Overview

80’ Luxury Motor Yacht — Performance, Presence, and Poise

Poised along the storied coast of Mexico, this 80-foot luxury motor yacht embodies timeless 1997 lines with the confidence of modern performance. Her commanding profile and sweeping 19-foot beam deliver a presence that turns heads at anchor and underway, while offering the volume and comfort discerning owners expect of a true luxury motor yacht.

Beneath her elegant silhouette lies the heart of a sport yacht: twin MTU diesel inboards provide the assured thrust for a brisk 20-knot cruise and exhilarating speeds up to 29 knots. A well-proven semi‑vee hull form translates that power into poise—softening the seas, tracking true, and rewarding the helmsman with responsive handling. With a substantial fuel reserve of approximately 2,200 gallons, she invites ambitious passages and long weekends alike, while a 300-gallon freshwater capacity supports extended time on the hook.

Built in fiberglass composite with fiberglass decks, she blends strength, efficiency, and low‑maintenance ownership. The result is a quiet, solid ride with a reassuring feel underfoot—equally at home slicing across open bluewater or sliding into a secluded cove. Her notable draft underscores her big‑water confidence and stable ride, contributing to comfort and composure offshore.

On board, generous interior volume creates an inviting canvas for refined living. The beam’s breadth encourages a grand, light‑filled salon ideal for relaxed conversation and elegant entertaining. Thoughtful separation of social spaces and private accommodations fosters a sense of sanctuary at sea, while abundant natural light and clean sightlines connect you to the horizon. Expansive exterior areas beckon for sun‑soaked lounging, unhurried alfresco moments, and starlit evenings shared in quiet anchorages.

Every journey is made effortless by the yacht’s harmonious balance of range, speed, and comfort. Whether cruising between Baja’s hidden bays or setting a course for distant shores, she performs with the reliability and stature expected of an 80-footer powered by MTU diesel inboards. This is a yacht that bridges categories: a luxury motor yacht with the spirit of a sport yacht, the legs of a performance cruiser, and the bluewater credibility afforded by efficient hull geometry and robust composite construction.

For those seeking an elegant, capable, and beautifully proportioned 80-foot platform—equally suited to coastal escapes and offshore adventure—this 1997 build delivers enduring style and seakeeping confidence. A true luxury motor yacht—part sport yacht, part performance cruiser—purpose-built for bluewater exploration with a semi‑vee fiberglass composite hull, diesel inboard power, and the presence of a mini‑superyacht.

Detailed Description

Description

What if you owned a private island, closed to all but those you invite—and what if that private island could move. At sunrise you wake in port; by sundown you are anchored off a beautiful island, free to embrace your loved ones without a care for where they have been or with whom. Welcome to yachting, where adventures and memories that last a lifetime are effortlessly created every day. This is the spirit of the Ferretti 80, conceived as a family cruiser with four comfortable staterooms, a generous salon, and extra-large outdoor entertaining areas that make unhurried cruising feel wonderfully natural.

Starting aft on the main deck, the aft deck becomes the heartbeat of the day from early mornings to lingering evenings, with seating for 8 gathered around a large teak table on teak decks. A molded staircase rises to the flybridge, while two large opening doors lead into the salon. The moment you step inside, the high-gloss rich teakwood declares its extraordinary quality and finish. To port, a couch seats 8; to starboard, a small sofa seats 2. A flat-screen TV and a full AV system accompany sweeping side windows that bathe the space in bright natural light. Moving forward from the salon and up two steps, the dining salon presents a teak table and chairs seating 8 for formal dining. Across from the dining area, the galley stands ready; forward of the galley, a dinette invites casual meals, morning coffee, or relaxed planning of the day’s adventures, with the lower helm station situated across from the dinette.

Below decks amidships, the master suite showcases the yacht’s signature joinery in high-gloss teak. A queen-sized bed rests on centerline with a makeup table on one side and a small couch on the other, complemented by full AV and a TV, and abundant drawer and closet space. Forward of the master, a guest stateroom offers a double bed, ample closet and drawer space, an ensuite head, full AV, and a TV. Opposite, a second guest suite features twin beds, closet and drawer space, an ensuite head, AV, and a TV. Further forward, the VIP suite presents a queen-sized berth wrapped by fine woodwork and surrounded by drawers, with ensuite facilities, full AV, and a TV.

Above it all, the flybridge is the natural gathering place for family adventures, with an upper station for navigation, a large dinette perfect for lunches or happy hour, and plentiful lounging area. Aft sits the davit, with tender storage either here or on the swim platform, plus abundant room for toys, a jet ski, or whatever the day’s adventure requires.

At the helm and throughout, electronics include Raymarine E120 tridata, Raymarine plotter, Raymarine autopilot, Raymarine CDS/408-96-TAO compass, Garmin GPS, Simrad Shipmate VHF, Furuno radar, a 45" LG computer screen, a Harman Kardon stereo, and a Hydromarine bow thruster. Engineering and deck equipment further elevate independence, with a Hydraulic Passarelle, Besenzoni Davit, Lofranz windlass, Offshore Marine water maker, Conndaria air conditioning, a Hydromarine bow thruster, and an air compressor. Power underway and at anchor comes from generators comprising a Kohler 37KW with 1307 hours and an Onan 21 KW with 3796 hours.

For professional service and privacy, the crew area consists of two rooms: a captain’s room with one berth and a crew room with two berths, both served by a private head and shower.
