Detailed Description
Upgrades Since April 2024
This yacht has undergone a comprehensive series of upgrades since April 2024, ensuring it is equipped with the latest in safety, performance, and comfort. All safety, firefighting, lifesaving, and medical equipment have been meticulously updated to meet the highest standards. The running rigging has been enhanced with new components, including the replacement of spares, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
In January 2025, the yacht received new sail drives and a fresh coat of bottom paint, enhancing both its performance and aesthetic appeal. The Onan generator was serviced, including an oil and filter change, ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently. A W3 service was performed on the Yanmar engines by an authorized Yanmar dealer, Boatswains’ Locker, and List Marine, guaranteeing top-notch engine performance. The Gori propellers underwent a full service, and all bilge pumps were replaced to ensure the vessel's safety and functionality.
The aft deck now features a new table with a slide option, providing versatility and convenience. The AC and heating system were serviced and recharged in January 2025, ensuring comfort in all weather conditions. Solar panels were replaced to maintain energy efficiency, and a new Victron 8000 inverter was installed in January 2025, enhancing the yacht's electrical system. The plumbing for propane was completely renewed, and a full winch service was conducted to ensure smooth sailing.
The yacht is equipped with new B+G mast displays, providing clear and accurate navigation information. It is digitally managed via Vessel Vanguard, with all service records, vessel documentation, and maintenance records kept current, offering peace of mind to the owner. In January 2025, the yacht received a full wax and tech deck cleaning, ensuring it looks as pristine as it performs. Additionally, Starlink was added in January 2025, providing reliable internet connectivity wherever your journey takes you.

Construction
The yacht's construction is a testament to advanced engineering and meticulous craftsmanship, featuring an infused carbon/epoxy hull and deck structure. This composite sandwich construction is post-cured in an oven to ensure maximum strength, while the thermo-formed foam core enhances strength and reduces weight. Built in female molds, the yacht achieves minimal construction weight, with additional carbon fiber reinforcing in highly loaded areas. Carbon fiber longitudinal stringers and ring frames provide further structural integrity. The design includes a sacrificial 'false' bow and forefoot to mitigate impact damage, along with watertight bulkheads that seal off the bow and stern compartments. Additional watertight compartments in each hull, along with structural composite hull floors, save weight and add stiffness. Carbon fiber chain plates complete this robust construction.
The appendages of the yacht are equally impressive, featuring symmetric curved "C" daggerboards that are 6 meters long, constructed with prepreg carbon epoxy spars, carbon shear webs, and carbon fiber skins. The curved daggerboard cases are crafted with vacuum-bagged, carbon fiber, epoxy, and foam sandwich construction. Self-aligning high modulus plastic top and bottom bearings, along with Antal 1200 Watt electric line drivers, facilitate the raising and lowering of the daggerboards. Daggerboard proximity sensors were added in 2020 for enhanced safety. The yacht is equipped with high aspect spade rudders, carbon stocks, and carbon construction in self-aligning watertight bearings, along with two additional shallow draft carbon rudders for cruising.
The finishes of the yacht are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Awlgrip and Alexseal paints are used for both exterior and interior surfaces, with hard semi-ablative antifoul on hull bottoms. Gloss paint adorns some bulkheads, interior hull, and ceiling surfaces, while a synthetic liner covers hull and ceiling surfaces. Rolled grey barrier paint is applied in bilges, and exterior storage lockers feature sealed carbon surfaces. Ring frames and stringers are finished in rolled white barrier paint, and interior doors boast a gloss finish. Teak veneer interior joinery, rolled matte white paint inside cabinetry, and open-grain matte varnish on vertical joinery surfaces add to the yacht's elegance. Interior floors and table tops are finished in gloss filled-grain varnish, with Corian used for galley and head counters. Seating upholstery is crafted from Ultra Leather.
The rigging of the yacht is designed for optimal performance. The mast, crafted by Southern Spars, is a carbon fiber fractional non-rotating mast with a mast head and spreaders. It is made from pre-preg standard modulus carbon fiber, autoclave baked for minimum voids. The stainless steel mast step is rocker-style, allowing for variation in fore/aft mast rake and athwartship shroud stretch. Integral shroud terminals at the top of the mast and loops at the bottom, along with a carbon fiber gooseneck with a stainless steel pin, ensure durability and flexibility. Mesh conduit for mast electrical cables, foldaway nylon steps for main halyard access, and halyards leading to the forward pit enhance functionality. The boom, also by Southern Spars, features a pre-preg standard modulus carbon fiber construction, with a box boom tube and stylized racks for mainsail stack. It includes sheave boxes and locks for three reef lines leading forward to the mast and winches in the forward pit.
