Overview
PROJECT ABOVE + BEYOND present two distinct concepts designed to spark imagination and entice an owner to craft a build uniquely their own, using the proposed layouts and design cues, with the outcome a truly genuine global cruiser aligned to that client’s lifestyle and bluewater long-range cruising objectives.
The 65m ABOVE debuted to the market first, and we are delighted to introduce her larger sistership — the 80m BEYOND to discerning yacht buyers today.
BEYOND is a high-volume 2,400 GT explorer superyacht delivering sweeping open decks, generous tender and toy stowage, and every comfort one expects aboard a modern pedigree new‑build, conceived for transoceanic range and expedition yachting in supreme style.
Touch‑and‑go helipad capability, a wellness sanctuary with sauna, cold plunge, gymnasium and beauty spa, plus 7 generous suites including 2 VIPs and a panoramic owner’s retreat, accommodate up to 14+ guests aboard.
Detailed Description
Space planning
Defined by an assertive stance and a highly optimized platform, the 85M explorer is purpose-built for immersive living and an unwavering connection to the sea.
An expansive open beach club forms the social heart of the yacht, delivering direct water access and a seamless integration of wellness and watersports. A dedicated Nemo room elevates the experience with a singular submerged vantage point beneath the surface.
Dining is elevated to a feature space, with a formal dining area envisioned as both a social hub and an architectural focal point, centered on an integrated wine cellar. The setting flows effortlessly to the surrounding salons and exterior decks, enabling fluid, flexible hosting.
The grand Owner’s domain crowns the concept as a private, expansive retreat with panoramic views, uniting generous lounge areas and outdoor living into a cohesive, highly exclusive environment.
The above + beyond concept
Yachting horizons have broadened. A new or maturing owner is as likely to cruise Antarctica as the playgrounds of the Mediterranean. The environment on board should provide comfort, security, and sanctuary while inviting those dynamic landscapes inside—physically through material, and emotionally through vision, form, and light.
Our designs create a deliberate synergy with the exterior world: natural flamed stone is coupled with oiled timber finishes and elemental themes—fire, cast glass, and coastal tones—to frame the sea and sky in a palette of texture and clarity.
Beginning with the 65m model, we will develop practical options for interior living that ensure effortless access to the water, connected spaces, and occasional reading or working areas, together with abundant possibilities for convivial dining and entertainment for small or large groups, formal or informal. We will maximize functional utility and interior accommodation; consider foredeck-mounted tenders to optimize interior gross tonnage (GT); and, in response to reference and competitor yachts that emphasize glass and sightlines, introduce panoramic features with thoughtful coordination between interior views and exterior bulwarks and sheer lines. We will maximize the use of soft boundaries within interior walls to establish long architectural sightlines and improve orientation on board; consider glass-bottomed pools and decks to harvest borrowed light and create a dynamic signature ambiance; and further enhance glass features and interior sightlines wherever appropriate. Adaptable, optional wellness and beauty facilities will be available, and a signature silhouette—defined by distinctive surface features and a recognizable stance—will be established as the foundation for the range.
Ending with the 80m model, we will continue the space planning to present alternative design options to the 65m, appealing to a new buyer while demonstrating the functional choices a client can select when finalizing the layout. We will emphasize that the final length overall and gross tonnage may be increased or decreased according to the client’s vision. A Nemo room will be incorporated within the beach club to offer a unique underwater viewing experience, while wellness and health take center stage with a full-service spa, cold plunge, beauty salon, and gymnasium in a serene, zen-like atmosphere. We will maximize tender and toy storage with a forward-looking approach to life on and below the sea; specify a commercial-quality galley worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant; and continue maximizing glass features throughout. A glass-bottomed pool will channel natural light into the beach club below, enriching the dynamic signature ambiance, and the same signature silhouette introduced on the 65m Above, with its recognizable stance and profile lines, will carry confidently through.
Bannenberg & Rowell
A unique heritage, 1957–2002, defines Bannenberg & Rowell Design Ltd, the direct descendant of Jon Bannenberg Ltd, the convention-breaking studio founded by Jon Bannenberg, father of Dickie Bannenberg, in the late 1950s. Jon Bannenberg created an unbroken line of the world’s most iconic and admired yachts and, often hailed as the Le Corbusier of yacht design, collaborated with shipyards in Holland, Germany, Italy, Australia and France. His work reached beyond yachts to the very highest level, encompassing first-class suites and public rooms on the Queen Elizabeth 2 liner for Cunard, aircraft interiors, and bespoke car design for Rolls-Royce and Jensen; in 1978 he was appointed a Royal Designer for Industry.
Since 2003, when the company was rebranded as Bannenberg & Rowell, the studio has delivered some forty yacht projects—new builds and refits—as well as a further twenty residential and transport projects, providing both interior and exterior design services. Bannenberg & Rowell’s base is an industrial building in Fulham, south-west London, which houses the design studio, a full soft furnishings and sampling library, and design archives dating back more than sixty years. As the only modern, multi-generational, holistic yacht design studio, Bannenberg & Rowell is uniquely equipped to understand heritage.
Creativity remains at the heart of the Bannenberg & Rowell design process, and the studio continues to seek out new design solutions in response to a changing world and an evolving clientele. It regularly develops and publishes new design platforms that question, challenge and respond to changing life on board. Occasionally radical yet always diligently researched and engineered, these platforms go on to influence live projects, while promoting client conversations and direction at the outset of new blank-canvas projects. Whether questioning and solving complex circulation requirements through creative space planning, improving sight lines through sculpted interiors, or deepening the visual and physical connection with the outside environment, the studio ensures every opportunity for value and experience is harvested on behalf of client, builder and crew.

The complete shipyard experience. We are not an assembly shipyard; we are a complete shipyard. While many contract out everything from engineering to installation, we do things differently, relying on in-house teams across design, engineering, interiors, production, and more to elevate quality while keeping costs under control—completely.
Organized across every discipline required for outstanding yacht construction, this philosophy accelerates turnarounds and lifts the gold standards of shipbuilding to platinum, delivering more flexibility, more speed, and less hassle. We outperform, in-house.
Built to last. Quality is a system, not a slogan. It begins with the finest components—from engines and generators to glass and springs—and continues through production, with three-dimensional modeling of every nut and bolt before expert execution on the floor, ensuring lasting quality by design.
First class. Recognized worldwide for design and build excellence with multiple WSA awards, Turquoise superyachts are engineered and manufactured almost entirely in-house. The power of building in-house extends from the computer to the construction shed, delivering not only superior quality control but also more efficient use of resources and greater speed.
