In 2004, Windigo underwent a remarkable restoration by Classic Yachts Management and Cantiere Sangermani, executed with utmost respect and attention to detail. Every interior component was meticulously disassembled, inspected, and restored, allowing for the integration of advanced hydraulic-electric systems. A stunning new teak deck was installed over premium plywood, and a powerful 200 Yanmar engine was fitted alongside new masts, standing rigging, and running rigging.

Post-restoration, Windigo showcased her prowess in several prestigious races, achieving notable accolades, including a third-place finish at the Argentario Sailing Week in 2006. She dominated her class and overall standings at the Capraia races in both 2005 and 2006, secured third overall at the Mahon-Porto Rotondo in 2006, and clinched the CIM Championship that same year. Following another round of restoration at Cantieri dell'Argentario in 2013, all mahogany hull planking was entirely replaced, with thorough inspections and restorations of frames and floors as necessary, utilizing silicon bronze screws for total fastening.
