In October 2023 she received Newmar battery chargers and 23-foot Comrod VHF antennas, followed by propeller tuning in January 2024 and AC controllers replaced. Further upgrades span a Garmin GHC 50 autopilot, engine alignment, two ICOM M510 VHF sets, a port alternator, and watermaker and air-conditioning service in 2024, plus new batteries in November 2024.
Based in Los Sueños, Costa Rica, Scandaloso is fully outfitted and poised for fishing or cruising today.

Practical touches include batteries secured in fiberglass boxes, Y-valve emergency bilge pumps, dual power steering pumps, a 110V outlet on the aft bulkhead at the entranceway, and an additional fuel tank forward for a total of three tanks. Flybridge
Commanding views and purposeful design define the flybridge, crowned by a fiberglass hardtop with its underside painted to match the hull color and enclosed on three sides with track-to-track fittings; the EZ2CY front panels of the enclosure were replaced in 2023, and zippered vents at the top of the front and side panels regulate airflow. The bridge is meticulously installed without exposed fasteners, and handrails wrap around the front of the bridge, complemented by an L-shaped handrail under the hardtop for secure passage. A helm pod with single-lever controls pairs with power-assisted steering, trim tab controls, fuel gauges, and electronic trolling valves for precise handling, while a drop-down overhead box with engine monitors keeps critical data in easy view. Recessed electronics boxes with push-knob catches streamline the console, joined by a VHF radio ICOM-510, a Fusion radio with bluetooth, a compass by Ritchie Powerdamp, and an EPIRB by ACR Global Fix, with Rupp antenna standoffs and a 24V remote spotlight enhancing communication and visibility.

A drink box with a freshwater outlet is within easy reach, and for additional specification highlights, see the Custom Tower section. Stereo speakers—two forward and two aft—complete the experience.
Electronics
An advanced electronics suite begins with a Furuno Omni Sonar and a Garmin 25 kW radar, complemented by three Garmin 8617 displays at the helm and one Garmin 8412 in the tower for seamless command from both stations. A 3 kW Airmar CHIRP transducer, new in 2019, sharpens subsurface detail, and the suite is augmented by a Furuno FAP-511 NavPilot Garmin. Communications are handled by two Icom VHF radios, while high-speed connectivity arrives via Starlink. The dedicated satellite TV system centers on a KVH TVG4-HP 18-inch satellite TV dish feeding a Direct TV H-20 satellite receiver through a Spaun SM3403-NF amplified multiswitch, all safeguarded by an APC 350 UPS backup. An IR remote system is wired for the salon and master stateroom, delivering complete electronics with SAT-TV and SAT phone.
Hull and decks
Defined by a black mask with a forward eyebrow, the hull presents in Sea Foam Green, complemented by a rub rail painted to match the gelcoat. On the bow, a Lewmar V4SS windlass with fifty feet of chain and four hundred feet of line partners with a plough style anchor, and a freshwater washdown is thoughtfully positioned inside the anchor locker. Safety is assured with a Revere Commander 3.0 six-person life raft. Deck utility is enhanced by a sliding fender track running from the transom to the end of the cabin and by overhead railing extended to eighteen inches on the port and starboard sides. Underwater lights (Xeon) cast a dramatic glow with two aft and two down. Performance and protection details include oval exhaust outlets, fiberglass thru-hulls together with dedicated fiberglass side thru-hulls, prop pockets that reduce draft, and an additional factory fuel tank, while spare props stand ready to keep you cruising.
Tuna tower
A custom Bausch Towers tuna tower crowns the yacht, accessed via a center ladder with port and starboard extensions. Quartz lights are molded into the tower platform, with two aft and one forward to bathe the decks in crisp illumination. A sleek black pipe finish defines the buggy top and control box top, while the buggy top’s underside is painted to match the hull and fitted with two overhead lights for nighttime clarity. A bench seat with a black cover offers comfort aloft, complemented by a stereo with separate speakers for an immersive soundtrack underway. Command is precise at the upper helm with black engine controls, a steering wheel with speed knob, ICOM Command Mic II, Furuno Navnet, and a compass. For the dedicated angler, there are three rod holders on each tower leg, a center rigger, and Rupp triple spreader outriggers with cameras, all braced by Rupp standoffs. A freshwater washdown completes the package, keeping the tower and decks spotless between strikes.