The longeron, crafted by Southern Spars, is made from pre-preg standard modulus carbon fiber, autoclave baked for minimum voids, with a custom deep dual tapered section. It features a 3:1 tack outhaul for the reacher tack and carbon attachment points for the Solent forestay, staysail tack, reacher tack, and asymmetrical tack. E6 stays to each bow end of the longeron with lashed ends for articulation, a carbon section pelican striker, and Kevlar whisker stays attached to the dolphin striker for vertical support complete the setup.
The standing rigging includes a custom aramid forestay with a furler for the Solent, custom aramid lower and cap shrouds with loops to chain plates, and custom carbon superior and inferior diamonds with integral turnbuckles. Custom carbon martingales with loops to chain plates and a reacher torsional stay A5 on cable ensure stability and performance.
The yacht's sails, crafted by Doyle Sails in 2022, include a main sail with a square top and three reef points, a Solent with UV leech protection and a removable cover, and an existing North sail staysail with roller furling. The A5 and asymmetrical downwind spinnaker, with a snuffer, are complemented by a set of spare sails, including a main and Solent.
The running rigging, updated in 2021, features all shrouds, headstay, whisker/side stays, tramps, loops for shrouds, and maringale replaced with k49. Halyard control lines, furling lines, and sail control lines lead to the forward pit, with halyards and control lines equipped with lashing ends. The mainsheet runs to a traveler on a line driver, with a hydraulic ram in the boom. Tack, cunningham, and reef lines run to the forward pit, with self-tacking Solent and staysail sheets also leading to the forward pit. Reacher and asymmetric sheets have the option to run to forward or aft cockpit winches.
The deck is equipped with three Harken 990 electric self-tailing 24V winches with toe controls for all lines in the forward pit, and two Harken 990 electric self-tailing alloy 24V winches on the aft beam with toe controls. Winch kill switches, 10-inch aluminum winch handles with holders, and Spinlock or constrictor clutches for control lines are included. The Harken self-tacking jib track with pin stops, main sheet on hydraulic ram in boom, and reacher sheet system with Harken blocks and padeyes ensure efficient operation. Forward trampolines with Spectra border line, composite stanchions with Dyneema lifelines, and Lewmar flush deck hatches with privacy screens provide safety and comfort. Goiot CE certified escape hatches, tinted toughened glass saloon and topside windows, and a passerelle with stanchions complete the deck features.
Docking and anchoring are facilitated by a Lewmar retractable bow thruster, an electric windlass inside the forward underwing locker, and a rope/chain automatic gypsy sized for chain and 3-strand nylon anchor rode. The yacht is equipped with a Rocna 40kg anchor, a foldable Fortress anchor, and anchor rodes with 200 feet of stainless steel chain and 75 feet of nylon rode. Bridles, anchor bridle padeyes, a stainless steel anchor roller exit, and salt and fresh water wash down in the anchor locker ensure secure anchoring. Eight Mega Braid dock lines with chafe protected eyes, four fenders with covers, and eight cleats provide docking convenience.
Storage lockers forward of the mast include large watertight stowage lockers on the forward starboard and port bridgedeck, a large watertight genset locker on the side of the centerline forward of the mast, and a windlass/chain locker centerline forward of the mast. The bow lockers on the port and starboard bow offer enormous watertight storage for sails, hoses, fenders, and more.
Propulsion
The yacht is powered by two robust Yanmar diesel 4JH80 engines, each delivering 80 horsepower and paired with SD60 Saildrives, which were replaced in 2019. These engines are complemented by Gorie Props, treated with "Prop-Speed" for enhanced performance and efficiency. The propulsion system is equipped with comprehensive monitoring tools, including tachometers, fuel gauges, hour meters, temperature gauges, and amp gauges, ensuring you have all the necessary data at your fingertips. For added safety, there are audio alarms for water temperature and oil pressure.
Control is facilitated by ZF Controls, providing smooth and precise handling. The engine room is equipped with a ventilation blower and 3-inch ventilation hoses to maintain optimal operating conditions. A custom composite engine silencer, muffler, and water lift system, featuring a GenSep water separator, efficiently manages exhaust gases and water, directing them through the underwing/chamfer panel and below the waterline.
