Overview

2026 AvA Yachts 115' Steel Explorer — a contemporary luxury motor yacht born in Turkey and crafted for voyaging in absolute comfort. At 115 feet in length with a confident 25-foot beam, this full-displacement steel superyacht blends ocean-going poise with a graceful silhouette, delivering the volume, stability, and presence discerning owners expect from a modern explorer yacht.

Conceived inside and out by AvA Yachts, the design champions robust engineering and refined living. Her all-steel hull and decks inspire confidence offshore, while the generous internal volume—around 320 GT—translates to expansive lounges, serene private retreats, and effortless circulation throughout. Natural light and carefully curated materials create a warm, contemporary ambiance that is both sophisticated and welcoming.

Twin Volvo Penta diesel inboards provide reliable, efficient propulsion, cruising comfortably at 10 knots and reaching up to 14 knots when required. Thoughtful noise and vibration mitigation enhance the sense of calm underway, and the yacht’s full-displacement profile ensures a composed, economical ride on longer passages.

For extended cruising, autonomy is a hallmark: substantial tankage delivers impressive endurance, with more than 1,700 gallons of fresh water and nearly 13,000 gallons of fuel available to support weeks on the water. Practicality is matched by privilege—broad exterior decks invite alfresco dining and sunset entertaining, while wide walkarounds elevate safety and ease of movement for guests and crew alike. Inside, multiple ensuite spaces and eight beautifully appointed heads reflect a focus on privacy and comfort across the accommodation plan.

Detailed with shipyard-level rigor and the artisanal sensibility for which Turkey’s top builders are renowned, this 2026 new-build expresses AvA Yachts’ explorer DNA in every line and living space. Whether setting course for quiet coves or bluewater horizons, she offers an elegant balance of long-range capability and refined leisure—an ideal choice for owners seeking an expedition yacht that is as inviting at anchor as it is capable at sea.

Yacht category keywords woven into her DNA: Explorer Yacht, Expedition Yacht, Luxury Motor Yacht, Full-Displacement, Steel Superyacht, Long-Range Cruiser, Ocean-Going Motor Yacht, New Build 2026, Turkey.

Detailed Description

Boat's characteristics

A true long-range explorer at heart, this yacht is built on a displacement hull form and engineered with an unsinkable structure that remains afloat even if any single compartment floods. Life on board is generous and ergonomic, with a minimum 2.10 m free height in all cabins for a sense of open, unencumbered volume. Command is assured from four control stations and two helm bridges, each fitted with clearly marked emergency stop buttons for decisive safety at a touch.

Structural materials

Every structural choice serves endurance and refinement: the hull is fabricated from high tensile marine steel AH36 for formidable strength, while the superstructure is crafted in aluminum alloy AlMg 5083 H321 to balance rigidity with weight savings. The hardtop is a sandwich system epoxy composite for stiffness and longevity. Piping is purpose-selected: fresh water lines in polypropylene, sanitary runs in PVC, and critical fuel, sea water cooling, fire extinguishing, bilge suction, and tank air vent systems executed in the Mapress system or equivalent for secure, corrosion-resistant joints. The hydraulic system employs seamless steel pipes for pressure integrity, and all stainless steel equipment is AISI316L unless otherwise specified.

Engines, propulsion system, speed & range

Power comes from VOLVO-PENTA D16 main engines—two heavy-duty marine units rated at 600 HP each at 1800 RPM—mated to twin gearboxes by TWINDISK or ZF for assured reliability. The propulsion train is long-shaft with fixed-blade propellers turning on AISI316L stainless steel propeller shafts for enduring precision. The result is a composed maximum speed of 13–14 knots at 95% engine load, an efficient cruising envelope of 8–10 knots at 60% engine load, and a remarkable cruising range in excess of 6,500 nautical miles.

Maneuvering & steering & mooring

Confident handling begins with four control stations—one in the wheelhouse, one on the flybridge, and two at the wings—each equipped with four dual electronic main engine throttles by VOLVO-PENTA for intuitive fingertip command. Steering is entrusted to a HIDROMARIN gear with electro-hydraulic pump–actuated cylinders, manual operation capability in an emergency, and full integration with the rudder angle indicator and autopilot. Twin steel-constructed, foil-shaped rudder blades with 316L stainless steel rudder shafts carve a precise track. At the bow, a SIDE POWER SH1000 thruster delivers 740 kg‑f through a central hydraulic power unit. Ground tackle is robust: two DATA hydraulic anchor winches in polished AISI316L stainless steel, joystick-controlled from the stations, backed by two polished AISI316L chain locks, and paired with in-house galvanized steel Danforth-type anchors—one 300 kg and one 200 kg—seated port and starboard. Each anchor carries its own 19 mm Grade II galvanized chain, 260 m in total length, monitored by a digital chain meter and led through two AISI304 stainless steel hawse pipes to a composite-covered chain locker with sea-water flush and overboard drainage. Dockside, mooring is made effortless by two DATA hydraulic capstans driven from the central power unit, executed in polished AISI316L stainless steel on raised bases with foot controls, complemented by ten in-house AISI316L polished stainless steel bollards welded to raised deck positions—four large on the foredeck, two large aft on the main deck, two small amidships on the main deck, and two small on the swimming platform.

