins engines and the generator were fitted with new impellers and fresh oil, new carpet was installed to refresh the interior, and the VacuFlush heads were serviced with new baffles to ensure dependable operation. The 2025 care program included oil changes again on the port and starboard Cummins engines and the generator, a new LleBroc adjustable pilothouse helm chair, and the installation of four underwater lights. Electrical capability was upgraded with a new inverter battery bank and a new Victron 50-amp inverter bank charger. The boat was then hauled out for bottom paint, the props were pulled and rebalanced at Tacoma Prop, and the boot stripe was repainted for a crisp finish. In 2026, ambiance and visibility were elevated with new MDL Series LED rope lighting in the salon and pilothouse, the autopilot compass was replaced for precise tracking, and the boat was hauled out again for new zincs. To complete the presentation, the exterior was meticulously washed and waxed and the stainless steel polished, leaving the vessel gleaming and cruise-ready.
