VALQUEST is a 40m all-aluminium luxury sailing superyacht crafted by Bloemsma Van Breemen in the Netherlands at their Makkum facility. Her interiors were conceived by the renowned British studio Dubois, and she was delivered in 2009.

A true performance cruising yacht, VALQUEST stands out for her striking silver hull, sleek low-profile wheelhouse, and clean, flush decks. Designed as a bluewater cruiser, she features substantial fuel capacity and abundant storage, enabling effortless long-range passages with confidence and independence.

Below, VALQUEST reveals a modern, refined atmosphere, pairing high-gloss mahogany joinery with crisp white leather. A semi-open, split-level saloon floods with natural light and maintains clear sightlines, creating a sophisticated, welcoming space for relaxing and entertaining.

Powered by a single Caterpillar engine, VALQUEST cruises at 11 knots and reaches 13 knots, with a 3,000-nautical-mile range at cruising speed. She carries 18,045 litres of fuel, underscoring her credentials as a long-range luxury sailing yacht and bluewater performance cruiser.

A large refit was undertaken in 2024/2025, including a 12-year mast pull and inspection; NDT testing of the mast, boom, and spreaders; repair of the boom end; NDT testing of the standing rigging with replacements carried out as recommended; alterations to the spreaders to accommodate new radars and Starlink at the owner’s request; replacement of all spreader connectors to the mast; replacement of the lower ends of the foils for the blade and genoa; backstay rams replaced after being condemned at service; furlers fully serviced in line with recommendations; the mainsail mandrel fully serviced; a full repaint of the mast, boom, and spreaders; full paint of the coach-house and cockpit area; full paint of the top sides and boot stripe; the lazarette hatch removed and repainted; three full coats applied with two belly bands as recommended for a 24-month treatment; dismantling of the lazarette, floorboards, and bilges; removal and servicing of all blocks, rollers, cars, and tracks; full service of both windlasses; replacement of hydraulic hoses around the main mast base; removal and service of all deck fittings and hatches; replacement of all hatch rams; painting of all deck lockers and storage areas; comprehensive servicing of all winches; instrument panels cut for the new B&G system; the tender fully serviced with a new navigation system, stereo, and VHF with AIS installed; the engine room bilges repainted; and the forward bilges repainted. The result is a yacht presented in outstanding mechanical and cosmetic condition, ready for bluewater passages with renewed confidence and precision.