Equipment & outfitting

Stability and comfort are entrusted to a hydraulic SLEIPNER fin stabilizing system with zero-speed functionality. Climate control is comprehensive with a WEBASTO 250,000 BTU chilled-water plant at 380V AC feeding heat-and-cool fan coils in each guest cabin, salon, and crew quarters, supported by a fresh air make‑up unit; all conditioned spaces—main deck salon, upper deck salon, all guest and crew cabins, wheelhouse, galley, crew mess, and lazarette—are mechanically ventilated. Black and grey water are handled by a HAMANN treatment system rated at 2 cbm/day. Fresh water independence is delivered by a SEA RECOVERY Aqua‑Whisper DX 75 unit with 1800‑2 GPD and 284 lt/h capacity, self‑flushing by design. Launch and recovery of tenders are effortless via an OPACMARE or BESENZONI deck crane, hydraulically operated, rated to 1200 kg and served by its own hydraulic power unit. The JETS vacuum toilet system ensures efficient sanitation. Entertainment flows through a centralized SONOS and CRESTRON media server, while the wheelhouse sightlines remain clear with SPEICH window wipers. Boarding is refined by an in‑house hydraulic passarella gangway of adequate length, remote controlled, with solid and portable handrails. Fuel purity is safeguarded by an ALFA LAVAL MIB303 separator, and drivetrain refinement is enhanced by a CENTA flexible propulsion shaft coupling. Engine room ventilation is provided by electric‑driven centrifugal fans. Aft doors to the salons are automatic, sliding, and curved, framed in the highest‑quality polished stainless steel and glass on both the main deck and upper deck. Satellite TV comes via INTELLIAN or KVH with one 90 cm bowl and one 90 cm empty dome. A PANASONIC inter‑communication phone system links all cabins, both salons, wheelhouse, galley, crew mess, flybridge, and lazarette. Electric Venetian blinds grace the master cabin and both salons. Night operations benefit from two LED search lights with electric remote control and eight LED underwater lights—four at the transom and four along the aft quarters. Weather‑exposed decks are laid in first‑class teak at 12 mm thickness, with tempered deckhouse window glass throughout. Exterior furniture and cushions include seating groups on the flybridge and at the aft pool. The hardtop and radar mast are molded GRP in a sandwich system. Bulwarks and handrails combine the highest‑quality polished stainless steel AISI316L with carbon fiber, and the aft swimming platform is protected by polished AISI316L guard rails with a portable air horn. Navigation lights are LED and fully COLREG compliant. Thermal and fire protection feature ROCKWOOL in the engine room and GLASSWOOL in accommodation spaces.

Navigation electronics

Professional NavCom capability by FURUNO or SIMRAD centers on four Hatteland 24" color displays paired with a 12 kW X‑band radar and a 6 kW open‑array radar for redundancy and range. GMDSS readiness includes VHF and an Inmarsat‑C ship earth station terminal for GMDSS, complemented by an FA‑170 AIS and GPS Class‑A module, an autopilot module, a Navtex receiver, a weather station, BNWAS, and FI‑70 multi‑purpose displays to keep the bridge informed and alert.

Monitoring & alarm instruments

A central monitoring and alarm system (AMS) by BÖNING or PRAXIS provides touch‑screen oversight in the wheelhouse and crew quarter, supervising tank levels, bilge levels, diesel generators, propulsion engines, main switchboard voltages (220 VAC and 380 VAC), shore power voltage, battery levels, and navigation lights. A HAIKON camera suite covers the yacht with five 1080p IR IP cameras feeding an eight‑channel HD recorder and a 15" LED display at the main helm bridge. Classic instruments—magnetic compass, barometer, and hydrometer kit—stand ready. Engines and generators feature digital monitoring indicators mirrored within the AMS, as do tank level indicators with digital readouts on the wheel console. Bilge levels trigger visible and audible alarms, likewise integrated into the AMS for immediate awareness.

Accommodation equipment

The galley is outfitted with SIEMENS home appliances, including one cooking oven, one microwave oven, one induction electric cooking range, one dishwasher, and one inox refrigerator; the crew mess mirrors this SIEMENS specification with one cooking oven, one microwave oven, one induction electric cooking range, one dishwasher, and one inox refrigerator. The laundry is complete with one SIEMENS washing machine, one dryer, and one ironing mangle. Entertaining al fresco is effortless with one small refrigerator in the flybridge bar, four wine coolers, and four ice cube makers serving one main deck bar, one upper deck bar, the galley, and the flybridge bar. Visuals are vivid with SAMSUNG LED TVs: a 65" Smart Flat UHD 4K retractable screen in the main deck salon, a 65" Smart Flat UHD 4K fixed on the wall in the upper deck salon, a 55" Smart Flat UHD 4K fixed on the wall in the owner’s suite, a 40" Smart Flat UHD 4K in each cabin fixed on the wall, and a 40" Smart Flat UHD 4K fixed on the wall in the crew quarter. Daily life is streamlined by a central vacuum cleaner system, a home theatre sound system in the main deck salon, and a stereo system serving the pool deck and the flybridge.

