AQUILA - Baglietto FOR SALE

Built in aluminium by Italian builder Baglietto and styled by Tommaso Spadolini, the luxury superyacht M/Y AQUILA, of notable Italian pedigree, launched in 2004 for Roberto Cavalli and saw comprehensive refits in 2020 and again in 2023–2024.

AQUILA generously accommodates up to ten guests in five staterooms, featuring a full-beam owner’s suite with walk-in wardrobes and an en suite bathroom, two lower-deck VIP cabins each with walk-in wardrobe and en suite, a twin cabin with en suite shower room, and a double cabin with en suite shower room.

Her full-beam main saloon blends relaxed lounging with elegant dining experiences, complemented by an expansive teak foredeck devoted to sunbathing and panoramic repose. The upper deck hosts a dedicated cinema room, while the flybridge comfortably seats up to twelve for open-air dining alongside a well-appointed bar area.

Powered by twin 3,700 hp MTU diesels, this aluminium planing motor yacht achieves a top speed of 26 knots. Zero-speed stabilisers ensure comfort both at anchor and underway.

Machinery

This yacht is engineered with ZF 7550 NR gearboxes driving Kamewa stainless steel shafts and matched with Kamewa propellers for efficient, reliable thrust. Shipboard power is provided by two Kohler 80 kW main generators, supported by Mastervolt batteries and chargers for dependable energy management. Fuel consumption is approximately 500 L/hr at 13.5 knots and 1000 L/hr at 21 knots, reflecting balanced performance across passage and sprint speeds. Freshwater autonomy is enhanced by two Idromar International Model MC10 Puplex watermakers.

Ancillary equipment

Engineered for precision and comfort, the yacht’s propulsion and steering are driven by Kamewa jets, with Rolls-Royce Kamewa rudder angle indicators delivering exact helm feedback. ABT-TRAC Zero Speed and underway stabilizers maintain steadfast poise both at anchor and in open water, while an American Electric bow thruster provides effortless close-quarters control. Fuel is safeguarded by Racor filters and refined through an Alfa Laval fuel oil separator, ensuring clean, reliable delivery to the machinery. Critical shipboard services are supported by a Gianneschi ACM502BT bilge pump rated to 6 bar and a matching Gianneschi ACM502BT fire pump, also rated to 6 bar. Domestic hot water is supplied by two Verticale Inox 400 L boilers. Waste is processed by a Hamann AG sewage treatment system, with sanitation via Tema electric WCs. Onboard comfort is assured by Clion Marine air conditioning, complemented by efficient Gianneschi ventilation throughout.

Safety & security equipment

The yacht’s safety suite includes four life rafts for twenty-five persons, four life rings, McMurdo EPIRBs, and eighteen flares. Medical readiness is ensured with Med-Air and a full MCA medical kit. Fire protection features a CO2 system complemented by thirty-seven portable fire extinguishers. For security, an IP CCTV system is installed with two screens and five cameras.

Communications equipment

Global communications are anchored by a Furuno Sat C SATCOM working in concert with Starlink satellite internet, while a robust cellular system built around two Pepwave units ensures reliable high‑speed connectivity in coastal waters. Critical voice and safety traffic is handled by two Furuno FS2575-C VHF radiotelephones, with Furuno watchkeeping and a dedicated Furuno receiver providing continuous monitoring and redundancy. Onboard coordination is streamlined through a Panasonic PABX telephone/intercom system, delivering clear, dependable communication throughout the yacht and beyond.

Navigation equipment

Confident navigation is assured by a C-Plath magnetic compass and a Sperry Navigat X MK2 gyro compass, working in concert with a Sperry Navipilot 4000 automatic pilot for precise course keeping. Speed and distance are tracked by the Sperry Navinot III log, while underwater detail is revealed by a Furuno Navnet echo sounder and situational awareness is elevated by Furuno Navnet radar. Passage planning and route monitoring are intuitive on the Timezero chart plotter, supported by two Furuno GP-39 GPS units for redundant positioning. Long-range maritime safety and messaging are handled through the Thrane & Thrane GMDSS and a Furuno NX-700 NAVTEX, with local wind data delivered by B7G wind instruments. Traffic awareness is completed by a Furuno FA150 AIS, creating a comprehensive, professional-grade bridge suite.

Deck equipment

Forward, a Maxwell 4000 anchor windlass system commands the ground tackle with assurance, working in concert with two 140 m anchor chains for steadfast holding. Aft, Maxwell 2000 warping capstans deliver precise, effortless line handling during docking maneuvers. A Nautical Structure boat crane and davits streamline tender and equipment deployment, while two searchlights provide confident illumination for safe operations after dark.

Audio/visual systems

The yacht’s integrated entertainment suite delivers cinema-quality viewing and immersive sound throughout. The main salon and the main deck dining area are each equipped with a projector screen, while the main deck aft is fitted with speakers served by a central entertainment system. A dedicated cinema showcases an 86" Samsung, the sun deck features a 56" Samsung, the owner’s cabin is appointed with a 66" Samsung, and the VIP cabin includes a 46" Samsung. All guest cabins are fitted with 42" Samsung screens, and the crew mess is likewise equipped with a 42" Samsung.

Office equipment

The office is outfitted with a PC with internet access, a dedicated PC for the CCTV circuit, and an HP fax/photocopier, ensuring seamless connectivity, reliable surveillance management, and efficient document handling.

Domestic equipment

In the main galley, Miele cooking equipment is complemented by Miele refrigeration and freezer units, supported by two dishwashers and one ice machine to deliver seamless culinary service. The dedicated laundry features two Miele washing machines, two Miele dryers, and a Miele iron for efficient onboard garment care. The pantry is appointed with two fridges, an ice machine, and a coffee machine for swift refreshments, while the bridge deck pantry adds a fridge and coffee machine conveniently positioned for alfresco living. In the crew mess, an ice machine ensures beverages remain perfectly chilled throughout the day.

A foredeck Jacuzzi sets the scene for indulgent relaxation, while a generous swimming pool invites invigorating laps and leisurely swims.
