Overview
KASHMIR epitomizes how a classic American luxury motor yacht can be reimagined into a grander, more capable superyacht long after her initial splash. Born of the iconic U.S. builder Broward Yachts—once the most prolific shipyard of its era—she was originally delivered in 1995 as a 105-foot motoryacht. A transformative, no‑compromise rebuild in 2008 extended her to 133 feet and elevated every facet of her design and engineering. Relaunched in January 2009 as a Custom Splendor Yacht, she was granted a 2008 New Build Certificate by the Marshall Islands Flag State, underscoring the comprehensive nature of the work. Naval architecture by Donald Blount endowed her with modern performance and seakeeping, while every core system—machinery, electrics, plumbing, piping, A/V, and finishes inside and out—was renewed. The interior was conceived by Pavlik Yacht Design and exquisitely handcrafted by Genesis Yachtline in Viareggio, Italy, blending timeless elegance with contemporary flair. Power comes from twin Caterpillar C‑32 A‑Cert diesels installed during the refit, both of which received Caterpillar top‑end overhauls in January 2019, and Naiad Zero Speed Stabilizers were added to ensure superb comfort underway and at anchor in a range of conditions.
Accommodating up to 12 guests, KASHMIR features a versatile six‑stateroom layout tailored to luxury charter yacht expectations and private cruising alike. An on‑deck master suite provides the hallmark of a true superyacht configuration, complemented by three refined king‑bed suites. Two additional guest cabins each offer twin berths with a Pullman, delivering flexibility for families and friends. Every master and guest stateroom boasts an ensuite adorned with mosaic tile and marble-topped vanities, while the onboard movie and music server brings on‑demand entertainment throughout. Above, the expansive indoor/outdoor top deck—encompassing the bridge deck and flybridge—invites every mood and moment, from black‑tie dinners to relaxed afternoons at the full wet bar, to sunbathing beside a dual‑purpose Jacuzzi. Climate control on the bridge deck extends the yachting season, ensuring alfresco living remains indulgent in any weather.
With 240 gross tons of volume, KASHMIR feels notably larger than her length suggests, delivering generous interior spaces and broad exterior decks. Her 2008 reimagining also introduced an eye‑catching suite of thirty color‑changing underwater lights, artfully synchronized with the illuminated name boards—a dramatic flourish befitting a modern superyacht. She cruises efficiently at 12 knots and can reach approximately 16 knots at maximum speed, balancing performance with poise. Zero‑speed stabilizer fins enhance her already composed ride, while the bridge deck’s massive Jacuzzi and full bar elevate on‑board entertaining to a glamorous, resort‑style experience.
For those seeking proven charter pedigree, M/Y KASHMIR is a standout opportunity. She successfully completed twelve charters in 2022, a testament to her six‑stateroom configuration, spacious layout, and the professionalism of her exceptional crew. Her meticulously maintained condition translates directly into guest satisfaction and repeat bookings—key hallmarks of a first‑rate charter motor yacht with enduring market appeal.
Recently, KASHMIR benefited from an extensive yard period in 2023, reflecting an owner who spares no expense and a captain dedicated to best‑in‑class operations. Roughly $500,000 was invested to keep her turnkey, including a 6,000‑hour Caterpillar service on the mains completed in September 2023. Power take‑offs were rebuilt, and the entire hydraulic suite—for capstans, windlasses, bow thruster, davits, steering, and stabilizers—was overhauled at the same time, with a full stabilizer service providing absolute confidence at sea and at anchor. Fresh bottom paint and PropSpeed were applied in September 2023, and both props and shafts were reconditioned to ensure optimal efficiency and smooth running across the speed range.
Her 2021 refresh elevated comfort and aesthetics throughout. All interior and exterior soft goods were renewed with a $200,000 investment, a new A/V system graced the main deck, and a 60-inch salon TV was added for cinematic evenings on board. Air handlers were replaced across the vessel for improved climate control, and the hull received a striking petrol‑blue livery with a resprayed superstructure—an elegant, modern finish that turns heads in any marina.