Interior furnishing

Throughout cabins and salons, the ambience is tailored with precision plywood furniture veneered to the owner’s taste and finished in a satin varnish. Upholstery options include artificial leather or premium textiles, with wooden or carpeted floors in cabins and the salon to complement the chosen aesthetic. Rest is restorative on custom‑size spring beds, while manual Venetian blinds offer tactile light control. In the bathrooms, artificial granite bench tops are durable and elegant, polycarbonate shower cabins are bright and resilient, ceramic and mosaic tile work adds texture and tone, and towel dryer heaters bring thoughtful warmth.

Exterior furnishing

At the aft pool seating area, watertight upholstery with premium sponge, a fixed wooden Iroko table on a stainless steel leg, and a deck bar with a cool box create an elegant outdoor lounge. A fore seating area with watertight upholstery can be arranged to the owner’s preference. The flybridge hosts a full control station with engine throttles and wheel, versatile seating groups with watertight cushioning, a grill and bar module with a cool box, and a generous sunbathing area—an open‑air haven under the hardtop.

Safety & security equipment

Safety is embedded throughout: a NOVEC fixed fire extinguishing system protects the engine room, while EPIRB and SART emergency beacons stand by for rapid alerting. Two Viking life rafts are positioned on the flybridge deck, and the engine room is guarded by smoke detection and a fire alarm system. Portable fire extinguishers are distributed in all cabins, with fire blankets placed in the galley, crew lounge, and engine room for immediate response.

Piping system & pumps

The fresh water system covers filling, cold‑water supply and hot‑water circulation from the freshwater storage tank, water maker, and water heater, driven by LIVERANI or equivalent electric freshwater pressure pumps and dedicated hot‑water circulation pumps with stainless steel or bronze ball valves; hot‑water circulation lines are heat insulated, and pump capacities are calculated precisely for the vessel’s demand. Sanitary drain and discharge routes lead wastewater to storage tanks, with discharge either to the aft‑deck shore connection or the wastewater treatment unit via electric macerator pumps and stainless steel or bronze ball valves. Bilge management is robust: suction and discharge from each watertight compartment are handled separately by two electric self‑priming centrifugal bronze pumps with stainless steel or bronze ball valves; five local bilge pumps discharge through dedicated lines and include high‑level alarms; water level gauges report to the main helm with both audible and visible alerts. The sea‑water fire extinguishing system draws from sea chests to deck fire nozzles via an electric centrifugal bronze emergency pump, with stainless steel or bronze ball valves throughout. Fuel filling, supply, and transfer are arranged for efficient tank filling, clean delivery to consumers with return lines, inter‑tank or shore transfer via an electrically driven fuel transfer pump, and tank air ventilation; each consumer is protected by double Racor or equivalent filters on the supply lines. Sea‑water cooling is centralized in a CuNiFe pipe system connected to two bottom sea chests in the engine room with stainless steel or bronze butterfly valves and strainers; engines, generators, and all consumers take cooling water from branch lines off the central manifold, with consumer connections made via neoprene flexible hoses. The hydraulic system employs a central power unit with an electric pump and PTO pumps on the main propulsion engines, feeding seamless steel pipelines to operate the bow thruster, anchor winches, and capstans, with equipment coupled by high‑pressure flexible hoses. Exhaust for the main engines is water‑cooled and heat‑insulated, with pipes in mild steel, while gensets breathe through a muffler exhaust system. Air conditioning plant piping carries chilled water to fan coils and drains condensate from fan coils to tanks via polypropylene lines, with all chilled‑water circulation pipes heat‑insulated.

Electricity

Power architecture is resilient and versatile: 24V DC loads are supplied by dedicated battery banks with their own charger/supply units; 230V single‑phase and 400V three‑phase 50 Hz AC power is generated by onboard generators, with 400V three‑phase AC available via shore connection. Battery groups by VICTRON or MASTERVOLT, or equivalent, include marine gel service batteries, AGM deep‑cycle engine start batteries, AGM deep‑cycle generator start batteries, and marine gel emergency batteries sized to suit. Generation is delivered by two 60 kW, 400V AC 50 Hz marine diesel generators by KOHLER or equivalent, coordinated by a power management system that automates both sets; sound shields are provided, and capacities may be increased to the owner’s requirements subject to price adjustment. Inverters and battery chargers by VICTRON or MASTERVOLT, or equivalent, are specified with ample capacity. Distribution is organized via 24V DC, 230V AC, and 400V AC switchboards, distribution boxes, and fuses, while accommodation lighting employs LED spotlights and LED emergency spots for efficiency and reliability.

Painting & corrosion protection

Above the waterline, the exterior finish employs AWLGRIP: epoxy‑based putty fairing with its companion epoxy primer, topped with an acrylic final coat in colors of the owner’s choice. Internally, TEKNOMARIN epoxy primer protects bilges and tank interiors, with bilges finished in white. Below the waterline, antifouling by AKZO‑NOBEL is applied in 1 layer, and zinc anodes are specified for 1 year of protection.