Maintenance is made easy with oil changers plumbed for both the engine and transmission in each engine box. The yacht is equipped with two 375-liter polypropylene diesel fuel tanks, each featuring cleanout ports and appropriate baffles to ensure fuel stability. The Filterboss fuel and water separators, complete with changeover valves for each fuel system, provide additional reliability. Fuel management is further enhanced with shut-off valves on the fuel tanks, 50mm stainless steel deck fills for each hull, and a fuel transfer system allowing for transfer from port to starboard. This comprehensive propulsion setup ensures that the yacht is not only powerful but also efficient and easy to maintain.
Steering
The yacht's steering system is a blend of precision engineering and advanced materials, designed to offer exceptional control and responsiveness. At the heart of the system is an inside steering station featuring a 1050mm carbon fiber sculptured race boat steering wheel, providing a tactile and responsive connection to the vessel. The spade rudders, crafted with carbon fiber shafts, are designed and engineered by MM to ensure optimal performance and durability.
A carbon crossbar with low play bevel boxes and hardware ensures precise rudder alignment, enhancing the yacht's handling characteristics. The system includes custom self-aligning watertight rudder bearings, with four in total, providing smooth and reliable operation. In the event of a collision, a water containment tube and watertight bulkhead are in place to prevent water ingress, safeguarding the vessel's integrity.
For added convenience and control, the yacht is equipped with an autopilot attachment to both the port and starboard steering tillers. The aft tillers, which are removable, are also made from carbon and are complemented by aft side deck helm seats in carbon. These seats feature a custom control panel on the armrest, allowing for easy management of sail and daggerboard controls. This sophisticated steering setup ensures that the yacht is not only agile and responsive but also safe and user-friendly.
Plumbing & tanks
The yacht's plumbing and tank systems are designed for efficiency and convenience, ensuring a seamless onboard experience. It features two polypropylene water tanks, each with a capacity of 300 liters, providing ample fresh water storage. The Technicomar Sailor Compact water maker, capable of producing 100 liters per hour with UV filters and operating on 220VAC, ensures a continuous supply of clean water. Both hulls are equipped with hot and cold pressure water systems, and there is a hot and cold pressure shower located on the starboard transom for added convenience.
Hot water is supplied by two Isotemp 13-gallon heaters, each operating at 220V/75W, with engine transfer heating available for both the port and starboard sides. Displacement pumps maintain steady water pressure, reducing wear on the pumps. The yacht is equipped with electronic NMEA 2000 gauges to monitor the levels of the two water tanks, two waste tanks, and two fuel tanks. A saltwater washdown system is available for cleaning the decks, anchor rode, and windlass, with outlets in the anchor locker and on the aft starboard transom.
Each hull is fitted with an electric bilge pump system, and a portable emergency "crash" manual bilge pump is also included for added safety. All sanitation hoses are odor-resistant, and flush-mounted thru-hull fittings are installed below the waterline. Seacocks are clearly labeled with tags, and all plumbing hoses below the waterline are double clamped for security. The yacht features two deck fillers for the removal of black water from the tanks, with each black water tank having a capacity of 150 liters. A filtration system for drinking water is installed in the galley, complete with a separate dispenser at the sink.
In terms of ventilation and HVAC, the yacht is equipped with manual blinds for each deck hatch and window in the living spaces, providing privacy and light control. The air conditioning and reverse cycle heat system, with a capacity of 70,000 BTU, ensures comfort in all climates. The system is zoned to cover the saloon, two starboard cabins, and three port cabins, offering tailored climate control throughout the vessel. Custom fixed acrylic portlights in the hull, along with Lewmar opening ports in each head, shower, and berth, enhance ventilation and natural light.
Electrical
The yacht's electrical system is meticulously designed to meet ABYC regulations, ensuring safety and reliability. It features a shore power connection of 220V, with services available in both 12 and 24 VDC as well as 220VAC. The power system is supported by a Northern Lights "Extra Light" 6KW genset, providing ample energy for onboard needs. Two 24V 110A engine alternators further enhance the power supply, ensuring efficient energy distribution.
A 3.36KW solar panel array, with panels replaced in 2021, contributes to the yacht's sustainable energy profile. The heart of the electrical system is a 720 amp/hr lithium-ion battery bank, consisting of four 180 amp hour batteries with a built-in battery management system. For starting power, the yacht is equipped with three Optima AGM starting batteries. Charging needs are met by two 24V 100amp Mastervolt Mass chargers for the house systems and two 12/50A Mastervolt Charger Masters for the ship's systems, engine start, genset start, and radio battery. A powerful 24VDC 7000W inverter ensures seamless power conversion.