The 2020 maintenance program demonstrated the same rigorous attention to detail that defines KASHMIR’s stewardship. Two new generator electrical ends were installed in May 2020, both radars underwent comprehensive overhauls by June, and the Furuno NavNet blackbox processor was replaced that spring. The main engine starting battery bank was renewed in March 2020, and the inverter bank followed in June. Stone surfaces—floors, counters, and showers—were meticulously refinished, while antifouling and zincs were renewed to keep her underwater profile pristine. Critical reliability items received thoughtful attention: rudder seals, stabilizer seals, and four stabilizer cylinders were replaced in June 2020; bow thruster seals were also renewed; and running gear and alignment checks were performed with satisfactory results. The crew area benefited from carpentry resurfacing in April, and annual certifications were completed for the fixed fire suppression system, portable extinguishers, and lifejackets in June 2020. In February 2020, the Flag PYLC survey was also concluded, reinforcing her status as a well‑documented, fully compliant motor yacht.
Continuing the theme of proactive upgrades, 2019 saw the installation of four Dometic Titanium chillers alongside the Caterpillar C‑32 A‑Cert top‑end overhauls at 5,000 hours, including associated electronics—a thorough mechanical refresh that supports reliable blue‑water cruising. In 2018, new Headhunter submersible freshwater pumps added further redundancy to hotel systems, while in 2017 the swim platform, steps, and foredeck received fresh teak, and three additional Dometic chillers were fitted on the flybridge to ensure superior climate performance on warm‑weather passages.
Every refinement on KASHMIR reflects a dedication to longevity, elegance, and effortless operation—ideals that discerning superyacht owners and charter guests value. From the sleek petrol‑blue hull and sophisticated interiors to her comprehensive engineering and stabilization, she is purpose‑built for lavish entertaining and family cruising, whether gliding between islands or anchoring off secluded coves. With her recent service campaigns complete, annual maintenance up to date, and all systems carefully vetted, M/Y KASHMIR stands ready to cast off and carry her next owner anywhere they dream to voyage—an American‑built pedigree luxury motor yacht, turn‑key and primed for private adventures or continued success on the premium charter market.
Detailed Description
Salon
As you step into the main salon, the ambiance blends coziness with a generous sense of space for relaxed lounging. The beautiful interior, conceived by Pavlik Yacht Design and handcrafted by Genesis Yachtline in Viareggio, Italy, was shipped to the United States for installation, ensuring artisanal precision throughout. Rich finishes include Botticino stone with mosaic borders that highlight Italian high-gloss furniture and luxurious silk and chenille fabrics. A large sofa, complemented by two spare dining chairs, allows the area to comfortably seat eight, while a large-screen TV stands ready for entertainment. Thoughtful amenities include plenty of cabinet space for linen and crystal storage, along with a rich mahogany inlay gracing the ceiling.
Dining
Forward of the salon, an equally well-appointed dining room awaits, where a gracious table seats eight and can be expanded to accommodate up to twelve guests. Expanses of high-gloss cabinetry line the forward bulkhead and side walls, providing ample storage for linens, silver, and other dining utensils, while beautiful back-lit glass cabinets to either side of the space showcase a collection of fine crystal.
Master stateroom
Positioned on deck and set forward of the salon, dining room, and galley, the master stateroom exudes serene sophistication. A generously proportioned king bed faces forward, flanked by nightstands on either side, with a large flat-screen TV perfectly placed at the foot of the bed. Expansive walk-in wardrobe space and oversized side windows elevate comfort and light, while forward lies an elegant his-and-hers bath, its two spaces thoughtfully divided by a Jacuzzi spa and a separate shower stall, complemented by another smaller TV for added indulgence.
Guest accommodations
Below deck are five beautifully appointed guest staterooms, each with an ensuite bath, access to the Kaleidescape entertainment system, and wifi. In the lower foyer, aft, two identical king-bed cabins—the Freeport and Nassau cabins—await. Forward of them, to starboard, is a generously sized laundry room, while to port are two smaller cabins, the Bimini and Exuma cabins; one sleeps three and the other sleeps two, utilizing Pullman beds. All the way forward is the VIP Andros cabin, featuring a queen-sized bed forward with a generous sitting room aft.
Flybridge
Uniquely conceived, this flybridge doubles as an additional climate-controlled, fully enclosed guest space, presenting a refined dining area with seating for eight and a table that electrically moves out for effortless access. The setting is complemented by a full bar, a fully hooded grill, and a Jacuzzi spa, creating a true indoor-outdoor retreat. Forward, a full steering and navigation station with Stidd chairs enables precise, climate-controlled navigation from the second deck. Immediately adjacent to the Jacuzzi, a technologically advanced automatic plexiglass door operates to retain the cool air-conditioned environment on hot summer days outside. Aft of this enclave lies a spacious deck for sunning.
Communication, navigation and entertainment
